    The Opportunity 
    As the Global Inclusion Specialist, you will support the Gender Transformative Policy and Practice Team Department to deliver an inspiring and collaborative approach that supports the integration of inclusion and intersectionality, particularly to Plan International’s programme and influencing work.
    This work will intentionally build on and strengthen our priority focus on gender equality and girl’s rights as outlined in our global strategy All Girls Standing Strong Creating Global Change and aim to improve the lives of 200 million girls in the next five years.
    In this global role you will provide technical support and facilitate learning opportunities for staff in order to promote and encourage the application of commitments to inclusion outlined in the established Global Gender Equality and Inclusion Policy, and Plan International’s Gender Transformative Approach
    The Person

    Strong practical knowledge of the technical area of inclusion and intersectionality (of non-dominant identities), including people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC gained through post graduate study and/or work and lived experience  
    Demonstrated global/regional experience in taking the lead on Inclusion, especially working to advance the rights of young people who are LGBTQI+ and disability rights across thematic areas of health, education, protection of violence, livelihood.  
    Knowledge of relevant international frameworks and programme approaches that promote child rights, gender equality, girls’ rights and inclusion.
    Excellent understanding of tested learning approaches that promote reflective practice and stimulate individual and collective learning.
    Practical experience in activism and social mobilisation.
    Effective networking, facilitation, training and collaboration skills, in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment.
    Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including cross-functional teams.

    Project Assistant-Coastal livelihoods and Environmental Management

    THE ROLE
    The Project assistant will be responsible for supporting administrative and field project deliverables as guided in the project plan. He/ she will be expected to possess a general knowledge in community development processes. The role will undertake mobilization of target stakeholders including administrative task such as organizing project workshops and meetings. The Project Assistant will coordinate procurement support for the project and ensure that documentations of work activities such as participants attendance lists, distribution, records of project inputs to beneficiaries are available for reference. Additionally, the role will require liaison with other project teams to ensure synergy and integration of project interventions.
    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAIN WORK ACTIVITIES
    Project Implementation: 55%

    Ensure community participation in the project planning, implementation and monitoring
    Ensure that the monthly activities and budget plans are implemented as per approved work plan and that all activities are on track with appropriate scheduling, quality and timelines
    Work with relevant staff to ensure all logistics and procurement processes are in conformity with Plan policies, procedures and standards
    Facilitate access to relevant and accurate information on the project to stakeholders including the government officers, parents, and children.
    Ensure that gender considerations are appropriately defined and incorporated across all phases of design, implementation and reporting.

    Administrative Responsibilities 15%

    Ensure project implementation is within the approved monitoring plan and tracked
    Ensure that all documentation related to activity reports, participants lists and project acknowledgement forms are updated monthly and all project files are up to date.
    Ensure all project related partner, government and other stakeholder relations are well maintained and also ensure that feedback and input from stakeholders are incorporated into the implementation of the project.
    Work with relevant staff to ensure all logistics and procurement at a local level are done according to Plan policies. This will include the development and monitoring of procurement  plans Periodically review the project outline with the Project Coordinator to ensure that implementation is on course.

    Documentation and Reporting: 10%

    Consolidate/write project reports in line with the laid down requirements and Plan standards.
    Work with the Program team and the M&E team in documenting project achievements and lessons learnt.
    Contribute to documentation and sharing of best practices with all stakeholders
    Facilitate and coordinate joint reflection sessions at Sub County and/or County level

    Communications and Stakeholder Relationships: 5%

    To engage and maintain cordial stakeholder relationships for effective project delivery throughout the project cycle
    Maintain a high level of external communication/contact at the community, County levels. This is to facilitate the implementation of the project activities effectively.

    Manage Project Resources 5%

    Implementation of the project within the approved periodic costed work plans.

    Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI): 5%

    Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
    Leads the orientation of programme staff to ensure that they are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
    Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in project design, during implementation and as principles applied in day-to-day work of Programme team

    Qualifications/ experience essential:

    A Bachelor’s degree in Community Development or Environmental Sciences is preferred.
    At least 1 years’ experience in project management/coordination.
    Strong Knowledge of community development.

