    General Responsibilities:

    Specific Responsibilities:

    In close collaboration with the National Department Manager Programmes and Projects, lead in the provision of Technical Assistance for implementing teams and support capacity development initiatives and training of youth and implementing partners.
    Oversee overall management of project annual work-plans and budgets; support the preparation and submission of timely and quality reports and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
    Support programme staff in forging and strengthening strategic networks and linkages with key actors including decision makers, existing advocacy networks within the programme areas and link advocacy efforts with national policy agendas.
    Ensure programme quality by undertaking periodic visits to project areas to backstop challenges, participate in periodic project reviews and reflections and ensure project implementation is on course.
    In collaboration with the National Team Coordinator, Research and Evaluation, support evidence generation and documentation of good practises for lesson learning and knowledge sharing.
    Maintain positive relationships between DSW Kenya and it’s donors, in collaboration with the National Department Manager programmes & projects and National Team Coordinator for Business Development.
    Represent DSW in stakeholder forums in the region and in the counties of project implementation.
    Collaboration closely with relevant support departments to ensure seamless processes such as procurement, reimbursements.
    Support the resource mobilisation efforts to ensure continued resourcing of DSW Programmes.
    Responsible for project team management and human resource coordination in collaboration with the National Department Manager.
    Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements and Experience

    Masters’ degree in Social Sciences.
    Relevant training in Project Management, participatory methodologies and related fields an added advantage.
    Good understanding of adolescent and youth development, gender equality and women empowerment and Sexuality and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) programming.
    Good networking and capacity building skills, good oral and written communication skills.
    Must have prior working experience of not less than 5 years in a similar position preferably in an NGO setting.
    Hands on project management experience and reporting for international donors.
    Excellent skills in capacity building of adolescents, youth and women in low resource settings, oral and written communication, as well as networking, collaboration and partnerships maintenance.
    Proficiency in computer use, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and internet-based platforms
    Ability to inspire team members, and also to work independently.
    Ability to work with and understand the youth while maintaining professionalism

    General Responsibilities:
    The Resource Mobilisation Officer will lead and oversee resource mobilisation and partnership development in DSW Kenya.
    Specifically, he/she will support DSW Kenya to grow and diversify its funding base for delivery of organisational goals in line with the Strategic Plan.     Specific Responsibilities:
    Funding Analysis and Donor and Partner Engagement;

    Lead and manage resource mobilisation processes including research and analysis of new funding opportunities and donor trends.
    Lead relationship-building efforts, including fostering close collaboration with donors at national and international level and managing donor consortia for resource mobilisation and programme design.
    Represent DSW at strategic forums when required.

    Project Design and Proposal Development;

    Support the DSW programme team in developing innovative concepts as part of lessons learnt within the project cycle management.
    Lead on the efficient preparation and timely submission of proposals in line with DSW standards including analysis of donor requirements, identification of partners and coordination of technical teams.
    Track progress of proposals submitted.

    Capacity Development and Knowledge Management;

    Identify and address capacity-building needs of staff and partner youth Organisations in resource mobilisation.
    Support the adherence to internal planning and knowledge management tools.
    Coordinate and manage resource mobilisation efforts in close coordination with the DSW Resource Mobilisation Team based at head office level in Germany.

    Requirements and Experience

    A successful candidate must possess a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s degree in: social sciences, development studies, project management or related fields.
    He/she must have at least five (5) years’ professional experience in resource mobilisation and partnership building.
    He/she must have extensive demonstrable experience in project proposal development, networking and management of donor relations. A proven track record in raising income from institutional donors is desired.
    He/she should have experience in programme design in Reproductive Health and Rights, Youth Empowerment and gender related programmes.
    He/she should have excellent writing and public-speaking skills, proven experiences in log frame development and knowledge in budget development.
    Must be proficient in computer applications including Excel.

    General areas of responsibility: The Regional Project Manager Advocacy is responsible for successfully managing cross-country advocacy grants, which focus on advocacy for improved Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for young people.
    She/he will be providing oversight and technical guidance to the budget analysis process and expenditure studies in several locations, and be responsible for sustainably managing a cross-country youth advocacy programme.
    The Regional Project Manager is responsible for the timely implementation of work plans and submission of high standard narrative and financial reports in line with donor requirements.
    He / She will be coordinating the regional team, putting a special focus on maintaining and further developing the strong expertise on health budget analysis and youth advocacy, while further developing the portfolio in line with the DSW strategy.
    Specific Responsibilities:

    Coordinate the project-related work of project management staff in east Africa and supervise the delivery of project results and outputs to the required standard of quality especially on health budget analysis and youth advocacy.
    Work with DSW resource mobilization team to identify interested donors and support proposal development for financial sustainability of the regional work.
    Control of project budget and supervision of costed work plans and reporting, including by collaborating with DSW’s finance team.
    Supervise the Regional Advocacy Officer, Youth Engagement Officer and Regional M&E Officer.
    Ensure timely preparation and submission of donor reports, including by collaborating with DSW’s M& E team.

