    Key accountabilities and responsibilities 
    Awards Management and Compliance

    Oversee a portfolio of awards for the [Region Name] Region. Main donors in portfolio will include [List of key donors] but may also include other donors as assigned.
    Serve as the first point of contact for country office grants and partnerships teams and provide guidance and support on matters related to donor compliance and communication, project management (e.g. project cycle meetings), OTIS and partnerships (PEERS). 
    Participate in in regular meetings with country offices to provide support and collaborate with country program teams on issues related to donor compliance, submissions of reports and other post award deliverables, and/or monitoring/awards management.
    Guide country offices in managing partnerships with local or international partners, ensuring that IRC’s Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (PEERS) is being followed, review and process sub-grant/partnership agreements in alignment with PEERS, and coordinate with the compliance team in supporting compliant and effective partnerships as needed. 
    Review agreements and lead negotiation of award terms and conditions with donor counterparts in alignment with internal processes.
    Guide country offices, in partnership with other relevant departments, in the development and submission of grant amendments/modifications, ensuring high-quality, compliant submissions. 
    Supervise Regional Program Manager(s) in the review and submission of donor reports and other post-award deliverables, ensuring input from relevant technical and financial staff
    Provide support on private opportunities and awards management, in coordination with the Regional Support Manager and private fundraising team as assigned. 
    Provide support to and monitoring of projects to ensure progress against objectives and compliance with donor guidelines and IRC internal requirements. Monitoring of awards can take the shape of monitoring visits, participation in project implementation meetings and other regular calls. 
    Facilitate and build interdepartmental relationships to address country office needs and solve problems in relation to awards management, partnership management and compliance. 
    Maintain a strong relationship with regional and AMU leadership and escalate issues of concern as needed 
    Supervise direct reports in carrying out necessary functions as they relate to country program support
    Stay informed about programmatic issues and security and political developments in the region and how they might affect program implementation
    Coordinate with RPOs for other regions for information sharing and to establish a coherent program support and backstopping function between headquarters and the field. 
    Travel to country offices to provide surge support and monitoring across the areas of programs, grants, and partnerships, including for gap-filling purposes as requested.

    Proposal Development

    In collaboration with the Regional Program Development team, support business development in the region by providing effective proposal support, ranging from proposal management to comprehensive support and quality assurance for UN and non-European donors as needed. 
    Provide quality assurance and quality compliance support on proposals; leading proposal development and coordination as needed. Ensure responsiveness to and compliance with solicitation documents and with IRC’s requirements.  
    Review and advise on internal policy and donor requirements, budgets and supporting documentation for proposals in coordination with AMU and HQ Finance Department.
    Facilitate and/or participate in internal post-submission debrief sessions with country teams, technical units, regional team and other relevant stakeholders to collect lessons learned as needed.
    Maintain complete and accurate electronic files, including final submission packages and internal trackers, in coordination with the Regional Program Development team.

    Donor Liaison and Representation 

    Maintain contact with donors regarding updates, amendments, or key programmatic changes 
    Liaise with donors on ongoing and future opportunities 
    Represent IRC externally to donors and stakeholder networks, as appropriate
    Participate in representational visits, events and meetings as requested

    Staff Management, Learning & Development

    Coach, train, supervise and mentor direct reports, including communicating clear expectations, providing regular and timely performance feedback, document/discuss performance issues if needed, and deliver high-quality documented annual performance reviews
    Ensure direct reports are trained on all relevant IRC processes and donor regulations 
    Support direct reports in achieving annual objectives, acting as a trusted and accountable manager, mentor and professional resource, including promoting collaboration, enabling adequate resourcing and ensuring accountability

    Capacity Building and Training

    Mentor and coach Grants and Partnership staff on IRC systems and processes to ensure capacity is built at country level.  
    As requested, develop training materials and deliver training to IRC country program staff in coordination with the Directors of Awards Management and the AMU Training and Compliance team.
    In coordination with the Directors of Awards Management, develop and maintain work-processes and checklists for grant implementation and reviews, as well as record lessons learned
    Onboard new Country Office Grants and Partnership staff and new RPST members to assigned donors, policies and/or IRC processes.