    THE ROLE
    The Senior Project Manager will report to the Director of Programs, Implementation and Quality and will provide overall COSME project leadership. The role will support the team in overall program quality and effectiveness throughout the project cycle. S/he will be engaged in building better partnerships that drive program intervention, manage partnerships & relationship with key stakeholders at county and sub-county levels, while ensuring alignment to Plan Kenya’s Country Strategy and Plan International’s Global purpose. The job holder will manage multi-million-dollar program and must be abreast with donor trends, regulations, environment, reporting and donor retention.
    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAIN WORK ACTIVITIES
    Technical Program Design, Planning and Implementation (25%)

    Provide leadership in the project management, while ensuring application of technically sound project planning, implementation, profiling, monitoring and evaluation.
    Responsible for implementation and adoption of gender- responsive and socially-inclusive nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation with biodiversity and ecosystem integrity co-benefits in project locations which include mangrove restoration and conservation; Restorative aquaculture-seaweed farming; locally-led forest management and conservation; disaster risk management and Renewable energy options.
    Provide skills, knowledge, and inputs necessary to enable local communities, especially women gain climate and risk-informed economic opportunities, restore and conserve the natural environment to reduce future climate risk and increase biodiversity for sustained ecosystem service.
    Coordinate and ensure technical trainings from Kenyan and Canadian partners on mangrove and coastal management, beach waste management, Restorative aquaculture, climate adaptation and conservation solutions use community-centred conservation tools   such as JGI’s Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation.
    Provide team leadership on training of the partners, selected nature-based solutions groups and partners on the various recommended eco-regions approaches (Community Based Natural Resource management, Restorative aquaculture, Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable energy options, soil and water conservation, Disaster Risk Management, Advocacy and policy influence etc).
    Integrate gender equality and inclusion (GE&I) in project structures including mangrove conservation groups/Community Forest Associations/Seaweed farmers and other value chains operate on principles of equality and address stereotypes, power relationships and intersectional forms of exclusion.
    Support initiatives that increase women’s individual and collective agency in all their diversity to exercise their right to participate in gender-responsive NbS that build household and community resilience and enhance biodiversity through provision of skills and knowledge on their rights and provide gender-transformative life skills to make autonomous and informed decision- making for local climate action and biodiversity conservation.
    Support women leadership and their participation in climate governance as well as ensuring collective action among women’s rights organizations (WROs) and youth- led organizations (YLOs) in local climate action have result strong evidence-based advocacy and policy making on climate change adaptation.
    Support community and partner initiatives that improve gender-responsive, child and youth-friendly governance for climate adaptation, resilience and biodiversity conservation.
    Work with relevant ministries, departments, private sector, civil society and partners to achieve project objectives.
    Ensure gender- transformative approaches are employed in the project to challenge power and gender inequalities that undermine responsive, locally-led climate change adaptation and biodiversity conservation.
    Develop a program capacity building plan of action for partners, CBOs and Community Resource Persons as per context with specific focus on the key objectives.
    Ensure timely and efficient expenditure at acceptable levels as per donor requirements
    Providing strategic leadership and supporting collaborative partnership engagements within the COSME NbS focus areas across the 2 project counties.
    Ensure effective and timely implementation of all levels of interventions and initiatives with communities and partners;
    Monitor and support the timely and appropriate utilization of budgeted resources for all program interventions.

    Quality Assurance, Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation (20%)

    Coordinate program assessments, planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, documentation and dissemination of promising practices
    In collaboration with the MEAL team develop project monitoring and evaluation framework that ensures that the targets and project milestones are effectively tracked.
    Coordinate joint monitoring visits with key partners to track and document program progress in the targeted counties.
    Ensure the feedback from monitoring exercises feed into the working of environment technical working group within the program counties.
    Support the development and submission of program reports and core documents as per donor standards and guidelines.
    Support development of technical papers and or policy briefs on key issues for external engagement with decision makers.
    Ensure correct and appropriate branding and media coverage at all times
    Donor Engagement, Partnership Management and networking (15%)
    Facilitate effective donor engagement
    Ensure collaborative roles and partnerships with key county partners, County Government, National Government line Ministries, KEMRI, KFS, KEFRI, Private sector, Community Based organizations, NGO, Learning Research institutions and any relevant authorities.
    Gender and Youth integration in program activities through the implementation strategies.
    Develop working agreements / MOUs with partners as per need.
    Coordinate stakeholder / partner forums on COSME counties strengthening strategic NbS alliances.
    Coordinate reflection and learning forums for community and partners for purposes of providing forums for experiential learning & reflection.
    In liaison with Partners, lead/support development of data collection and monitoring tools as required.
    Strengthen advocacy on prioritization and increased resource allocation for climate change adaptation; NRM including mangrove restoration and conservation; Restorative aquaculture-seaweed farming; disaster risk management; sustainable agriculture and Renewable energy options related activities by county government and other CSOs.
    Build capacity of community groups on advocacy to engage service providers and participate in forums to relating to conservation and sustainable management of coastal and marine ecosystems and related interventions.

