    Job Description

    To Deliver the highest standards of customer service/support.
    A strong understanding of how a pharma business operates and procedures involved.
    Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the secondary sales.
    Build and promote focus products to increase the market share, profitability and to build a long-lasting customer relationship.
    To implement the business plan set by the line manager and continuously improve the assigned territory performance.
    Proper utilization of Promotional materials & samples as provided by the company.
    Book secondary orders and ensure delivery through consistent follow-up with the secondary customers. 
    Monitor customer’s inventory & plan a liquidation plan for slow moving products.
    Follow up with distributors for order delivery, payment collection & stock & sales statement collection. 
    Identify competitors’ activity, information on new product introductions.
    Timely submission of Field work reporting, close monitoring on competitors’ activity & updating HOD. 
    Ensure to drive the sales process from plan to close.

    Desirable Competencies

    Successful 1-2 years’ experience as a medical representative.
    A Bachelor of Science degree.
    Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information to customers.
    Basic knowledge of Pharma products.
    Ability to work and deliver under pressure and with minimum supervision.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    As a Brand / Therapy Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams including product development, marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs to ensure successful product launches and sustained market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for assigned therapy; Over the Counter (OTC) / Diabetes / Pain Management / Cough & Cold / Anti-infectives etc., including product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.
    Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements.
    Lead the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and in-store promotions.
    Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and identify areas for improvement.
    Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders and collect key insights during field work with sales team (Minimum 7 Days/Month across countries of operations (SSA).
    Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards for assigned portfolio responsibility.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or related field; B. Pharma (Preferred) MBA (preferred)
    At least 3 years of experience in brand management
    Therapy exposure to any or more of Over the Counter (OTC) medications, Diabetes, Pain management, Cough & Cold & Anti-infectives
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and adapt to organizational priorities.
    Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry in Africa, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
    Excellent communication skills and creativity

    Regulatory Affairs duties

    To initiate, monitor and implement the cycle of product registration with various regulatory authorities ie New registrations, request for additional information, variations/amendment, renewals, retentions etc.
    Ensuring compliance with regulations set by the Regulatory Authorities.
    Coordinate timely response to Regulatory Authorities’ queries in liaison with the relevant departments.               
    Liaising, negotiating and maintaining correspondence with regulatory authorities.
    Maintaining an up-to-date register of status of product registrations in the different countries.
    Timely submission of monthly / quarterly / review reports for Regulatory affairs activities.
    Implementation and coordination of Regulatory Affairs Projects.
    Participating in external audits/inspections by various approving authorities.
    Review and approval of product artworks.
    Advise and participate in any quality management system reviews that may be necessary from regulatory guidelines.
    Coordinate product registration / submission of dossiers for affiliate and partnering companies to various territories within the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) & French West Africa (FWA) regions.
    Provide Regulatory & Pharmacovigilance Intelligence in various countries within the SSA, FWA, EA & AWA regions, to Aspen Group and internally as applicable.
    Any other duties as allocated by Management.

     Desired Profile

    Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (Registered with pharmacy and Poisons board, Kenya)
    Experience: +2 years
    Good knowledge of Microsoft office and databases
