    Specific responsibilities

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Regional WASH Advisor is responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to the Country Director and/or Head of Programme and CC/Thematic Specialists at Country level in ensuring that optimal WASH programme strategies, systems, policy, tools and practices are in place.  The Regional WASH Adviser will also contribute to funding bids from the CC perspective and assist the Country Office in ensuring that donor opportunities are identified, and donor obligations and requirements are met.
    The Regional WASH Adviser will provide a range of advisory support, technical oversight and capacity building to CO staff in relation to their own specialist area of expertise.
    Additionally, they may act within regional CC and thematic team as the lead on a particular cross- cutting area of programme strategy and development.  Staff within the team will be expected to contribute to global development initiatives as part of the wider community of specialists.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for supporting and conducting internal investigations in the region, in coordination with the HO Anti-Corruption and Investigation Specialist, Head of PSEA and Safeguarding, and relevant regional and country office staff. The Regional Investigation Specialist will mainly conduct and advise on administrative, internal investigations into allegations of misconduct, but also on other potential violations of NRC’s rules and regulations as needed. The Regional Investigation Specialist is responsible for providing expert advice and to actively contribute to NRC’s wider learning on fraud and corruption risk reduction specifically, but also on other areas such as on PSEA as advised by the technical line
    Specific responsibilities

    Assess initial reports of possible misconduct in line with NRC guidelines and support to determine if an investigation is necessary.
    When required, travel to carry out high-quality, internal investigations in country offices in the region or other NRC locations, including documentation analysis, interviews of witness’s and subjects of complaints and other investigative actions. Position may require extensive travel to remote areas with limited amenities.
    In consultation with other NRC regional positions, the HO Anti-Corruption and Investigations Specialist, the HO PSEA Unit, and other relevant Head Office staff, coordinate due process and help promote compliance with NRC polices and processes.
    Prepare regular analysis reports for regional management, the HO Anti-Corruption and Investigation Specialist, and the HO Head of PSEA and Safeguarding, outlining trends and highlighting specific issues related to investigations including corruption, and sexual exploitation and abuse in the region.
    Support in tracking all ongoing incidents, cases, and relevant documentation according to NRC standards via case filing system and online case tracking system.

    Previous experience (2 years) in research, analysis, information management, advocacy, or other relevant experience in the humanitarian sector or related fields (development, international relations, social science, etc). Ability and confidence to make judgment calls when interpreting ambiguous data.
    Demonstrated understanding of the principles of emergency preparedness, response and early recovery.
    Demonstrated understanding of needs assessments in humanitarian crisis.
    Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Any other language is an asset, especially Spanish, French, and Arabic.

    Generic professional competencies

    Relevant Master’s degree, preferably in humanitarian action, social sciences (anthropology, sociology, economics, political science, psychology, geography, etc.), area studies, international relations, public health, epidemiology or other relevant education.

    Generic responsibilities

    Implement NRC’s ICT policies and guidelines at country and office level
    Schedule computer related services and maintenance
    Ensure information security for all NRC systems in line with GDPR regulations.
    Provide ICT support and trainings to staff within the Region
    Participate in the procurement processes of ICT equipment

    Specific responsibilities
