    The role:
    Child Sponsorship is a core funding stream for ActionAid and as the Child Sponsorship (CS)Transformation Advisor you will drive and coordinate the transformation in the Child Sponsorship product, including the innovation of the supporter communications bringing these into the 21st century to offer an impactful, personalised, and inspiring journey for our new and existing supporters.     Scope of work
    Under the supervision of the Programme Manager – Resilient Livelihoods and Emergencies, Project Coordinator – GRACC and monitoring Coordinator will be required to support the consultant to lead in the endline evaluation in the project areas, support offered government and the impact of the work sustaining the development initiatives that the empowered women are implementing including women with disabilities.
    Methodology
    The methodology of the assignment will be a mixture of quantitative and qualitative data for use in communications. The consultant should at the minimum verify the number of people (women and disability disaggregated) that we worked with directly (that is likely to have behaviour change) and those indirectly. Standard questions will be provided by AAIK team
    Expected Deliverables
    Working with the AAIK team the consultant is expected deliver on the following areas; • Produce a summary of key messages for duty bears based on local women’s knowledge on climate change adaptation • A comprehensive report not more than 25 pages with at least 3 captivating stories from the beneficiaries including quotes, participatory process-based summary of the task • 2 pager summarized info graphic version of the report for high profile international/local audience

    Management of the assignment
    Overall guidance and supervision of the documentation will be provided by AAIK’s Communications staff and GRACC project Coordinator women leaders in the project areas in Tangulbei and any other units as advised. Primary leadership on the task shall be provided by the Project Coordinator.
    Desired expertise
    The lead consultant should have the following:

    A post-graduate degree in environmental management, climate change, project management, Economics, statistics or a related field.
    Proven experience of at least 7 years in undertaking project/programme evaluations.
    The experience should include undertaking of at least five (5) medium to large scale donor funded project/programmes (of which two (3) should be in gendered climate change related fields
    Experience in Capacity development, institutional/organizational strengthening and Policy development/mainstreaming
    Understanding of Human Rights based approach and advancing gender equality principles
    Excellent English writing and communication including report writing and photography skills

    Role Overview
    Further internationalization by providing leadership in enabling good governance practice across the ActionAid International (AAI) Federation through increasing governance capacity, overall oversight and technical inputs and guidance on Membership Development Processes (MDP) -.
    Key deliverables during the cover period will include preparation and delivery of two AAI Assembly meetings, the support provided to several countries on MDP, coordination of the implementation of agreed recommendations of the 2021 Governance Review, technical support provided on the Branch Transfer Project (transfer of CP’s/ Associates/ Affiliates from AAUK to AAI), alongside the provision of technical support to the International Board, to the Governance and Board Development Committee and the International Leadership Team (ILT).
    Areas of Responsibilities
    Strategic Impact and contribution-

    Functional and general management contribution to the international leadership team (ILT) taking a whole GS and Federation perspective

    The Role:
    This is an exciting opportunity for a Humanitarian Fundraising specialist who wants to help people harness their own power to achieve a feminist, just, green transition in the 45 countries where ActionAid works.
    You will lead in securing resilience funding opportunities and providing strategic humanitarian funding support for a variety of humanitarian programmes and projects in different locations. You will provide funding direction in line with the humanitarian and resilience commitments in ActionAid’s 2018-2028 strategy “Action for Global Justice”. This includes development of ActionAid’s humanitarian and resilience fundraising strategy, identifying new donors, managing existing donor relationships with the International Humanitarian and Resilience (IHART) team, ensuring that donor compliance requirements are met and facilitating the development of new programme designs and proposal. You will work closely with ActionAid countries where humanitarian assistance is required, prioritizing Red & Orange Alert emergencies, protracted crisis including preparedness / Disaster Risk Reduction ( DRR) and will build links with international and regional funding leads. Further, you will work closely with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders to secure sustainable funding for the Feminist Humanitarian Network (FHN) as well as facilitating the internal and external uptake of feminist funding policies that support shifting the power and funding to women’s and young people’s organisations and networks. You will represent ActionAid in humanitarian funding/programme fora, working groups and other meetings in support of global, regional and national humanitarian and resilience fundraising. You will support countries, partners and allies to develop humanitarian fundraising strategies as relevant and appropriate and lead on staff and partner capacity strengthening on all aspects of humanitarian fundraising as required.
    Who we’re looking for:

    With significant experience in in a similar role preferably in a multi-country setting, you should also have demonstratable experience in the areas of working with humanitarian fundraising across contexts and experience in securing and managing funds from major humanitarian institutional donors and other philanthropies.
    You should also have strong commitment to ActionAid’s values and ethos, including ActionAid’s feminist leadership principles.
    You should have knowledge and practical application of strengthening capacity of individuals and teams in humanitarian fundraising. You should have significant experience of multi-donor budget development and financial management.
    You should also have strong planning skills and sound skills in capacity strengthening in relation to fundraising and humanitarian programme development. You should have highly developed interpersonal, influencing and relationship skills. It is vital that you have the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines across time zones and for a variety of internal and external audiences

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    In collaboration with other team members, devise mobilisation and engagement tactics that will enable ActionAid (AA) member countries to recruit, engage, organise and activate campaign supporters to achieve short-term political change goals and develop a stronger popular base over the longer term.
    Provide the day-to-day operational management of specific campaigns and project-manage key campaign activities.
    Facilitate and support campaigning capacity development, learning and knowledge development with relevant actors.

