    Overview: Under the leadership of the CHAMPS Project Coordinator, the Project Officer- RMNCAH will ensure community-based and facility based – delivery of RMNCH services in the CHAMPS catchment. This will be achieved through effective coordination of health systems strengthening interventions in the GoK and the project anchor facility (Our Lady of Lourdes Mutomo Hospital) – as they interphase with community health volunteer system.

    As such, he/she will directly oversee the capacity development of health care workers and CHVs across the supported facilities with a focus on RMNCAH technical areas. For this critical synergistic function, he/she will ensure that facilities are adequately equipped in terms of infrastructure, equipment, supply chain and routine health data feedback forums with county and sub county Health Management teams and

    members of community leadership are conducted.

     

    Responsibilities

    Provide overall implementation of activities within the RMNCAH technical area including joint support supervision on MNCAH / RH services to the health facilities together with Health facility managers
    Contribute to the capacity building of the project staff and MOH competences in RMNCAH knowledge and skills including mentorship, coaching, OJT, and regular updates.
    Review and analyze data for performance monitoring of the MNCAH program and utilize the data to take corrective actions through monthly and quarterly data review meetings at the sub counties and facility levels.
    In collaboration with other team members, preparation of quarterly and annual donor reports.
    Provide leadership in writing of abstracts for conferences and manuscripts for publication
    Planning, conducting, evaluation and follow up of trainings, sensitizing and orientation in Kitui South Sub County on BEMOnC, Essential Newborn Care, IMNCI, among other trainings.
    Provide guidance and support to county staff to coordinate and link initiatives of other partners in supporting health facilities in service delivery
    Represent the project in county technical committees including TWGs and stakeholders’ meetings in relation to RMNCAH programming
    In collaboration with staff, prepare and track the progress of program and activity budgets
    Supporting facilities to improve quality of service delivery through QA / QI approaches by monitoring and tracking key indicators in RMNCAH
    Jointly with SCHMTs, plan and coordinate community mobilization for RMNCAH services demand creation as well as implementation of the integrated outreaches in hard-to-reach areas.
    Working with Community Health Units in Identification and tracking of pregnant women in the community with the aim of improving demand creation and uptake of maternal and child health services (ANC uptake, Skilled Birth Attendance, Immunization and growth monitoring) to reduce maternal and perinatal mortalities
    Provide technical guidance in QA / QI in RMNCAH service delivery. This include identification, tracking and evaluation of sub-optimally performing indicators in maternal and newborn health
    Support formation and operationalization of MPDSR committees at facility and community levels
    Supporting data quality audits, gap assessments and application of different data collection approaches for facility- and community-based health project work.

    Qualifications

    You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years’ relevant experience in successful field implementation of RMNCAH programing in Kenya.
    You have at least 3 years’ hands-on experience in community health program implementation
    You have demonstrated skills in designing and rolling out GoK-endorsed approaches that result in improved uptake of services for RMNCAH
    Clinical background is an added advantage
    You have strong writing and analytical skills, including writing of reports
    You can work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and intense pressure to perform and the ability to manage several major multidimensional activities simultaneously

    Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager CMMB plans to support the Kiambu, Nyandarua and Kitui counties’ department of health to conduct malaria data quality audits at selected health facilities between October and December 2019. We are seeking to recruit temporary field assistants to support this activity in the said counties. The incumbent will ensure the smooth implementation of these activities and discharge the responsibilities as below.
    Responsibilities

    Account for financial resources utilized during the DQA exercises as per CMMB policies
    Ensure DQA activities and processes are compliant with set guidelines and policies.
    In liaison with the county malaria control coordinator, provide logistical and administrative support to Ministry of health teams conducting the DQAs.
    Represent CMMB at county, sub-county and facility malaria DQA meetings as may be called upon.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Terms of Reference for Consultant facilitating 2 days workshop on Sustainability Strategy meeting for Cervical Cancer Interventions and Lessons sharing forum for Community Health Services in Kitui South Sub county

