    Job Purpose:
    To be responsible for empowering the community in leading sustainable lives, improving their living standards and to generate income.
    Key Responsibilities and Job Dimensions

    Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision and oversight of sustainable livelihoods program for achievement of program objectives.
    Prepare and share the annual work plan and operational plans for all components of the program.
    Ensure activities are conducted in a timely manner, under a specified quality, and within scope.
    Ensure all program staff understand goals and objectives and their individual responsibilities.
    Identify capacity gaps and opportunities to strengthen the different components of the program in liaison with the Chief programs officer.
    Assist with the recruitment, hiring and on boarding of program staff and conduct quarterly staff performance appraisal.
    Manage program resources by preparing budgets and tracking use against approved budgets and ensuring compliance.
    Keep track of program activity plans and implementation schedules to ensure quality of activities and timely achievement of outputs.
    Oversee different trainings – Entrepreneurship, Employability, SWEP skill upgrades and also the mentorship of beneficiary business owners.
    Support the management and mentorship of program staff, gradually building skills and capacities.
    Prepare and submit monthly update reports on the projects with the program.
    Facilitate the development and preparation of training materials on Entrepreneurship as appropriate (handouts, curricular, presentations, manuals etc.) and update existing materials in line with new recommendations and guidelines and facilitate trainings for program beneficiaries on entrepreneurship
    Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the program- the M&E department.
    Work with other programs to reach, identify, recruit and train community members in entrepreneurship.
    Oversee recruitments, training and placements of Employability students and Entrepreneurship Training Beneficiaries.
    Establish proper data collection methods for program activities and regularly review and analyse targets.
    Undertake documentation of good practices and lessons learned and ensure incorporation in improved processes.
    Develop and build partnerships in support of effective implementation of program components like job/internship placements for employability and SWEP.
    Identify and document program success stories and other narratives to enhance quality of donor visits and donor reports.
    Organize and facilitate program events such as workshops and employability training graduations.
    Coordinate the running of SWEP production unit, ensuring growth and continuous skills upgrading, increased production, sales and increased membership.
    Revise and update all training curricula.

    We’re seeking a resourceful and dedicated Executive Assistant to work with our CEO, Kennedy Odede, to provide administrative, logistical support and project management assistance. The Executive Assistant plays an instrumental role in the CEO office, handling a broad range of responsibilities and activities to maximize the CEO’s time and effectiveness.
    Your responsibilities will include handling all scheduling, domestic and international travel logistics, meeting preparation including daily briefings, meeting follow-up, and internal meeting representation.     Roles and responsibilities

    Balancing internal and external scheduling demands and requests while maintaining a focus on and alignment to strategic goals and priorities.
    Managing a schedule that is sustainable in pace and scope, often shifts, and takes into account unforeseen obligations and variables.
    Arrange complex and detailed travel plans, determining travel needs for all upcoming trips, and arranging flight and accommodation bookings as well as on the ground logistics within parameters for cost and convenience.
    Provide administrative support by arranging meetings with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring plans, and keeping on top of scheduling logistical priorities.
    Anticipating and responding to the CEO’s needs relative to upcoming meetings and events; coordinating and managing appropriate resources; and ensuring follow up is completed for each and every meeting.
    Diligently managing, tracking, and prioritizing the CEO’s email; drafting, writing, editing, and proofing emails and correspondences–managing the flow of the CEO’s inbox. Lead on reactive and proactive email communications.
    Participating in and preparing the CEO for development meetings; coordinating and communicating with Advancement team members; tracking and capturing all of the CEO’s fundraising activities in Salesforce.

    Position Overview
    To strengthen its Senior Management team, SHOFCO is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, results driven, entrepreneurial and highly motivated individual with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to fill the position of Chief Program Officer. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CPO will be responsible for leading and managing SHOFCO’s wide array of services and programs that include education, health, gender empowerment and WASH.     Responsibilities

    Lead overall strategic planning process and ongoing implementation of strategic plan, in collaboration with President/CEO and SHOFCO Leadership Team.
    Provide effective leadership and stewardship to advance SHOFCO’s strategic objectives and growth aspirations.
    Ensure that all program activities operate in alignment with the organization’s strategy, values, and performance standards.
    Prepare an annual operational budget to the CEO and CFO for review and approval, manage effectively within this budget, and ensure sound fiscal management.
    Lead and manage a high-performing team of program directors and managers. Create ongoing opportunities for development and growth of staff at all levels. Promote a culture of accountability and creativity.
    Partner with the CEO to build strategic relationships with a network of public and private sector actors including the national government, UN agencies, and bi-lateral and multi-lateral agencies, corporates, and peer NGOs/implementing partners.     Qualifications

    Advanced Degree in International Development or related field with knowledge and experience of working with underserved groups.
    At least 10 years’ experience, with 5 years in a senior management role leading complex operations and significant budgets in a global / developing world context, with evidence of producing results.
    Proficiency in Swahili and fluency in English is required.