    Management of Stakeholder relations and engagement – the project works closely with the Directorate of Youth, County Government-department of Health, Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF), National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) in addition to working with the donor and other development partners.
    Lead and oversee partner coordination & communication in the project sites and at national level; participate in stakeholder meetings including the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and Project Steering Committee (PSC) at the national level and undertake periodic internal project reviews and reflections.
    Maintain donor relationships and ensure efficient and effective communication with all the project funders.

    Budget oversight and Management;

    Provide project budget oversight and track activity implementation.

    Monitoring & Evaluation;

    In conjunction with Trigerrise, participate in the development and implementation of a service provider accreditation system and support the continuos assessment of the technical quality and safety of services for continuos improvement of youth empowermnet programmes.
    In Collaboration with Triggerisse, ensure monthly data generation through the platform & analsyis, tracking and feedback and; ensure this information is well captured in DSW monitoring platfforms for use in DSW overall programming.
    Coordinate the generation and documentation of good practises, lessons and actions for lesson learning and knowledge sharing to profile project outcomes with a special focus on youth empowerment.
    Provide technical support and backstopping for the project Monitoring & Evaluation.
    Coordinate internal DSW (cross departments, offices and teams) and external cooperation and interaction in regard to research and knowledge management issues of Youth Empowerment.

    Team supervision & coordination;

    Provide support supervision for project staff.
    Conduct appraisals, performance reviews and implement professional development plans for Project staff.

    Operational responsibilities;

    Collaborate closely with the relevant partners and departments to ensure seamless processes such as accreditation of suppliers/ facilities, procurements, & reimbursements.
    In collaboration with the National department manager represent DSW overall perspectives and interests to external and internal stakeholders.

    General Responsibilities: Based in Uasin Gishu County, the Advocacy Officer is responsible for project implementation, overall coordination and networking for budget & policy advocacy for FP/SRH in target counties.

    Under the direct supervision of the National Team Coordinator, Advocacy, the incumbent will lead mobilisation, coordination & capacity development of youth champions and coordinate DSW Kenya’s participation in county budget making processes.

    Specifically, the officer is responsible for developing and contributing to reports to relevant Managers and senior staff detailing activities, collaborations and best practice.

    Specific Responsibilities: The Advocacy officer will be responsible for the following duties:

    Support the effective and efficient implementation of the programme in accordance with DSW financial procedures and guidelines while assessing progress and providing feedback to the supervisor.
    In consultation with the National Team Coordinator, Advocacy, the officer will contribute to the development and implementation of advocacy strategies and activity plans to promote policy and budget changes in support of FP/SRH at the county and sub-county level.
    Cultivate and strengthen relationships with target county level decision makers, relevant committees and executives to improve the prioritization of FP in county policies, budgets and programmes.
    Build relationships with civil society organisations (CSOs/NGOs), Youth Empowerment Centres and youth clubs and convene a collective and coherent voice in favour of FP/RH advocacy within the target counties.
    Support the development of the county annual family planning budgets and policy reviews.
    Support the monitoring and evaluation component of the programme by regularly completing the programme’s M&E tools in a timely manner.
    Provide high quality field level monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on project progress.
    Identify, design and deliver appropriate capacity building interventions in advocacy to target CSOs and youth champions.
    Support in the development of project proposals, annual work-plans and budgets.
    Maintain DSW visibility at county level by participating in relevant sector meetings and events as appropriate.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Degree in social sciences or related fields from a recognised University.
    At least 3 years of professional experience planning and conducting a wide variety of advocacy and policy initiatives around the priority areas (FP/SRH).
    In depth knowledge of policies and programmes on Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Adolescents and Youth is highly desirable.
    Demonstrated understanding of the devolved county structure, budget cycle and decision making processes is highly preferred.
    Poses strong county based networks and in depth knowledge and understanding of development issues in the target counties.
    Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with ability to develop and communicate advocacy related messages and campaigns to different audiences.

    Scope of Work
    Develop three high quality, creative and clear illustrations suitable for conveying information and representing ideas so they are easily understood by target groups.
    Expected Deliverables

    Work in close consultation with the Communications team at DSW Kenya;
    Work from the DSW Kenya office or own convenient location and submit deliverables through email as requested and on time.
    Be willing to modify, edit, or totally change illustrations as per feedback provided.
    Submit full colour, high resolution and editable versions of illustrations and designs in layered Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PDF documents.