    Scope of Work
    Through its Children and Mothers Partnerships (CHAMPS) Program, CMMB has been working with key stakeholders and communities for a long-term impact, to deliver result driven and evidence-based interventions in a bid to respond to leading determinants of poor health among women and children in Kitui South sub county.
    CMMB therefore invites bids from competent individuals or firms to submit their Expression of Interest for consultancy services to facilitate a 2-days workshop.
    The consultant’s role will entail facilitating discussions to document gains achieved and lessons learnt from on-going implementation in community health services but also develop a Sustainability Strategy for the Cervical cancer project interventions as a key deliverable.
    The first day of the workshop will bring together key actors in cervical cancer interventions in the county including key county and national government departments, community members, community health volunteers and non-governmental organizations to map a way forward in terms of how the achieved gains will be sustained as the project draws towards the end.
    The second day of the workshop will focus on community health services and map key achievements, best practices and lessons learnt.
    Under the supervision of the CHAMPS Coordinator, the consultant will be expected to provide the following documents as key deliverables;

    A document outlining a Sustainability Plan for Cervical cancer interventions supported by CMMB.
    A write up of key lessons learnt and action points from the show casing and dissemination event for Community Health Services in Kitui South.

    Skills, experience and qualifications required

    Five years progressive experience with similar assignments in a development or humanitarian context
    Excellent facilitation skills, in-depth understanding of MoH systems is an advantage.
    Excellent writing skills and extensive experience in producing development work related project documents for international organizations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences.
    Experience in development communication will be an added advantage
    Availability and willingness to travel to Kitui
    Ability to work in close coordination with other team members.

    Assignment Duration and Reporting
    The task is expected to be completed within three working (3) days, inclusive of field visits and reporting, from the date of signing of the contract.

    Working days period

    Overview

    Responsibilities
    The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Officer and project team to perform the following tasks:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in commerce (BCOM) or Business Administration majoring in accounting or Finance.

    Minimum of two years of accounting experience in a similar capacity working with NGOs on donor funded project.

    CMMB is implementing Community focused HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment interventions in Siaya with support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through the Kenya Red Cross Society. The overall goal of the project is to contribute to achieving Vision 2030 through universal access to comprehensive HIV prevention, treatment and care for all. Key to the project’s activities is contributing to the attainment of 90-90-90 HIV management cascade among the populations we serve. Amongst other result areas, the project seeks to contribute towards reduction of new HIV infections among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) ages 15-24 and other priority populations through the provision of behavioral and biomedical interventions to AGYWs to reduce the risk of HIV infection as well as ensuring effective care for HIV infected AGYWs. This is besides community wide activities to address community mobilization towards norms change and prevention of gender-based violence.

    Department Summary
    The Programs Department plays a critical role in achieving CMMB’s strategy around improving the lives of women and children,  by leading the provision of high quality programs focused on children’s and mothers’ health, and particularly in the development and implementation of our CHAMPS model. This team is also responsible for generating revenue from and partnering effectively with government(s), major foundations, and other major donors, and will help to position and enhance CMMB’s technical capacity and reputation in the field of global healthcare.
    CMMB has been working in Kenya for almost 15 years. CMMB works to ensure that the most vulnerable populations, especially mothers and children, have access to quality services in health care, health promotion and illness prevention.
    Overview                                      
    Under the leadership of the Country Director, the M&E Manager will lead planning, day- to- day monitoring and evaluation activities, analysis and reporting management of consultants and special studies as well.  
    Responsibilities

    Providing expertise in M & E planning and methodology
    Leading in and providing support to project design and activities including strategic frameworks (Results framework, log frames etc)
    Developing monitoring and evaluation plan
    Assisting the program teams to determine performance and impact indicators and targets
    Implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools
    Developing data collection tools
    Monitoring project activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
    Working with data platforms, databases and select technologies to capture and organize data
    Contributing to institutional learning processes
    Analysing qualitative and quantitative data
    Developing quarterly and annual reports depending on project requirements
    Training field staff in in monitoring and evaluation processes and providing ongoing coaching
    Convening communities of practice and other organizational learning practices
    Tracking best practice in monitoring and evaluation

    Qualifications and Experience:

     You have a University degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social sciences or related field. A postgraduate
    You have a course/certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation.
    You have at least 7 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/ Government.
    You have experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports;
    You have proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software;
    You have expertise in analysing data using statistical software;
    You have experience in project management life cycle including proposal writing.
    You have strong training and facilitation skills.
    You can demonstrable leadership and managerial skills including ability to be a team player.
    You can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    You should be organized, hardworking and personable.
    You are comfortable working for a faith-based organization.
