    Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

    Operate all utilities on site for example, Boilers, Air Compressors, Diesel Generator, Chilling plants and water pumps.
    Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance of all utility machines.
    Maintain adequate stocks of all consumables for all utility machines.
    Maintain logbook of maintenance service and regulatory inspections of utility machines, pressure vessels and Hoists.
    Ensure machine rooms are always clean.
    Maintain daily consumption record of all machine consumables,
    Cary out routine inspections of all utility plants.
    Ensure all safety risks are mitigated in all utility lines and promptly report any deviation.

    Minimum Requirements

    A Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering.
    A certified Boiler operator and technician certificate in an added advantage.
    At least two (2) years’ experience in a production setting in a similar organisation.
    Working technical knowledge on basic machine operations and maintenance is an added advantage.
    Practical experience in use of MS packages.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

    Perform the adjustments and setting of the assigned machine to ensure quality output at their station and reduction of product wastage while upholding safety and product quality standards.
    Prepare all necessary tools, equipment and materials required for the assigned machine in compliance with the approved processes and procedures. 
    Operate the assigned machine in accordance with the operating procedures to ensure proper operation of the machine and safe working environment. 
    Inspect inputs and outputs for quality to identify causes of defects and rectify to ensure product quality and minimise wastage. 
    Comply with all applicable quality, safety, health and environmental standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, HACCP, Organic, ISO 17025, SANS 1841) where applicable 
    Carry out minor/routine maintenance of the respective machine, ensure that cleaning is done before and after every production run, and comply with plant/equipment scheduled maintenance. 
    Liaise with maintenance for major breakdown and to ensure that the machines are serviced on time and routinely to reduce plant down time.
    Participate in the actual change over process to ensure the product quality is upheld in the next shift.
    Prepare and submit reports to the Line Controller of downtime and the product quality index at their station with the aim of driving enhanced performance.
    Inspect the quality of dry goods to ensure conformance to the established standards for a high quality product index.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities 
    Area 1: Utilities Maintenance

    Provide Leadership and Direct supervision to Utilities Machines Operators and Site Workers.
    Coordinating Contractor Work on Site (Utilities, Fixtures Effluent Treatment Plant).
    Supervise inspections, test-firing of redundant Equipment, cleaning of reservoirs, maintenance of all utility equipment, and their distribution systems while Ensuring Autonomous Maintenance is done on all Utility Equipment and systems.
    Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements, as pertains to site Utilities and Engineering services.
    Advise on the feasibility of Utility projects, alternative options, duration and cost of the projects to the relevant Heads of Department/ Division.
    Evaluate utility maintenance contracts to ensure the anticipated value of the contracts are achieved within the approved cost. 
    Perform accurate machine audits on machines used on site to determine their condition and correct all identified gaps
    Make decisions in consultation with Production Teams to support production schedules & work prioritization.
    Manage call-offs and monitoring stock levels of utilities consumables required to ensure continuous operations of all utilities
    Ensure proper receipt and verification of all Utility Consumables.
    Lead Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving initiatives within the utility environment and ensure the Corrective/Preventive actions and implemented

    Area 2: Site/Facility Maintenance

    E2 responsibilities

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

    Manage Bulk ENA receipt/offloading/storage in reference to defined specifications and food safety requirements
    Monitor and manage stocking levels to mitigate against storage losses

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities
    Area 1: Undertake preventive maintenance

     Perform all mechanical repairs as required to ensure the plant is operating optimally.
     Record and provide feedback on the causes and corrective action for all breakdown including analysing and interpreting the breakdown trends and history.
     Ensure that all specified preventive maintenance tasks are performed, including cleaning, inspections, lubrication and scheduled maintenance.
     Give feedback regarding the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program in order to improve the effectiveness.
     Conduct regular (scheduled and un-scheduled) inspection of all equipment and initiate work orders if necessary.
     Participate in maintenance planning and provide feedback on maintenance performed in order to drive the development of effective Maintenance systems.
     Assist with upgrading of plant by mechanical parts, drawing machine parts and preparing reference files and documentation of machine manuals.
     Co-ordinate and perform repairs within level of competencies and assist with complex repairs in adherence to the trigger system regarding breakdown maintenance.
     Monitor equipment / process quality performance, availability, reliability and document downtime events, in detailed engineering reports
     Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, work instruction and SOPs at all times including risk, health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.

    Area 2: Health & Safety

     Identify, communicate all risks and implement measures to prevent injuries and ensure the health and safety of employees by conducting hazard analysis on an on-going basis.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities
    Area 1 – New Product Development

    Management of Intrinsic NPD functional unit in alignment with KWAL Strategy to deliver and contribute to sustainable growth through execution of world-class intrinsic development and sensory insight-led solutions
    Manage annual NPD OPEX and CAPEX budget requirements as well as maintenance schedules

    Compile & present reports for EXCO, month-end reporting and business planning/strategy planning
    Define NPD KPI’s and address NPD team hurdles to ensure execution of NPD KPI’s OTIF
