    Key Responsibilities:
    Strategic Leadership and management

    Responsible for the overall planning, implementation and management of the grants and Non-sponsorship (PNS) project as well as the achievement of the goals and objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    Ensure strong communication and coordinating with technical leads and other support functions for effective delivery
    Champion implementation and set high quality performance targets ensuring adherence to technical standards, WV regulations, best practices and donor guidelines.
    Design strategies, partnerships and interventions to guarantee the project is gender, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) sensitive
    Ensure WVK is accountable to beneficiaries, donors, government and other stakeholders.
    Primary point of contact and collaboration for the grant implementation team.
    Direct and oversee grant and PNS implementation; ensuring contribution to WVK strategy and donor commitments /promises through proper capacity building, proper staffing and quality assurance.

    Donor Relations

    Represent the grants and PNS to respective donor meetings related to implementation.
    Ensure effective liaison with local government officials, local communities, donor representatives and other stakeholders as appropriate
    Constantly look for more effective and efficient implementation and opportunities to increase impact.
    Ensure timely communication with donors to ensure effective grant support

    Resource mobilization and Engagement

    Coordinate current donor engagement to attract repeat and extended funding
    Ensure effective implementation products including documentations, success stories to position for additional resources
    Liaise with resource acquisition team to contribute to potential growth areas for grants and PNSs

    Monitoring, Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Management

    Lead an effective monitoring and reporting system for the grants and PNS
    Establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems including schedules
    Coordinate timely, accurate and quality reports submission that meet donor requirements
    Document and disseminate project best practices, lessons learnt and success stories
    Establish a strong knowledge management function for the grants and PNS
    Coordinate regular data audits and quality assurance to enhance accountability and implementation fidelity

    Budget Management

    Manage grant and PNS budgets within approved spending levels and ensure accurate and timely financial reports to donors and World Vision.
    Ensure grant and PNS expenses are reasonable, allocated as per assigned budget, prudent and spent in accordance with donor rules and regulations to ensure low risk audits
    Ensure effective budget monitoring across grants for delivery on time and on budget

    Risk and compliance

    Ensure risk management across the grants including risk assessments and process improvement plans
    Coordinate audit response and management plans for grants and PNS
    Ensure due diligence processes as per WV and donor requirements
    Ensure all compliance expectations across the grants and PNS are delivered
    Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee from time to time

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

    Master’s degree in social sciences, management, business administration, or a related field
    7 years of experience in a senior role leading a complex technical service delivery program of similar scope and dollar value.
    5 years of demonstrated experience in partnership building, especially with government representatives, donors, the private sector, and local community organizations.
    Proven ability to manage diverse teams across different sectors
    Familiarity with multiple donor regulations including UN, foundations, Bilateral governments among others.
    Demonstrated accomplishment in working with professionals, ministries and with donor colleagues in country
    Past experience of working in multiple grant supported projects and knowledge of financial rules and regulations at a senior level.
    Experience in developing program work-plans, budgets, managing implementation, staff and short-term technical assistance.
    Excellent performance track record
    Demonstrated ability to deliver results and meet all donor deliverables.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Technical Support

    Support in ensuring timely implementation of all the protection and safeguarding related interventions, methodologies and models in the Area programs.
    In liaison with the CPP&S TP Manager, offer technical leadership in the development of the annual implementation plans and budgets ensuring protection and safeguarding is integrated.
    In liaison with the CPP&S TP Manager, develop and review monthly support activity schedules to ensure on time, on budget, on target implementation of the projects and programs related to the CPP&S TP so as to meet community, WVK and donors expectations and accountability.
    Working in consultation with the POs at field level, ensure establishment of functional community child protection, adult safeguarding reporting and feedback mechanism structures and provide the necessary actions and support in a timely manner.
    Provide technical support to; NO, programs and projects to ensure that they have contextualized and operational Safeguarding Incidence Preparedness Plan (SIPP).
    Offer technical support to safeguarding management committees at NO & AP level and ensure that WVK remains a child safe organization.
    Support in the implementation of the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy at the National and AP level ensuring that the Policy is well socialized and implemented in compliance to the WV Partnership standards.
    Support in monitoring cases reported in Ethics Point and ensuring timely closure of the same.
    Submit a weekly update report on cases reported and closed in Ethics Point.
    Coordinate participation of children in national and local children forums ensuring safeguarding protocols are observed.
    In close collaboration with the supervisor, support staff recruitment, retention, mentorship, and coaching.

    Quality Assurance, Monitoring, Evaluation, Documentation and Learning

    Ensure alignment of all Child protection Design, Monitoring and Evaluation activities with the stipulated protection and safeguarding standards.
    Coordinate and participate in safeguarding risk assessment for programs.
    Participate in the WVK safeguarding annual self-assessment and implementation of its recommendations.
    Participate in research and learning agenda in close collaboration with identified academic partners and support office to ensure protection and safeguarding requirements are incorporated.
    Support in development of a safeguarding risk register to ensure risk mitigation in implementation and ensure accountability.
    In consultation with field teams, DMEAL coordinator, project managers and communications officer, develop context specific electronic and appropriate documentation on best practice and lessons learned.
    Generate Quality & Accurate quarterly, semi-annual and annual protection and safeguarding reports informed by Monthly Management Reports and in line with relevant offices requirements and regulations.

