    Facilitate the Public Relations function of the front office including communication(school emails and classdojo).

    About You
    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Office Administration and possess HR knowledge and skills, Operations management is desired but not required.
    You have 2-3 years in Front Office Management, preferably of an established startup, large company or a school
    You are experienced or open to learning the Google software suite (Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, G Mail, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Work with the Dean of Residential Life to create a vision for the swimming program and invest stakeholders in the vision. 
    Oversee the in-house and regional swimming relationships and ensure the school is scheduled for all competitions. 
    Create new and support existing partnering by reaching out to schools and other relevant places to seek friendlies and other joint events.
    Ensure  appropriate  preparation and management of all competitions and matches.  
    Develop a strong school team to represent the school in competitions.
    Develop a training program for all the training sessions in accordance with the school guidelines.
    Coach and instruct swimmers individually or as a group regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
    Work with the Dean of Residential Life to procure all needed swimming equipment. 
    Ensure attendance is taken at the beginning and the end of the training sessions.
    Hold coaching sessions with swimmers throughout the academic day and residential evening.
    Ability to coach multiple sports ( could include sports such as: basketball, football) and help with contributing to the development of enrichment and residential experiences for students.
    Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
    Observing, assessing, and recording students’ performance, giving appropriate feedback, and maintaining records of pupils’ progress and development for the school leadership and parents.
    Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students.
    Monitor the academic performance of the players and always ensure high standards are met.
    Providing pastoral care and support to students, providing them with a secure environment to learn.

    ABOUT THE ROLE
    You will be responsible for:
    Content Creation / Engagement: 

    Building an ecosystem of compelling content that engages current parents and prospective families, drives brand awareness and catapults Nova into the stratosphere of game-changing educational organizations. This includes but is not limited to regular and agreed upon social media engagement (facebook, twitter, Instagram), student-run blog, regular newsletters, video, and web content. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fresh ideas across a variety of media, and measuring its effectiveness on a bi-weekly basis. 

    Customer Engagement / Events:

    As the Admissions & Brand Associate, you will be expected to organize and execute events (liaising with external companies and individuals where necessary or applicable) that both creatively encourage increased engagement with current parents, and which drives admissions with prospective families.  You will be responsible for the collection and analysis of data to determine the effectiveness of the admissions events, and for making recommendations on potential improvements.

    Admissions: 

    Tracking each applicant through the admissions funnel, from application to admissions decision in an organized and timely manner that reflects the Nova brand – as well as monitoring the data to regularly provide updates to your manager and the team on the progress.

    Communications: 

    Taking the lead on any written, verbal (phone, in person), and electronic (email, SMS) communications to parents of Nova students, this includes copyediting, proofreading, and revising communications across a variety of channels, and escalating it up to the chain where necessary or prudent. 

    Data & Reporting: 

    Giving the organization visibility into our progress against targets will be a key responsibility in this role. Filling and maintaining the Brand and Admissions dashboard in a timely manner, preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports on activities mapped out will be key to measure our progress against your team’s key objectives.

    Procurement:

    Liaising with the External Relations Team (and within a budget set by your Manager) to order and refill marketing materials including (but not limited to) promotional materials, decorative materials, admissions materials, Nova swag, etc.

    ABOUT THE ROLE
    Key responsibilities for the role include: 

    Teaching their  subject of specialization i.e. Biology/ Chemistry.
    Maintain positive, constructive and professional relationships with students, their families and colleagues. 
    Develop lessons plans and partner with the Learning Design Team in reviewing and updating lessons when required/ desired.
    Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.
    Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons  so that students are excited  and interested in their academic excellence.  
    Provide necessary accommodations and modifications for the growth and success of all students, both in academic and culture expectations.
    Be accountable for students’ mastery of  content and academic standards.
    Integrate interactive technology into lessons to enhance instructional delivery.
    Set and communicate rigorous and ambitious goals for all students and provide effective student feedback so they internalize them.
    Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior and model expected behaviour at all times for students to emulate
    Consistently meet the ambitious goals of a rapidly-growing organization
    Serve as teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty and support school wide programs aimed at behavior interventions.
    Timely capture of students data on academic outcomes and articulation of students progress to NP families and other stakeholders when called upon to do so. 
    Support clubs, societies and other core-curricular enrichments at the school aimed at building all rounded students.
    Serve as home room teachers when called upon to do so.
    Any other duty as assigned by your Manager.

    ABOUT YOU
    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a TSC certificate
    A Bachelor’s degree in Education and qualified to teach two subjects. The applicant should have attained a minimum grade of C+ in the teaching subjects i.e. Biology/ Chemistry.
    A minimum of a C+ grade attained in KCSE.
    You have 1-2  years of teaching experience.
    You have good working skills with technology such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel
    You are a great communicator. You are able to provide clear and effective written and verbal communication.
    You are flexible and open to change – you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.
    You are a problem solver – you are proactive in identifying issues and address these thoroughly by making an effort to find appropriate solutions.
    You are excited about our organizational culture—and in particular, you are fired up to challenge yourself by embracing mutual vulnerability and a firehose of feedback.
    You have a desire to further develop your leadership skills and apply them to transform the lives of African youth.
