    Overview of Role
    The Regional Climate & Environment Adviser will be responsible for leading and coordinating implementation of NRC EAY’s Climate and Environment Strategic Objective and ambitions, with a particular emphasis on strengthening NRC’s response on Climate Adaptation. Through research, piloting and testing, develop new responses that aims to strengthen the resilience of the displacement affected to withstand shocks and stresses related to climate change and environmental degradation.
    Generic Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing strategic advice, technical support and capacity building support to the Country Offices in the region on climate and environment, across Country Offices in the region and the Regional Office.
    Responsible for ensuring that best practices within the climate adaptation are identified, documented and disseminated both within the region and beyond
    Technical supervision of the regional energy adviser providing relevant guidance and follow-up on the clean access to energy components in project development and implementation. 
    Work closely with CC Advisors to ensure all technical guidance, project designs, reports etc take climate and environmental dimensions into account

    Role and responsibilities
    The role of the Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Project Coordinator is to implement the delegated ICLA project portfolio in Dadaab.  The ICLA Project Coordinator has overall responsible for the successful implementation of ICLA projects in Dadaab in compliance with NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.  This includes the day-to-day management of all ICLA staff and through successful utilisation of the Project Cycle Management (PCM) frameworks for the delivery of timely and quality projects. The Project Coordinator will contribute to ICLA strategy development and building ICLA projects in Dadaab through supporting identifying gaps and proposal development. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing strong working relationships to ensure integration with other NRC programmes and with a wide range of external stakeholders to ensure that ICLA projects are being delivered within wider coordination in Dadaab. The ICLA Project Coordinator will identify and carry out relevant capacity building and training opportunities both internally and with external partners.     Ensure proper filling of all types of project document.
    Breakdown the annual operational plans into weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans.

    Specific responsibilities

    Provide technical support in the Design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the NRC livelihood activities in Kakuma & Kalobeyei.
    Undertake or organise assessments in relation to employment and income generation opportunities for refugee and host community youths.
    Explore opportunities for digital livelihoods for youths and create linkages with relevant partner organisations and online platforms in coordination with private sector actors including social enterprises
    Facilitate training of programme participants on agricultural or business enterprises to increase income generation for the participants
    In coordination with other LFS actors in Dadaab continuously identify potential value chains in Dadaab, analyse them and select a few ones that NRC can focus on developing for benefits of youth groups and SMEs in the area.
    Create linkages between SMEs and credit institutions and facilitate agreements on favourable lending and repayment terms.
    Plan, coordinate and work closely with the other core competency teams, particularly Education for skills training activities and ICLA for legal support and civil documentation issues.
    Design and coordinate baseline surveys, market assessments, conduct feasibility studies and Identify Livelihood opportunities in line with Graduation approach model and supervise the smooth start up and running of selected livelihood projects.
    Provide technical direction, leadership and training to the livelihood’s beneficiaries on business planning, income generation, group savings and loans, revolving funds, vocational skills training and strengthening of small-scale businesses for the beneficiaries to enhance their self-reliance.
    Participating in proposals development and budgeting for new projects in accordance with the provided guidelines and standards
    Responsible for overseeing implementation of livelihood project activities in accordance with approved time schedules, budgets.
    Responsible for promoting and facilitating refugee and selected vulnerable host community youths and other vulnerable groups to participate in business planning, VSLA works and other post training activities.
    Represent NRC in Livelihood Sector and working group meetings in the Camps and where relevant in other locations. Liaison with NRC partners (local authorities, others) and other stakeholders (returnees, host community, community leaders, CBOs, NGOs, UN) on food security and other related issues, and sharing information as requested and agreed with the Area Manager.
    Conduct end team and midterm performance appraisal review meetings with LFS Assistants. Ensure timely outcome/output monitoring and post-distribution monitoring (PDM) for all LFS projects. Participate in the area level PCM and other coordination meetings
    Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or designate.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Professional competencies:

    Experience working on Livelihoods or Food Security projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
    Experience in implementing livelihoods activities, especially capacity building or training on agricultural value chains, digital livelihood skills to employment or income generation opportunities, developing business plans, supporting SMEs to grow and assisting refugees or other host community vulnerable groups to access credit and legal documentation
    Previous experience from working in complex and/or protracted displacement situations is desirable
    Experience of carrying out market assessments
    Understanding of market-based livelihoods programming
    Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
    Fluency in English both written and spoken

    Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:

    Bachelor of science degree in agriculture, agricultural sciences, business management or related subject
    At least 3 years’ experience working in livelihoods and food security sector, and on crops and livestock value chains.
    Good practical knowledge on facilitating training for rural households on crop production and poultry husbandry
    Knowledge of the local context is preferable
    Good level of competency in working with social enterprises, online marketing/work platforms is desirable.
    Proven skills and experience in report writing.