    Financial Responsibility (15%)

    The incumbent will have oversight of all financial aspects of the COSME project 
    The incumbent will act within the provided delegated authority for all financial related processes
    S/he will track projects activity budgets during implementation phases, manage and report on any variances to the line manager and the Country Office Finance and Grants manager. 
    Ensure compliance with all donor requirements and contractual obligations.
    Monitor expenditures to promote prudent Project budget management. 

    Capacity Building and People Management (10%)  

    Lead the day to day running of the Project taking into consideration safety and security of the PU staff, leave and general welfare of all staff and liaise with the relevant offices for necessary support.  
    Provide strategic leadership that inspires the Project team towards the realization of Project purpose and goal.
    Promote team cohesiveness and integration at the Project team level and interface with the rest of the existing Program Unit team.
    Manage the performance, mentorship and coaching for all direct reports and dotted line reports
    Liaise with HR for any staff development issues as per the training needs analysis for the PU

    Logistics Admin and Procurement Oversight (10%)

    Support the development and usage of procurement plans in execution of project activities.
    Oversight on asset, fleet, office and inventory management
    In close collaboration with the Procurement, Administration and Logistics Officer, ensure smooth operations for effective and efficient implementation of the project. 
    Support procurement functions including engagement of service providers.
    Development and submission of administration related reports.

    Risk Management (10%)

    Provide leadership in risk mapping and documentation.
    Consultatively with project team identify and put mitigation measures for project risks.
    Continually monitor the risks environment and act as appropriate.

    Qualifications/ experience essential:

    Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Rangeland Management, Forestry, or Climate Change from a recognized University.
    Minimum of 7 years’ experience in implementing sustainable natural resource management programs; sustainable utilization and management of coastal and marine ecosystems and climate change adaptation in Kenya integrating sustainable livelihoods with demonstrable competencies in designing, planning, implementation, documenting and reporting

    The Opportunity
    As part of the Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning (MERL) team, the primary role of the M&E System Business Analyst is to understand, maintain and support the Salesforce, Taroworks and OpenFN platforms, known as the “M&E System” from an M&E functional and utilisation perspective.  You will be key in ensuring successful utilisation, adoption and functional deployment, maintenance, and ongoing use of the System, aligned to Plan’s M&E frameworks and operating standards and procedures. 
    Through Programme Y.O.D.A. (Your Organisation’s Data and Analytics), we are changing our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution; revising our processes and working practices in relation to Finance, Grants, Programmes and Projects, and Supply Chain; and have developed a new Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) solution.
    As part of Programme Y.O.D.A. you will work closely with the other functional teams that are responsible for components in order to deliver a final end-to-end solution that includes business-approved MERL functionality. In addition, you will be expected to support users in the live PMERL environment as well, including developing custom reports or dashboards as well as support in data analysis on PMERL data.

    THE ROLE
    The Grants Officer is responsible for the assessment and compliance monitoring of grants systems, processes, partnerships, analysis of budgets and expenditures of program areas. This role will work with the Country Finance and Grants Manager, the Business Development staff, Project Managers, Finance Departments and implementing partners. The position will be also responsible for capacity building of partners on grants management and improving ways of working and will support start-up and closeout meetings/workshops.  In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
     
    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAIN WORK ACTIVITIES
    Award and Grants Portfolio Management (25%)

    Support project specific budgeting in liaison with the grants coordinator and National Office (NO) contact person.
    Conduct regular grants monitoring for the project and ensure individual grants performance are being tracked effectively, and that risks and issues are being recognised and action taken.
    Provide regular reports on grants performance to the Project Manager & Grants Coordinator.
    Support in the annual planning process at project level.

    Monitoring and Analysis of Grants 20%

    Track and identify NRGRANT and DUMMY expenditures and ensure timely reversals are done before the closure of the month.
    Monitor and analyse activities regularly and work with Project Manager to resolve any issues identified in specific project.
    Co-ordinate with Project Manager and Grants coordinator in order to ensure budgets are correctly allocated and phased-in.  
    Track and monitor grants expenditure.
    Prepare and deliver timely financial reports.
    Conduct project field visits and spot checks.

