  • Instrumentation & Control Technician Mechanical Engineering Technician

    Instrumentation & Control Technician Mechanical Engineering Technician

    Duties;

    Troubleshooting and corrective and preventive maintenance of electrical and control systems
    Repair of instrumentation systems, equipment and components within the factory
    Install and maintain electrical control and instrumentation systems
    Modify, design and change control circuits, install temporary systems to ensure smooth operations
    Ensure proper documentation and records
    Train staff in the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment
    Updating Schematic drawings on any repairs or alterations made in the control panel or recording instruments
    Supervise and train junior technicians
    Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
    Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:

    Qualifications:

    Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent course
    O-Level Education
    Understand the basics of Food Safety
    Successful candidate should be available to report immediately

    Experience:

    2-3 Years in a similar role in a Food Manufacturing Company

    Job Description
    Job Responsibilities

    Operate the water treatment plant facility including disinfection, coagulation/flocculation, sedimentation and filtration equipment including pumps, valves, motors, chemical feed systems and related equipment
    Collect water samples for testing and verification testing of raw, semi processed and treated water as per the schedules.
    Adjust water operations based on the results
    Inspect plant and related equipment for proper functioning
    Observe safe work procedures and ensure that proper OSH practices and procedures are followed
    Perform installation and maintenance and repairs of the physical plant and pumping installations and all their components
    Assist in performing regular and unscheduled maintenance repairs Performs and records various tests of the water
    Coordinate plant tasks based on protocol and importance
    Maintain records on chemical usage, storage and equipment operations and updating daily data reports during the shift Perform duties as required by the supervisor

    Qualifications

    Minimum O level education.
    Experience in a water treatment plant for more than 3yrs
    Have knowledge of RO plant operations
    Be able to Perform daily checks of the water treatment process and periodic checks of pump station
    Have a working knowledge of the operation, methods and procedures of both conventional water treatment and RO water treatment plant
    Have thorough knowledge mechanical equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunction
    Have a working basic knowledge of machinery preventive maintenance and repair
