    About The Role
    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Liaising with science teaching staff on their needs for practical work and maintain an efficient system for the use and allocation of materials and equipment, setting a priority system where necessary.
    Advising science teaching staff on technical components of the curriculum.
    Assisting science teaching staff with demonstrations.
    Assisting science teaching staff in instructing students on the use/care of equipment.
    Advising and assist science teaching staff in safety matters relating to the science laboratory.
    Demonstrating laboratory techniques to science teaching staff/students.
    Setting out equipment and materials for the classroom/department.
    Using clear classroom demonstrations.
    Maintaining a safe chemical storage/handling/disposal system in accordance with current regulations.
    Assisting with the security of the science laboratory and equipment.
    Maintaining an inventory of equipment and annual stocktaking.
    Keeping a record of the consumables used regularly and maintain adequate supplies of them (including chemicals).
    Acquiring relevant catalogs and price lists.
    Ordering equipment and chemicals in consultation with the manager.
    Assisting with labeling, storage, stock-taking and ordering of equipment and chemicals.
    Servicing and clean simple laboratory apparatus/equipment.
    Developing maintenance procedures for laboratory equipment and organize maintenance where required.
    Reporting damages to equipment and arrange repairs.
    Conducting safety audits for the laboratories.
    Evaluating and selecting equipment, and make recommendations for purchase to Science Coordinator.

    About You
    Skills and Qualifications required:

    Diploma or certificate in Science Laboratory Technology in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized institution.
    You possess 1-3 years of working experience in a recognized secondary school or equivalent institution.
    You are able to prepare students’ practical work up to 8-4-4 level with minimum supervision.
    You are flexible and open to change – you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.

    About The Role
    You will:

    Schedule meetings for the School Principal in line with their diary
    Facilitate the public relations function of the front office

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Work with the School Principal to set the pedagogical vision of the school that is consistent with the Nova Instructional Model
    Articulate professional growth paths for teachers that are consistent with the Nova Model.
    Lead instructional sessions for parents such as during Open Days and Academic days.
    Coordinate the exposure of students in outside school academic events such as symposiums (Internal and external).
    Create a robust term schedule for all classes including the support session outside the MOE lesson guide. I.e Saturday academy and Evening program.
    Collaboratively engage the parent Body on key academic programs by sharing analysis and being part of any PTA-related meeting from time to time.
    Coordinate the compliance on Lesson attendance aligned to schedules shared for accountability purposes. Use of TLAR.

    Coordinate the registration of candidates for KCSE. Including document collection and the KNEC Portal set-up.

    Give academic reports and updates during PTA meetings.
    Oversee planning, execution and analysis of intervention programs targeted at needs of diverse academic subgroups, whether remedial or enrichment.
    Coach teachers through extensive observation. and feedback
    Lead in school walkthroughs and give feedback.
    Supervise all professional development routines and activities across the school.
    Include preparation of the PD arc for the school.
    Lead teacher professional development programs at the school.
    Facilitate collaboration among teachers within/across grade levels and subject areas.
    Work with the School Principal to articulate a compelling short- and long-term vision for the development of the school’s culture and program.
    Collect, analyze, share and interpret internal and external school assessment data and ensure that data is used strategically to improve student academic performance.
    Set and model a consistent tone of highest expectations, joy, and growth mindset.
    Lead key school rituals as needed to model and ingrain culture
    Quickly identify and respond to classroom/school culture or behavior issues
    Liaise with Learning Design to ensure shared understanding of the curriculum, lesson design and timely delivery of lesson plans
    Appoint and support subject chairs who will work with LD
    Serve as hiring manager for all instructional staff hires
    Support teammates in setting their contributions on growth maps. Be in charge of growth map checkpoints and validations for the academic teams

    Collect, analyze, share and interpret internal and external school assessment data and ensure that data is used strategically to improve student academic performance.
    Have focused attention to growth and hold learners accountable through the teachers at the subject level.
    Oversee planning, execution and analysis of intervention programs targeted at needs of diverse academic subgroups, whether remedial or enrichment.
    Lead parent/family education on Nova Pioneer instructional programmes
    Coordinate with regulatory bodies to monitor compliance in curriculum development and and assessment. (KNEC) implementation.
    Benchmark with peer institutions to identify gaps and provide interventions for improving administrative processes as well as instructional models.
    Aid the coordination/engagement of the school with other schools on common benchmarks such as Exams, Set book debate as deemed appropriate.

    About You
    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a TSC certificate
    You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and you are TSC certified
    A Masters in education/education management is desirable
    You have 4+ years of experience in a rigorous, high-expectations school setting including at least one instructional leadership role (e.g., department chair, grade level lead, teacher coach, etc.)
    You have rich and vast experience in school administration
    You are widely recognized as a highly effective teacher and can model what great, inquiry-based teaching looks like

    Ensure proper set up of school programs and support teachers in managing learning programs: Example:mRAZ Kids, Exploration Tech, Mathletics, etc. 
    Working with the Dean Development Lead to lead the schools generation of all learners’ report card pdfs test versions and sharing with concerned teachers to enable them resolve any gaps before they are published to families at the end of each term. 
    Support academic teams with Tech needs for school events – parent, student and teacher events (Microphone, PA system, etc.)

