    Purpose of Role
    The role of our Talent Engagement Managers is to bring our employer brand and employee value proposition to life by expressing our purpose, values, and ambitions by connecting talent with what makes our culture special. 
    The Talent Engagement Manager role is highly visible to a large cross section of key and senior stakeholders, many of which will be in critical leadership roles that have a significant impact on the organisation’s ability to achieve key business outcomes and the overall Performance Ambition. The Talent Engagement Manager will be an expert in the resourcing, hiring, and talent planning process and will be a coach and mentor to these key stakeholders.
    Top Accountabilities

    Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles across Kenya & Uganda
    Support and maintain/improve the diversity progressive agenda at Diageo with regards to equity and female hires, including people with disability
    Manage onboarding experience for new hires, in partnership with relevant stakeholders
    Dotted-line management of Shared Service employees regarding talent engagement admin
    Partner with functional HRBPs/HRD to draft annual Resourcing Plan
    Partner with functional HRBPs to determine critical, senior, and hard-to-fill (HTF) roles for pipelining purposes.
    Engage external top talent as successors for identified critical, senior, and HTF roles
    Implement best-practice entry-level programmes for Commercial and Supply female external talent
    Manage Mystery Applicant feedback by candidates and internal stakeholders
    Champion the Employer Brand (EVP) agenda across Kenya & Uganda. EVP activities should comply with the Global standard
    Work with Global EVP team to initiate and execute EVP projects through social media platforms
    Manage the recruitment budget on an annual basis. This includes agency fees, EVP activities, background check costs, and all other relevant talent engagement expenses
    Raise and manage purchase orders within the talent engagement remit
    Adhere to all compliance requirements within the talent engagement and broader HR space. This includes but not limited to: Role time-to-fill (TTF), necessary background checks completed per candidate, and adherence to all external communication requirements
    Participate in the Inclusion and Diversity project launched globally, with management of the talent representation pillar as specified locally
    Draft and present offers to successful internal and external candidates
    Draft and annual updates of policies that are relevant to talent engagement and/or the broader HR function
    External agency relationship management and budget adherence
    Reviewing external providers’ SLAs on an annual basis
    Coaching, training, and supporting line managers in the application of talent engagement tools/updates

    Qualifications and Experience Required
    Qualifications

    University/tertiary degree

    Experience

    4-7 years’ experience in recruitment, talent management, or talent acquisition
    Track record of EVP activities implemented, and social media presence
    FMCG experience preferable
    Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability to fill vacancies timeously, cross-functional stakeholder management, and compliance.

    About the Role
    You will work as part of the Brand Change & Innovation team within Diageo’s Global Technical function who provide brand change leadership for Global Spirits, Mainstream Spirits, Beer and Non-alcoholic Beverages. The team brings together a wide range of complementary expertise and skills across the globe and are the centre of excellence for brand change, leading project delivery from concept to commercialisation across brewing and distillation, driving efficiencies and process agility.
    The main function of this role is in a project management capacity to drive innovation projects so that they have a smooth transition from kick-off, through the gate stages, commercialisation activities and to a successful launch in terms of cost, quality and time. Underpinning this role, will be the requirement to behave as an ambassador for global brand change and innovation standards and governance principles. This role will work alongside in-market brand change managers and the Head of Mainstream Spirits Supply Manager to ensure perfect project delivery for global strategic brands and local gem brands, within the Mainstream spirit and Ready-to-drink categories across Africa. The scale of these categories are such, that they typically deliver £15-20m NSV of Innovation project annually. On certain strategic projects, there may be a requirement to take on the Supply Project Management role and coordinate all the supply activities related to that project.
     
     A secondary function of the role is working with Global Procurement to identify target low cost neutral spirit suppliers locally and support the technical qualification of these suppliers with the relevant technical centre, incorporating supplier evaluation, brand evaluation, technical specifications, evaluation methodology and ongoing governance.
    It is critical that the incumbent can navigate the matrix organisation, lead through others, build strong relationships and influence within all levels of the business. The position will work closely with local market brand change teams, the Africa innovation team, global procurement team and local market supply teams across the African markets.
    About you
    We’re looking for an individual with a drive to be the best: a clear thinker and communicator with good analytical and planning skills, agility to their approach to work and the ability to work with cross functional teams to deliver projects.

