  • Credit Control Assistant

    Credit Control Assistant

    PURPOSE:
    To ensure that debts are managed and maintained at it’s minimal. To ensure that there is strict adherence to the credit policy.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Participate in implementation of the company’s credit control policy
    Sending monthly statements and resolve incoming queries on outstanding accounts from intermediaries.
    Review debtor’s reconciliation and sign-offs for Insurance brokers/Insurance agents, Facultative Reinsurance business and other intermediaries
    Apply reminders on account to ensure debts are paid in a timely manner and full follow through by relevant intermediaries.
    Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the department
    Referring of uncollected debts to debt collection agencies, managing legal action and reference to the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
    Drive collection of premium debited on a monthly basis;
    Tracing and pursuing long outstanding debtors and where possible, assess capacity to settle debts
    Follow up bounced cheques and contacts the clients for replacements as and when it arises and provides a monthly report;
    Check remittances (RTGS, EFT, IPFs) and facilitate receipting within 2 days and monitor daily receipting and banking of all premiums received;
    Visit and call intermediaries for follow up on collections and reconciliations to provide a weekly report.

    Academic Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field

    Professional Qualifications

    CPA (K) added advantage
    Certificate in credit control management.

    PURPOSE:
    Responsible for managing subsidiary and shared services audit by providing independent, objective assurance and consultancy services in order to improve its overall operations, with specific emphasis on the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assess key risks and preparation of audit work plans;
    Evaluate subsidiary management’s processes of identifying and responding to business and financial risks;
    Plan and monitor the execution of audit assignments for subsidiaries and support functions;

    Professional Qualifications

    Possess relevant professional qualification(s) such as CPA or ACCA or CIA or CISA;
    Be a member in good standing of a recognized professional body e.g. ICPAK; ACCA;

    PURPOSE:

    Support business systems owners in the definition of information security requirements for existing and new applications and communication systems;
    Support project managers during the project risk management process to identify project risks and treatment approaches for systems/ technology-based projects.
    Provide expert advice on the security architecture and configuration of complex systems to the ICT department;
    Participate in quality assurance activities by validating, or overseeing the validation of, the correct implementation of security controls before systems enter production;
    Perform post implementation risk assessments for technology and information systems and recommend appropriate risk management controls.
    Evaluate training and awareness programs carried out by ICT security and HR;