    You have a diploma/degree in an IT-related field

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Working closely with the Dean of Students, the Dean of Residential Life and the School Counselor to plan for and deliver student resilience and wellbeing services.
    To be the Chairperson of the Chaplain’s Committee, which comprises parents, representation from the school’s Management and the Chaplaincy, for purposes of planning the religious services for each school term.

    We are looking for an outstanding educator to serve as Dean of Instruction and Learning and lead professional development for teachers at one of Nova Pioneer’s schools in Kenya. This is an opportunity to help create a transformative school model with the future of Africa’s youth at stake.
    As a Dean of Instruction of Learning, serving on the school leadership team, you will help the Principal establish an extremely strong and vibrant school culture consistent with Nova Pioneer’s core culture principles. However, your primary focus is teacher development. Drawing on support from instructional leaders on Nova Pioneer’s network team, you will create a professional development “machine” inside the school: deliberate practice routines and management habits that stretch teachers professionally and give them higher quality, more intensive coaching than they can get anywhere else. You will build a pipeline of homegrown local teacher talent inside the school that produces master teachers and great instructional leaders over time.
    You will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional 21st Century learning experience for our students.

    About The Role

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Work with the School Principal to set the pedagogical vision of the school that is consistent with the Nova Instructional Model
    Articulate professional growth paths for teachers that are consistent with the Nova Model.
    Lead instructional sessions for parents such as during Open Days and Academic days.
    Coordinate the exposure of students in outside school academic events such as symposiums (Internal and external).
    Create a robust term schedule for all classes including the support session outside the MOE lesson guide. I.e Saturday academy and Evening program.
    Collaboratively engage the parent Body on key academic programs by sharing analysis and being part of any PTA-related meeting from time to time.
    Coordinate the compliance on Lesson attendance aligned to schedules shared for accountability purposes. Use of TLAR.
    Coordinate academic consultation and flag any demeaned performance at the student level with their parents/Guardians.
    Set up new parents Edana Portals for their Child data visibility.
    Coordinate the registration of candidates for KCSE. Including document collection and the KNEC Portal set-up.
    Organize and coordinate all academic meetings with parents and other stakeholders.
    Give academic reports and updates during PTA meetings.
    Oversee planning, execution and analysis of intervention programs targeted at needs of diverse academic subgroups, whether remedial or enrichment.
    Coach teachers through extensive observation. and feedback
    Lead in school walkthroughs and give feedback.
    Supervise all professional development routines and activities across the school.
    Include preparation of the PD arc for the school.
    Lead teacher professional development programs at the school.
    Facilitate collaboration among teachers within/across grade levels and subject areas.
    Work with the School Principal to articulate a compelling short- and long-term vision for the development of the school’s culture and program.
    Collect, analyze, share and interpret internal and external school assessment data and ensure that data is used strategically to improve student academic performance.
    Set and model a consistent tone of highest expectations, joy, and growth mindset.
    Lead key school rituals as needed to model and ingrain culture
    Quickly identify and respond to classroom/school culture or behavior issues
    Liaise with Learning Design to ensure shared understanding of the curriculum, lesson design and timely delivery of lesson plans
    Appoint and support subject chairs who will work with LD
    Serve as hiring manager for all instructional staff hires
    Support teammates in setting their contributions on growth maps. Be in charge of growth map checkpoints and validations for the academic teams
    Support the Principal in his or her own professional development—particularly as relates to instructional leadership
    Collect, analyze, share and interpret internal and external school assessment data and ensure that data is used strategically to improve student academic performance.
    Have focused attention to growth and hold learners accountable through the teachers at the subject level.
    Oversee planning, execution and analysis of intervention programs targeted at needs of diverse academic subgroups, whether remedial or enrichment.
    Lead parent/family education on Nova Pioneer instructional programmes
    Coordinate with regulatory bodies to monitor compliance in curriculum development and and assessment. (KNEC) implementation.
    Benchmark with peer institutions to identify gaps and provide interventions for improving administrative processes as well as instructional models.
    Aid the coordination/engagement of the school with other schools on common benchmarks such as Exams, Set book debate as deemed appropriate.