    Required

    Creatively done illustrations that are of the highest artistic quality.

    General Responsibilities:
    The National Team Coordinator- Monitoring, Research & Evaluation will lead design of M & E frameworks, analysis and management of data emanating from all DSW projects, develop base – mid and end line evaluation, support preparation of project reports, support project design, and provide technical assistance to both program staff and in monitoring and evaluating activities and programs. He/She is responsible for the maintenance of all project data in line with donor requirements and other key stakeholders.
    Specific Responsibilities:

    M&E system development, standardization and management
    Overall design and implementation of all monitoring and evaluation processes and procedures.
    Lead the design of efficient and user friendly M&E framework & tools to capture quantitative and qualitative data that would be appropriate for M&E and reporting.
    Working in close collaboration with HO, coordinate the Management of tools and database for M & E.
    Periodically validate in coming data prior to being coded in the M&E system.
    Programme Development and support

    Capacity building of staff and partners
    Support the training of local partners and programme staff on the M&E framework for the projects, which will not be limited to data collection, quality assurance, data management, and report writing.
    Provide day to day technical support to staff and partners should gaps in the M&E processes arise.

    Background: DSW seeks to engage an IT consultant who can help with the maintenance of the organizations software and hardware systems. The consultant is to help the organization with analysing and diagnosing the IT infrastructure, understanding the IT needs and implementing technological solutions.
    Required outputs will be to;

    Provide support for office ICT operations as required.
    New workstation setup and training for users on the systems set up on new workstations
    Local area network (LAN) management and troubleshooting
    Monitoring ICT systems and troubleshoot any incidences affecting service availability
    Liaise with the Head of Administration and service providers for escalations.
    Ensure all users have access to peripheral devices like; – printers and scanners.
    Audits of Laptops software in terms of updates, performance etc.

    Knowledge and Competencies

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer science or any related field
    Comptia A+, N+, an added advantage.
    Excellent knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems.
    Hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
    Good communication skills.
    Flexible person and ready to work at odd hours.
    Team player.
    Works under minimum supervision.
    Ability to multitask.

    Duration: You will be required to offer your services on a need basis. There may be times when your services may be required for an unspecified duration given the task in hand for example if there is system troubleshooting.

    DSW seeks to recruit National Department Manager – Programmes and Projects who is the link between the Country Director dealing with strategic decisions and the operationalization of the strategic goals and objectives at country office level.
    (S)He works in close cooperation with the Country Director and the other National Department Managers to ensure the effective and efficient planning, implementation and evaluation of DSW Kenya’s projects.
    The National Department Manager-Programmes and Projects is part of the Country Office Management Team. The National Department Manager works in close cooperation with the respective HO management staff on the international level, supervises and follows up the day to day working relation with the National Team Coordinators of the programmes and projects department.
    General Areas of Responsibility:
    Organisational development

    Provide strategic programmatic recommendations to the CD regarding departmental inputs to the implementation of the strategic plan objectives.
    Support the CD in staffing decisions.
    Support the CD with the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and procedures.
    Lead and oversee the development & implementation of budgets & annual work plans.
    Support the National Team coordinators in the programmes and projects department in the implementation of departmental or DSW strategies which take place in close collaboration with relevant HO staff

    Management

    Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of programmes and projects of the department and their alignment with the DSW strategic plan indicators.
    Supervise country office Programmes and Project staff; provide direction and leadership;
    Establish and/or maintain relations with implementing partners, other organizations and donors relevant for programme work.
    In collaboration with the National Team Coordinator, lead and support resource mobilisation in accordance with the Strategic Plan and donor guidelines.
    Oversee contract management, donor compliance and reporting.

    Operational responsibilities

    Oversee the mobilisation and capacity strengthening of youth led organisations and networks of Young people to engage with key policy and governance spaces in favour of young people.
    Strengthen, develop and maintain sound relations with policy, research and advocacy specialists at national, regional and international levels.
    Ensure a proper documentation of project work, including best practice, evaluation reports, etc.
    Develop and support implementation of training and coaching programmes.
    Provide technical support for the departments team coordinators.
    Represent DSW overall interests and perspectives towards external and internal stakeholders.
    Develop and implement appropriate tools and other project related guidelines for improved programme implementation, monitoring and impact assessment, in close consultation with the respective HO staff.

    Qualifications
    Appointment to the position will be made from persons who have:

    Master’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University.
    Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized University.
    Have at least eight (8) years working experience in programmes function in an INGO or a large organization of which at least three (3) years must have been at Senior management position.
    Have demonstrated in-depth understanding of Reproductive Health issues and Policy work at national and international levels.
    Have practical experience in proposal development & donor reporting.