    Role and Responsibilities
    The Programme Manager is responsible for coordinating the development, design and implementation of the integrated programmes in the BRCiS Consortium portfolio. The Programme Manager represents the BRCiS at coordination forums and in donor relations, as delegated by the Chief of Party.
    General Responsibilities

    Line management for all project managers and coordinators regarding grants, including the emergency scale ups. .

    Responsible for ensuring programme support to integrated programme, coordination and technical quality in BRCiS Consortium
    Ensures that BRCiS programmes are implemented in a transparent and compliant manner

    Supervises the compliance to donor standards, and grants management and regular reporting to donors for all BRCiS projects

    Specific Responsibilities
    Programme Management 

    Supports the Chief of Party regarding Consortium coordination and communication to donors/government in relation with programme issues.
    Coordinates development and implementation of harmonization and standardization strategies across all grants within the Consortium both for emergencies and longer term resilience projects.
    Follow-up on creation and utilization of systems, tools and mechanisms to reinforce programme quality controls are in place and monitored.
    Leads all new project proposals and coordinates with the members to align to the BRCIS strategy.
    Coordinates reporting for current grants with Consortium Partners and CMU Members Identifies funding opportunities and coordinates proposal development when appropriate.
    Supports the communications and advocacy coordinator to develop and coordinate information sharing mechanisms for main Consortium stakeholders: government counterparts, coordination bodies, Consortium Members, Lead Agency, communities and donors.
    Under the leadership of the resilience advisor, contributes to designing and guiding the Consortium and resilience learning agenda and to enforcing accountability and learning within the members of the Consortium.
    Supports the communications and advocacy coordinator with with advocacy related activities.

    Strategy and Representation

    Supports the Chief of Party in creating and animating a network of Consortium focal points embedded in the partner agencies.
    Supports the Chief of Party in the representation of the Consortium in governments, donors, clusters, coordination meetings as appropriate, nationally, regionally or globally.
    Develops and maintain strong relationships with Somali resilience stakeholders and identify strategic implementation, research and private sector partners that can contribute to BRCiS Consortium portfolio development, influence and impact.

    Under the leadership of the resilience advisor, supports with the creation of a programme quality framework for resilience approaches with tools and processes to measure and monitor adaptive management and Value For Money
    Monitor the adaptive management in the projects and monitor the value for money.
    Contribute to the development of a monitoring, evaluation and learning framework to track progress and results
    Works closely with the M&E Manager and M&E team to build programme capacity to roll-out a shock-based measurement framework that measures changes in resilience capacities linked to well-being indicators

     Professional Competencies

    Applicable degree in international relations, business, economics or related field.
    7 years’ experience in humanitarian/development aid in complex and/or insecure environments, preferably in East/Horn of Africa.
    Excellent report and proposal writing skills in English language. Experience in interpreting data and writing reports to a rigorous technical standard.
    Excellent English language communication skills – negotiation, networking, influencing, public speaking and facilitating workshops at different levels.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The purpose of the Grants Coordinator position is to provide essential grant management support to HoP in delivering quality programmes in line with the NRC COs strategy and PoA for Kenya
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
    Develop and maintain overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, including filing of grant documents (including through the grants database – forthcoming)
    Coordinate the development of donor applications and reports, as well as ensuring donor compliance and quality control.
    Contribute to the development and revision of funding proposals, budgets and donor reports.
    Be updated on donor priorities and track, analyze and share relevant calls for proposals. 
    Document, analyze, and share learning from proposal and reporting process, and compliance with donor rules and regulations.
    Contribute to continuously improving internal grant management systems.
     Provide an internal help-desk on donor related issues, including organize and deliver trainings in donor rules and regulations, as well as proposal and report writing.
    Coordinate the development and distribution of internal reports.

    Support programme team with quality control related to proposal development and reporting, developing dedicating tools and ensuring capacity building through trainings.