    About You

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a TSC certificate
    You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and you are TSC certified
    A Masters in education/education management is desirable
    You have 4+ years of experience in a rigorous, high-expectations school setting including at least one instructional leadership role (e.g., department chair, grade level lead, teacher coach, etc.)
    You have rich and vast experience in school administration
    You are widely recognized as a highly effective teacher and can model what great, inquiry-based teaching looks like
    You have a track record of improving other people’s performance through coaching and build uncommonly strong relationships
    You have an exceptional ability to think strategically and yet you sweat the small stuff—people see you as unusually detail-oriented and conscientious
    You are driven by data and know how to use data from student assessments to strengthen and differentiate student learning
    You are excited about our organizational culture—and in particular, you are fired up to challenge yourself by embracing mutual vulnerability and a firehose of feedback

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Help and train our young patrons to locate and effectively use books within the library.
    Create and constantly keep an up to date library policy.
    Curating and maintaining the library’s online content.
    Classifying and shelving of books in the library.
    Registering and keeping an up to date record of library patrons.
    Maintain the school’s Integrated Library System.
    Responsible for daily circulation of library items,
    Working with the school’s community to acquire selected and relevant materials for the library
    Cataloging new materials.
    Assisting library patrons in utilizing the library’s E-books, Audio books and Audio-Visuals.
    Ensuring that library books are in proper condition and are replaced in case of loss or damage.
    Managing enquires over the counter, via emails or telephone.
    Working with publishers and vendors to ensure the library has an up to date catalog of books.
    Help prepare the library’s budget and manage payments of fines for damages or loss.
    Ensure smooth running of the library’s other day-to-day activities in the library.
    Work with the PTA, school teams and the students in organizing engaging library events. 
    Prepare and submit library reports and inventory when requested.
    Any other duties as requested.

    ABOUT YOU

    Skills and Qualifications required:

     Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in (Library and Information Science/Library Science/Records Management)
    A minimum of 1 year experience in a busy library
    Experience in developing and managing a school library from scratch is highly desirable
    Must be computer savvy and familiar with Google-suite platforms
    Must have the knowledge to work with databases and Integrated Library Systems.
    Must be aware of current trends in library services for children and young adults. 
    Must be approachable and have outstanding interpersonal skills.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Tech Asset Management and Team Professional Development

    Managing the check in and out process of all students and staff laptops and maintain an accurate inventory record of the school equipment
    Managing and tracking the IT/Tech assets while ensuring safe storage. 
    Keeping an up to date inventory of the IT/Tech assets.
    Conducting teacher PD on tech assets termly.
    Ensure all teachers sign the asset management document and ensure safe storage of the paperwork.
    Collect classroom tech assets from class teachers at the end of every term. 
    Attending teacher PD on a regular basis. 
    Creating and running professional development experiences for teammates on tech. 
    Run tech capacity building training sessions for different functions at the school (academic and non-academic) at least termly to enhance their job productivity. 

    Tech Maintenance and Troubleshooting

    Ensuring the functionality of student and staff laptops by carrying out regular preventative maintenance, basic repairs and software configuration such as Microsoft Office, OS updates, etc. If the nature of a repair is outside of the tech coordinator’s ability to repair, the tech coordinator will be responsible for liaising with an outside repair service to ensure the device is repaired. 
    Performing weekly maintenance and set up checks of all centrally used tech resources in the school such as, but not limited to, laptops, extension cables, projectors, computer labs (if applicable), tablets in the RAZ Room (if applicable) and Library (if applicable) to ensure they are in perfect working condition. 
    Receiving technicians from contract service providers as needed to carry out maintenance or repair tasks.
    Ensuring all classrooms are set up with functional classroom projectors, speakers and HDMI cables. 
    Troubleshooting the classroom projectors, speakers, HDMI failures. Ensuring any such issues are resolved proactively and to constantly keep the affected stakeholders updated on the issues and progress made in resolving them.  
    Troubleshooting all internet issues. Ensuring any such issues are resolved proactively and to constantly keep the affected stakeholders updated on the issues and progress made in resolving them.  
    Troubleshooting all printer issues. Ensuring any such issues are resolved proactively and to constantly keep the affected stakeholders updated on the issues and progress made in resolving them.  
    Troubleshooting all schools support tickets. Ensuring any such issues are resolved proactively and to constantly keep the affected stakeholders updated on the issues and progress made in resolving them.  

    Supporting Academics and Learning Programs 

    Supporting teachers in running heavy computer/technology aided lessons.
    Running one computer based club or coordinating and liaising with vendors of tech-related clubs (Little Einsteins, Coding & innovation clubs)
    Conduct innovative sessions, potential sessions HTML/CSS and game development.
    Ensuring proper setup or software and hardware and helping facilitate all schools online testing platforms. Ex: NWEA, MAP
    Ensure proper set up of school programs and support teachers in managing learning programs: Example:mRAZ Kids, Exploration Tech, Mathletics, etc. 
    Working with the Dean Development Lead to lead the schools generation of all learners’ report card pdfs test versions and sharing with concerned teachers to enable them resolve any gaps before they are published to families at the end of each term. 
    Support academic teams with Tech needs for school events – parent, student and teacher events (Microphone, PA system, etc.)

    ABOUT YOU

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a diploma/degree in an IT-related field 
    You have a minimum of 2 years of technical experience, experience in IT support is an added advantage.
    Experience working in a school will be an added advantage and highly desirable
    You have a passion for a career in technology
    You have proficient knowledge in computer networks and can troubleshoot network related issues
    You are able to demonstrate competence and comfort with PC/Linux/Mac based computer systems.