    The Decision support manager-Tax services is a senior business partner to commercial, Supply Chain, back office services and a liaison officer with the revenue authorities and other stakeholders. This position is a core member of Kenya Finance leadership team.
    This role is required to interact with and manage inputs and outputs of numerous people across a matrix organization within EABL group and Diageo as well as maximize tax efficiency and effectiveness in the following areas: manufacturing, agribusiness, centralised Centres of Excellence (Tax, Plan, Source, Move) and centralised Shared Service Centres.
    Market Complexity
    There are three manufacturing sites in Kenya; Tusker, Kisumu and UDV with over six million EUs production capacity and a vibrant agribusiness arm East Africa Maltings Ltd with over 40,000 contracted farmers for cereals. There are over 100 brands and SKU’s for beer, ANADS, spirits across all categories with multiplexities of tax rules and legislation. Tusker is also the single largest manufacturing site in Diageo.
    Purpose of Role

    To partner with Kenya breweries Ltd executive Leadership to drive business performance through end to end strategic and tactical management of all direct and indirect taxes.
    To lead tax compliance checks agenda and service delivery by shared services and centres of excellence.
    To Leverage global finance processes, COE teams, standard, systems, and data to drive efficiency and effectiveness & Identify improvement areas for tax processes through data and insights. 
    To oversee a robust governance and control environment with an effective risk management structure and to ensure that all governance, controls, and compliance requirements are in place and operating.                                                                    

    Accountabilities

    Own and develop annual priorities in line with business strategy.

    Oversee tax operations in areas of compliance, cash management, tax provisioning and audits.
    Actively engage in financial reporting processes and advise on the impact of transactions.
    Review sales and legal agreements to ensure tax requirements are met.
    Actively advise management on the tax position and related developments
    Ensure indirect and direct tax compliance with all reporting and payment deadlines with all local tax authorities (including ensuring timely refund of tax debt owed by tax authorities)
    Manage proactively all audits by tax authorities across all taxes.
    Review the Group transfer pricing policy and develop it as required to meet local and global tax authority standards.
    Ensure transactions are correctly documented on an arms-length basis consistent with tax requirements imposed by revenue authorities.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    Qualified Professional Accountant- CPA(K)/ACCA/ACMA
    Business related Degree.
    Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance and tax, with 5+ years in pure tax capacity, preferably in a FMCG

    Market/Role  Complexity
    The Diageo market in Africa contributes 13% of Diageo’s NSV and boosts the leading growth statistics in the world. There are 8 different companies stretched on the continent with Nigeria and South Africa as the biggest. Over 1,400 SKus managed in 38 warehouses and over 79 transporters. Apart from SA, most transport and warehousing activities are manual and for the automation, and not interfaced with SAP. Tracking tools for trucks are owned and operated by 3PL and not Diageo, Transport rates are pre-negotiated, and changes attract high penalties.
    About the role:
    This role is to manage warehousing operations across Africa providing a service of executing operations, partnering with warehouse providers and adding value to each market in the region. The outcomes of this CoE are measured in: Cost Efficiency, Service and Collaborative and value creating relationships. He/she will also need to engage and partner with key Diageo Supply Partners (3PL’s, GDBS, resourcing partners etc.) as well as other external suppliers

    Deliver warehousing strategies and operations that are fit for purpose to support market requirements.
    Manage warehousing spend to be within budget and delivering operational savings.
    Lead and motivate the team to deliver the CoE requirements including influencing those non direct reports.
    Provide expert warehousing input understanding African dynamics to ensure credibility of CoE and optimisation initiatives.
    Develop a synergistic relationship with PLAN and SOURCE CoE and MAKE in market to ensure delivery of overall supply excellence

    About you:

    Minimum 5 years’ experience as a warehouse manager in a manufacturing company managing multiple sites including bonds in different countries.
    Minimum 2 years’ experience of warehouse management including external 3PL warehouses in Africa.
    Demonstrable ability to engage and align stakeholders behind plans and win support for implementing change within the warehouse environment.
    BSc or MSc in a supply chain related subject.
    Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority.