    Advocacy, Networking, Collaboration & Partnerships

    Establish and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders.
    Work with partners and coalitions to engage in advocacy activities with the government structures, (both at National and County level) to address the protection and safeguarding needs of local communities within WVK areas of operation.
    In coordination with the Child Protection, Participation & Safeguarding Technical Program manager and the Advocacy Manager participate in national level coalitions on CP advocacy issues.
    In collaboration with the program managers, ensure that program participants and partners are kept informed of all Government laws and policies and WVK policies in respect to Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse (PSEA) and Child protection and Child and Adult safeguarding.
    Participate in relevant Annual National and County Government’s Planning and Budgeting processes and influence resource allocation to the priority needs of the most vulnerable groups in programme areas.
    Participate in relevant Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings.

    Resource mobilization

    Support development of timely and accurate funding proposals in line with donor requirements and WVK protection and safeguarding standards in collaboration with Managers and other sector specialists.
    Provide information to advise fund raising initiatives for programs related to; Child protection, participation and safeguarding.

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

    Minimum 3 years’ experience in community development work implementing child protection and adult safeguarding programs. Familiarity with GBV/FGM projects a plus.
    Thorough understanding of all areas of project management cycles in a complex, international development organization especially in development or Relief Projects.
    A good understanding of International, Regional and National framework on human rights for women and children such as Convections on the Rights of the Child, ACRWC, ANTI-FGM Board operations, Convention for the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women, Africa Charter on the Rights and Welfare of Children, Prohibition of female Genital Mutilation Act, Children Act among others.
    Experience in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting.
    Demonstrate ability to influence, network and collaborate with national and county level government, NGO and UN Agency on child protection initiatives.
    Proven track record as a staff and community trainer and capacity builder in Child Protection, and safeguarding.
    Familiarity with systems approaches to child protection programming, advocacy approaches and referral systems.
    Demonstrate ability to manage resources efficiently and effectively.
    Demonstrate experience in implementing faith and development models and working with faith leaders.
    Must be a committed Christian who is able to stand above denominational and cultural diversity challenges.
    Excellent oral and written communications, team player, and proficient in English and Kiswahili.

    Assist to track and analyze procurement performance and savings against established target levels 

    Process, Procedure and Policy

    Conduct all procurement related tasks as per the approved procurement policies, processes and guidelines.
    Collect customer feedback relating to the policies, processes and guidelines, and report to NO Management for improvements or change,

    Systems Development & Implementation

    Collect and collate useful data which can be used to improve the general systems established and communicate this information to immediate Supervisor

    Control & Compliance

    Assist to conduct supplier pre-qualification for all new-suppliers and maintain records.
    Participate in development of risk identification & assessment tools, registers and other tools and assessing SCM and contractual risks for procurements of goods, works or services
    Maintain proper filing and record keeping as per the guidelines set by the management.
    Coordinate with Requesters to close out open POs in a timely manner.
    Perform any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or designee from time to time
    Participate and contribute in committees and task forces as may be signed from time to time

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
    Those eligible to apply for graduate internship programme shall be Kenyan citizens who meet the following criteria;

    Bachelor’s degree graduates who either are beneficiaries of child sponsorship, or have experienced the impact of WV’s community development in their homes will be given priority.
    Graduates who show genuine desire and ability to serve among the poor in rural and semi urban areas of Kenya.
    Graduates who are practicing Christians regardless of denomination, gender and ethnic background.
    Graduates with demonstrated good character, honesty, high competency and generally in good physical and emotional health.
    Graduates who are willing to commit their time on the project for the entire year.
    Graduates who have completed studies in bachelor’s degree in either Commerce (Procurement) or Procurement or Supply Chain Management or relevant field of study within the last 1 (one) year.

    Key Responsibilities:
    The intern will work closely with the staff in the department, while being exposed to the following areas to develop their skills: –
    Digital Workplace Analysis and Service Desk Support

    Digital Workplace planning and documentation
    Support development of customer satisfaction levels and ensure they are achieved through established metrics against SLAs.
    Provide support to develop, implement, operate and maintain End User Digital Technologies. Facilitates and provides input to the design/development process.
    Support day-to-day technical support to end users – triage, resolve or escalate reported incidents and problems.
    Support Research on trouble issues which affect multiple clients.
    Works with vendor technical support personnel on solutions for client’s issues.
    Provide responsive support for problems found during normal working hours as well as outside normal working hours.
    Generate activity and status reports and share with the supervisor.
    Support the process of closing customer feedback loop for Continuous Service Improvement
    Support continuous improvement of digital IT workspace service improvements and offerings to end users via proactive measurement, evaluation and ideation.

    Support regular customer experience and satisfaction surveys.

    Software Development, Server Administration and Cloud Services

    Needs assessment for software systems for the organization’s needs.
    Maintenance, Modification and regular improvement of existing software systems
    Regular back up of local servers and supporting migration to cloud servers.
    Regular data cleaning of user data in the servers to ensure integrity of the data.
    Support updates and patching of the organization’s servers

    Network and Infrastructure Management

    Network monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation.
    Support seamless connectivity in the HQ and field offices.
    Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues in the National Office as well as the field offices.
    Support management of infrastructure power systems and power backup systems
    Participate in supervising on-site preventative maintenance and repair of infrastructure.

    Business Analysis and Vendor Management

    Ensures that all technical resources are available for meetings that include video conferencing.
    Monitors services provided by vendors to ensure service levels meet requirements.
    Participate in evaluation of vendor solutions to ensure compliance with requirements and policies.
    Support in enrolment of the solutions to staff while supporting the staff with any technical issues related to the solutions.