    Assessment and Compliance of Systems, Processes and Partnerships 20%

    Work with project teams to ensure adherence to both donor and Plan processes and procedures.
    Support in grants mapping, central filing and updating grants information in the grants management system.
    Participate in due diligence for implementing partners and review MOUs.
    Conduct capacity building for partners on donor requirements.
    Coordinate grants “Kick off” meetings at project level.
    Support timely close out processes for projects.
    Provide information during grants audits and compliance reviews at project level.
    Review of partner’s reports and liquidation of funds. 

    Finance Processes and Reporting: 25%

    Work with project teams to ensure adherence to both donor and Plan processes and procedures.
    Payment requests and related transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with Plan Policies and donor conditions.
    Prepare Financial reports in liaison with project staff.
    Process partner advances and approved liquidations in ERP.

    Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) (5%)

    Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
    Leads the orientation of programme staff to ensure that they are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
    Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in project design, during implementation and as principles applied in day-to-day work of Programme team;

    Reporting to the Head of Research, this post is based at the Global Hub and the incumbent will work in a team of 6 researchers, 5 M&E specialists and 3 M&E system specialists and must work within a shared budget. The Research Manager is also expected to line manage and supervise the Real Choices Real Lives Research and Engagement Officer.
    ACCOUNTABILITIES
    The job is varied and requires an individual who can:

    Manage and provide overall direction to the study, including inputs from the Research Engagement Officer, as well as overseeing data collection and analysis activities, ensuring research activities and research outputs are of high quality and delivered on schedule/in line with ethical principles.
    Lead and coordinate the production of research products, including ‘flagship’ reports and other research outputs that take different formats (e.g., blogs, briefs, thematic pieces, case studies, presentations etc.), aligning these with global and regional activities/priorities.
    Support the integration of study findings in Plan Federation activities and decisions (across policy, advocacy, campaigns, and programming)
    Build the profile of the study at global, regional, and country-level, maintaining a presence within the wider research and evidence debates (particularly related to adolescence/gender), identifying opportunities to present, collaborate and share knowledge more widely
    Oversee stakeholder and strategy management internally and externally.
    Work with colleagues to profile the study on Plan platforms globally, regionally and in-country, including supporting engagement with Plan Country Offices to embed evidence in Plan country activities, through identifying opportunities and inputting to development of tailored/targeted outputs.
    Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in any study outputs and activities.     The Opportunity
    You will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Hub to ensure it delivers on ambitious objectives set by the Gender-Transformative Policy and Practice (GTPP) leadership, in coordination with the Hub Steering Group, managing the  team and being accountable for budget and deliverables. The post holder is a member of the GTPP leadership team, playing a full role in setting direction for the department, agreeing on priorities, resource allocation and provisions to ensure GTPP addresses the needs and rights of girls in a holistic manner.
    You will lead Plan International’s gender transformative practice work within the SRHR Hub, developing evidence based holistic programme and influencing models and cultivating new and existing donors and partners. you will ensure robust technical support – including learning and development initiatives – is delivered to Plan International offices. You will share expertise and knowledge to embed gender transformative policy and practice across the organisation in development and humanitarian settings.
    Providing overall leadership and direction for the SRHR Hub team will involve; 

    Engaging the internal senior Steering Group to support the Hub, and the Consortium members who provide funding for the Hub.
    Collaboration with Policy and Advocacy lead and Learning and Development Advisor in SRHR Hub to take shared agenda forward.
    Close working with Senior SRHR Advisor to ensure high-quality billable services are provided to Plan International Offices.
    Horizontal leadership with other Hubs to ensure that all policy, advocacy and practice work is supporting the whole girl.

    You will oversee the Hub’s strategic direction, manage the team’s operational budget (approx. 60 – 150k EUR each year), and lead internal fundraising efforts for strategic projects. This role involves communication, representation and relationship management with technical and senior staff both internally across the entire organisation, and externally with a range of partners.
    This role leads the development of quality, evidence-base programme and influence models and ensures quality support on SRHR to Plan Country Offices (including for country strategic plans). The post-holder is expected to travel from time-to-time for international key events and regional and country support.
    The Requirements

    An undergraduate or postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in public health, human rights, political science, international development, or other specific field relevant to Plan International’s work.
    Considerable experience and expertise within gender-transformative approaches for sexual and reproductive health and rights programming and influencing, within development and humanitarian settings.
    Experience of leading and managing in a matrix environment, including managing remotely.
    Proven experience in international work environments and intercultural communication, including an understanding of NGO structures, the girls and women’s equality movement and the UN human rights and humanitarian system.
    Direct work experience in countries where Plan International operates, in one or more low- and middle-income country contexts.
    Experience of developing strategic agendas around children’s rights and/or gender equality.
