    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Chapter Lead, HR Service Delivery, the position holder will be responsible for ensuring best-in-class new employee on-boarding experience and assessing the quality the quality of new hires.     Responsibilities

     Work with HRBPs and Line managers to ensure best-in-class new staff orientation and induction that provides world-class employee experience.
     Ensure all new employees including temps and contractors are issued with tools of trade, starter packs and contract letters.
     Acts as first point-of-contact for new hires during the first 90 days.
     Facilitate the collection of all statutory documents from new hires at point of entry.
     Conduct and evaluate results of 30-, 60- and 90-day surveys to uncover on-boarding concerns and establish quality of hire.
     Work with HRBPs and line managers to ensure all new hires have documented performance reports and probation reviews on Oracle prior to confirmation.
     Ensure confirmed new hires receive confirmation letters and their records have been updated on Oracle.
     Continuous improvement of the on-boarding process including employee experience.
     Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

     Bachelor’s Degree and Higher National Diploma in HRM and /or CHRPK
     A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience

    Reporting to the Principal Officer-Revenue Assurance, the role holder will be responsible for providing assurance to the business on billing, revenue and cost reporting for all services including core GSM services, Valued added services(VAS) Digital content and services, Fixed Services, managed IT services among others in line with revenue assurance policies and controls.
    Detailed Description

    Proactively identify and report on all areas that are susceptible to Revenue leakage
    Implement and monitor Billing Assurance controls in the revenue assurance system
    Perform impactful product risk assessments to ensure functionality of the product, rating and billing is accurately done in line with the approved business rules to ensure minimal revenue loss.
    Perform end to end reconciliation for all revenue streams in liaison with the Billing team and the data clearing house where applicable
    Daily monitoring of traffic, customers, revenue and reconciliation of the same in the RA system to source systems and timely error management reviews
    Develop appropriate procedures that will ensure that the organization pays correct and optimal amounts to partners.
    Revenue validation and Reconciliation to key reporting systems  (business intelligence systems and the financial systems) for completeness
    Monitoring of the system interfaces for all product purchases which could include Retail Management System (RMS), M-PESA, Billing System and Financial Reporting system (ERP)
    Payment integrity checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of payments including trade commissions and partner revenue share.
    Recommend policies and procedures to help identify revenue leakage in all service revenue areas and reduce incidences of revenue loss within the organization.
    Champion revenue reconciliations and the Airtime top up management system to the General ledger.
    Periodic review of the controls and risk assessment to align to current business processes
    Support changes within the organization relating to critical projects and system upgrades by undertaking risk assessment and data migration assurance.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Qualifications 

    A graduate with a degree in Computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, or Commerce.
    Professional certification in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, data science/analytics or Information Systems will be added advantage.
    Relevant post-graduate education is an added advantage
    Have at least 2-5 years’ experience in Assurance, Risk Management and/or Management of Business Process Improvement
    Revenue Assurance Practitioners Certification is an added advantage.

    Job Responsibilities                

    Proactively advise and support the wider business in providing and coordinating tax advice on the implications of key transactions and ad hoc projects, including related party transactions.
    Identify and ensure that legislative changes are reviewed and adopted in a timely manner, including implementation of system changes where necessary.
    Manage relationships with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and external tax service providers for tax-related queries and changes in tax legislation specific to the telecommunication industry.
    Research solutions and risk mitigation for any emerging tax issues across the Group.
    Prepare the Group’s periodic (monthly and annual) accounting (income and deferred tax) provisions and related financial statement disclosures, including tax planning and forecasting reports.
    Coordinate with external tax advisors on Kenya corporation tax computations and returns and ensure timely submissions.
    Ensure monthly tax returns (VAT, excise duty and withholding tax) are prepared and submitted to the KRA within prescribed timelines, including payment of the corresponding tax liabilities including; reviewing and managing payments of custom duties and levies.
    Oversight of PAYE for payroll purposes.
    On an ongoing basis, review the overall management of tax compliance processes within the Group (tax health check).
    Work with, and where required provide training to the Finance, Support and Commercial Functions’ teams to ensure optimization of tax efficiencies and mitigation of tax exposures within the controls environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    University degree from a recognized university in Law, Finance or business-related fields.
    At least one full professional qualification in accounting e.g. CPA, ACCA CTA or an equivalent.
    8 years’ experience in progressive tax finance roles, including tax reporting, compliance, and accounting.
    In depth experience and technical knowledge of tax accounting and disclosures for accounting purposes, including deferred tax and prior year adjustments.
    Experience in proactive management of tax matters, keeping up to date with changes in the regulatory environment and dealing with Tax Authorities will be an added advantage.
    Proactive, confident, energetic with the ability to work under pressure, to tight schedules/deadlines and monitor and follow up on all actions taken.