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    Strategic Impact and contribution

    Supports development of, coordinates, manages and delivers campaign actions, events and mobilization activities, in order to meet the campaign’s agreed objectives and targets. Working with ActionAid member countries and other Global Secretariat stakeholders, ensure effective ownership of these activities across the ActionAid Federation.
    Ensure a strong knowledge and learning campaigns culture in the Federation. Ensure there are clear supporter targets accompanying all multi-country campaign pushes that have been agreed by all countries involved in the push. Ensure there are clear plans and assigned responsibilities for the effective monitoring and reporting of indicators for multi-country campaign pushes; contribute to monitoring of agreed campaign indicators.

    System, Policies and Procedures, and Product Management

    Ensure that public and supporter campaigning and communications strategies for the campaign can reach and engage large numbers of potential supporters. Devise and produce actions for supporters and the wider public to contribute to campaign objectives. Work closely with communications team colleagues to produce or manage the production of print and web communication materials for the campaign and for regional or international events organized for the campaign.

    Issue Resolutions, Crisis/Risk Management

    With the Campaigns Lead, identify risks that may arise from campaign pushes and develop plans with GS and country colleagues to address and manage them.

    Communications, Influencing, and Coordination 

    Playing a coordinating role internally to ensure all of the structures of ActionAid are contributing. Liaise with heads of strategic priorities and their teams, to develop clear political influencing plans and messaging linked to campaign strategies and annual plans. Work with the Digital Organizer to ensure online mobilization approaches are effectively incorporated into national strategies and jointly plan with the Digital Organizer on multi-country campaign pushes, ensuring linkages to national offline mobilization plans.
    Support AAI countries with their campaign plans especially for jointly coordinated activities and ensure information about campaign actions nationally and globally are effectively transmitted across the federation to enhance coordination and shared learning. Work closely with movements in countries and at a global level.
    Maintain a high level of up-to-date knowledge of national activities, plans and challenges for the campaign and ensure information is circulated to relevant stakeholders in the GS and Campaign Project Team for purposes of joint planning.

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
    Education and Qualifications

    Bachelor degree in human rights, human rights law, political science, social science and related fields

    Essential Experience

    At least two years’ experience of planning and executing (preferably multi-country) campaigns aimed at engaging the public and influencing decision makers
    Experience in working with grassroots movements at local, national and/or regional and global levels, particularly involving people living in poverty.
    Experience of working with people from different organisations, functions, countries and cultures to deliver objectives and projects.
    Experience of using digital campaigning tactics, preferably in an international campaign context
    Experience in tendering and commissioning external communication and creative agencies
    Experience of coordinating campaigns across multiple countries or working on an international campaign.

     Essential Knowledge

    Knowledge of traditional and new approaches to developing and communicating public campaigns, including messages, audiences and delivery methods, which aim to inspire and motivate people to take action.
    Knowledge of social, gender and environmental justice issues in general.

    ROLE OVERVIEW
    The role holder is responsible for providing collaborative, operational and analytical support to ActionAid’s Global Secretariat (GS) People and Culture team in the implementation of its HR initiatives related to Payroll, Remuneration and Benefits, Employer Relations, HR Information Systems, Onboarding & Induction, Performance Management and Learning and Development in addition to other key HR initiatives. Ultimately, this role will provide support that ensures maximum efficiency for key HR functions and systems through optimising systems and ways of working.
    The role holder will gather and process qualitative and quantitative data around jobs, remuneration and employment trends. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying trends, drawing useful conclusions, and recommending solutions. The role holder is the champion and super-user of all Human Resource Information Management System (Bamboo HR)
    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    Strategic Impact and contribution

    Provide HR and project management coordination support. This includes organising meetings and workshops, documenting discussions and keeping minutes as requested for project task teams and developing reports as required
    Set up, maintain and provide support to required systems that support efficient HR operations
    Work with the HR team in developing best practices, streamlining processes, and delivering excellent customer service to employees, Line managers, Heads, Directors and countries
    Compile data/metrics and assess the impact of the HR initiatives within the organisation.

    Manage and maintain HR information systems. Ensure that workforce data is recorded accurately on HR systems to facilitate proper meaningful analysis for information reporting, HR management, workforce development and planning and to produce regular management information on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
    Support with payroll inputs working closely with the finance team on a monthly basis.
    Act as a point of contact with Finance Analyst to coordinate accurate and timely monthly payroll processing ensuring that all staff are paid correctly
    Support the Head of People and Culture and HR Advisors with projects and day to day support as required

    Ensure that GS staff and managers are well trained on key HR Information systems such as Employee Self-Service (ESS), Online Leave management system

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
    Education and Qualifications

    Essential Experience

    Substantial experience (at last 4 years) in Payroll, HR systems and Employee Life cycle management
