    Reporting to the Head of Network Operations, the incumbent’s role will include;

    End-to-end planning and delivery of operating expenditure, monitoring and analysis followed by implementation of action plans aimed at optimizing Network operating expenses

    Give inputs on OPEX saving initiatives in conjuction with relevent specialist managers to achive optimised OPEX annual targets.
    Monitoring, analysis and control of various Network operating expenses constituents to achieve Annual Operating Plan targets
    Drive an efficient and cost-optimised Network operations without affecting customer perceived network quality
    Prepare monthly flash & forecast and other periodic reports pertaining to network opex for internal stakeholders
    Conducting pilot studies and trials with partners and contractors for new innovations to achieve optimized network operating expenses
    Deliver on set Network’s Annual Operating Plan operating expenses targets by drafting and running projects leading to opex efficiency

    Qualifications:

    Undergraduate Degree in Engineering/Technology (Electronics & Communication) or Finance
    3-5 years of versatile experience in Network Operations or cost control
    Good understanding of latest Telecom technologies and products

    Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the responsibilities will include and are not limited to;
    Handling management reporting and ensuring all month end/year end closing activities are completed on time
    Preparation of key reconciliations for review, sign off and coordinate General Ledger Analysis. Reconciliations will include the following – Financial Accounting/ General Ledger; Payment Voucher/ General Ledger; Intelligent Network/General Ledger; Account Payable/General Ledger; APPO/ General Ledger; Capital work In Process / General Ledger; Inventory/ General Ledger; vendor, Account Receivable/General Ledger and Cash/Bank reconciliations
    Preparation of statutory accounts and circulation of the Financial Reporting calendar and Foreign exchange rates
    Coordination of all audit activities by ensuring a smooth audit process, and timely provision of audit schedules, resolution of audit queries, response to audit issues adherence to the audit calendar and tracking of audit activities
    Champion process improvement initiatives that build a robust controls environment by carrying out end to end review of all Finance processes to ensure relevance to business needs, compliance to the Group office requirements, regulatory requirements and accounting standards
    To educate the team on accounting guidelines, standards and procedures
    Preparation and disclosure of Tax schedules and ensuring the proper usage of tax account codes
    Timely provision of tax computation inputs and accounting of statutory reporting for deferred tax and corporate tax
    Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in either Accounting, Finance , Business or Economics
    Certified Accountant (CPA / ACCA)

    Job description
    1. Budgeting (Capex) for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
    Interact with the network team in HQ to define the network requirement in for form of BOQs as per the business needs
    Coordinates with the operations to insure timely submission of the capex requirement
    Work closely with the supply chain management, be aware of the contract, rate and price books in place, to price the defined BOQs and convert to CAPEX.
    Work closely with the finance team to validate the capex against business requirement
    2. Capex Governance
    Insure opco compliance to the capex guidelines
    Handle the processing, documenting and tracking the exceptional request of capex outside of the capex cycle
    Reporting and analysis of capex spends.
    Oersee the capex execution, optimize the capex spending and validate the capex utilization reports issued by finance
    3. Deployment: Execution of the AOP
    Getting deployment data from opco’s on periodic basis
    Helping out and assisting opco’s in solving bottle necks and issues hampering the rollout speed.
    Create Project Tracking Systems and ensure continual improvements in Business Model
    Insure the smooth execution of following Processes:
    a. Deployment Workways
    b. CWIP Management
    c. SRN Guidelines
    d. Inter-opco equipment movement guidelines
    Circulating periodically deployment reports to all stakeholders and Airtel Africa management
    4. Partners and Vendors Governance
    Determine and Manage strict timelines and quality delivery in a multi-vendor environment with the major Partners (Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE) and vendors by periodic reviews with the partners/Vendors
    Development and Monitoring Partner scorecard
    5. Inventory management
    Ensure Management of CWIP (Capital work in Progress) and SRN (Site Return Note) on airtel Africa level to keep the equipment aging in the warehousing within airtel guidelines
