    The Role:

    As Web and Social Media Officer, you’ll provide tactical and operational support managing ActionAid International’s social media channels and website. You’ll be responsible for evaluating our social performance through data-gathering and analytics and acting appropriately on the finding to improve our platforms.
    Experienced at building engagement and growth across social media channels, you’ll have access to a wealth of powerful content and compelling messaging, which you’ll help develop into high-performing posts that gain cut-through and prompt conversations across X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.  
    You’ll use your excellent communication skills to build relationships across the federation and with external stakeholders, to develop innovative social and digital strategies to launch multi-country campaigns and fundraising appeals. 

    Who we’re looking for: 

    Demonstrable success in growing engagement and increasing an organisation’s profile through social media platforms.
    Experience of managing social media platforms, including engagement, analytics and risk/crisis management of external channels and conversations.
    Experience of writing for different audiences and ability to breakdown complex information into compelling copy for social posts, blogs and news stories.
    Previous experience of delivering digital or communications strategies for charities, NGOs, political or campaigning organisations.
    Experience using web analytics platforms (preferably Google Analytics) and social media analytics tools.
    Experience managing websites with multiple functionality – e.g., fundraising, supporter engagement, policy informing, working with various Content Management Systems (including Drupal).

    The Role:

    ActionAid International is launching an ambitious climate justice campaign ‘Fund Our Future’ with a flagship report being published in September 2023 documenting the shocking scale of finance flowing from commercial banks to fossil fuel extraction and industrial agriculture in the Global South.
    The Policy Adviser will work closely with the Global Lead on Climate Justice and the Campaign Steering Group to ensure that there is rigorous and sound policy analysis underpinning the global campaign, supporting the global campaign launch and follow-up research and documentation to this flagship report, including advising on corporate challenges that arise and developing supplementary analysis/resources. The role will also support countries keen to engage in this campaign at the national level, offering policy analysis and advice about money flows, targeting and effective approaches to corporate advocacy/engagement.

    Who we’re looking for:

    At least 5 years’ experience of working on climate justice advocacy and on corporate advocacy.
    Strong background in climate justice, social justice perspectives, media and communication
    Good familiarity with gender and women’s rights issues, and a commitment to feminist approaches
    Excellent writing, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness
    Strong networking/relationship-building skills – ability to anticipate, coordinate and facilitate activities with

    Minimum Requirements

    Expected outcomes

    AAIK is seeking a qualified Consultant (team of consultants) to facilitate a culture analysis and make recommendations to correct any gaps that may exist to ensure the culture is aligned to its strategic objectives, ensure employee engagement through embedment of localized best practices, supportive to staff and creates an environment conducive for staff to deliver on their mandates. Some of key areas to pay attention to are:

    Assessment of organizational culture through a validated culture assessment methodology.
    The assessment methodology and tools should have digital capabilities to allow for data cuts and ease of analysis of sub-cultures where necessary.
    Gauge leadership capabilities to support the new culture as well as suggest interventions on the identified gaps.
    Assess the levels of employee engagement and draw strategies to bridge any identified gaps
    Be able to draw both short- and long-term strategies of implementation of the new culture using proven change management systems and methodologies.
    Ensure the culture that is agreed on is supportive of the existing strategic objectives.
    Train and certify a team of internal culture champions and change agents to ensure continuity post the project period.

    The Role:

    This is an exciting opportunity for an Innovation and New Partnerships Lead who wants to help expand AA’s growing institutional funding partnership portfolio, joining an organisation that works to help people harness their own power to achieve a feminist, just, green transition in the 45 countries where ActionAid works.
    You will develop and lead institutional, foundations and corporate funding planning for ActionAid International’s (AAI’s) 2022-25 thematic priorities (climate justice and economic justice), including an overall global restricted funding programme strategy and plan. You will also lead on restricted funding innovation, exploring new or untested restricted funding approaches, playing a change management role in helping the organisation adapt to these new approaches.

    Who we’re looking for: 

    You should hold a master’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Development Studies, Human Rights, Political / Social Science or other relevant discipline or have equivalent experience. You should have experience of restricted INGO funding intelligence analysis, identifying trends and using this information to make recommendations for approaches; experience in developing programme funding strategies and plans. Substantial experience in the development and humanitarian business development, proposal development, developing strategic fundraising innovation ideas with an entrepreneurial spirit and working with a wide range of restricted and designated funding donors. You should have experience of working in an INGO programmes teams or alongside them to ensure programme-led funding and experience of building skills and capabilities of other staff.
    In addition to this, knowledge of global aid and institutional, trusts & foundations and corporate funding sectors as well as a good understanding of and keen interest in recent innovations in NGO programmes, advocacy, campaigning, and movement- building. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment, often remotely.
    It is critical that you have experience of managing conflicting and tight deadlines, prioritising own workload and with minimal supervision.