    Other 

    Contribute to AMU and regional strategic priorities and initiatives 
    Liaise with communications and external relations staff to inform IRC media products as needed 
    Participate in special projects as needed and other tasks as assigned.

    Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

    Five years of progressive work experience in award management or business development with donors such as USAID/BHA, the U.S. Department of State/PRM and UN agencies. 
    Two years of international field experience highly desirable; familiarity with countries in the region preferred
    Project management experience preferred
    Financial analysis skills preferred
    Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in speaking on relevant issues with internal and external audiences 
    Proven ability to effectively manage relationships (e.g., with internal actors, peers, donors)
    Effective people management skills: ability to lead staff and promote productivity in a pleasant work environment

    Ensure monitoring and evaluation activities of the project are well documented and provide quality assurance to improve the program’s service delivery

    Qualifications

    Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.

    Required Experience & Competencies:

    At least two years experience working in a busy clinical health unit
    Must be registered by the authorizing board (Clinical officers council of Kenya)
    Team player and cultural sensitivity is required.
    Ability to work in hardship areas (Previous experience in a Camp setting will be an added advantage).

    Key Responsibilities
    Program Management:

    Program Activities

    Responsible for giving anaesthesia to all emergency and elective cases conducted in theatre, both minor and major surgeries

    Supervise theatre staffs and ensure smooth running of theatre activities and procedures in addition to allocating the support staffs duties

    The Investigator for the East Africa region will assist the IRC Ethics and Compliance Unit (ECU) conduct investigations of allegations involving fraud, waste, abuse, corruption, beneficiary exploitation and abuse, and other misconduct.
    In this role, you will support IRC programs to ensure continued vigilance with regard to the risks associated with violations of IRC’s Code of Professional Conduct and Policies the law/regulations and the further development of complaints mechanisms and investigation capacity. You will additionally collaborate with other IRC functional areas and programs to support our partners, sub-grantees and other agencies in encouraging a work environment that minimizes the potential for misconduct.
    Two commitments lie at the foundation of the IRC’s work: 1) our unceasing quest to serve the needs of our beneficiaries; and 2) our determination to meet the requirements of our donors as trusted stewards of their resources. This position will play a key role in meeting these challenges by furthering a critical mission of the ECU: to safeguard our employees, beneficiaries, staff and resources from misconduct and abuse in complex and high-risk operating environments through investigating allegations of fraud, collusion, and corruption in the use of the grant funds.
    The location will be remote working or from an IRC office, with primary responsibilities for investigations in the East region in Africa.
    Key Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities

     Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate amount of radiation to patients
     Perform diagnostic imaging examinations like x rays, ultrasound and refer appropriately for CT scans.

     Ensure radiation safety measures and protection devices are used and observed to ensure compliance and safety for both patients and staff.
     Ensure scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment are conducted.

    Human Resource:

     Attend the monthly Health program meeting and share updates
     Plan and manage staff leave and R&R plans ensuring adequate coverage
     Review the JDs for the incentive staffs working in the department. Hold monthly meetings with the clinic staffs and share the minutes with the Clinical Services Manager.

    Reporting and Coordination:

     Ensure all patient records are properly documented in the patient request forms and registers with all aspects of results
     Ensure the weekly HIS reports are compiled and submit on time.
     Take lead in quality improvement at the department and be part of (Quality Improvement Committee (QIC)
     Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained at the department.

Specifically, working to ensure that knowledge generation for EiE includes and is led by voices and organizations within emergency contexts and that the knowledge that is generated is relevant to and accessible by all INEE members. Furthermore, the Team Lead supports the generation of evidence across all INEE languages (and more).
    Strategy, Finance, Administration, and Partnership:
    This leadership role is responsible for oversight of the Data & Evidence Team portfolio and multiple donor funding streams. The position provides grant oversight, including monitoring project spending, supervising all project outputs, reviewing donor reporting, assessing implementation risks, and working with staff to seek mitigation strategies. The role works closely with the Operations Team to ensure donor requirements are met and solutions are found when projects encounter challenges. The Team Lead also promotes the sustainability of project activities through effective collaboration, networking, fundraising, and linkages to other programs, partners, and donors. This position coordinates closely with all of INEE’s team leads to ensure effective partnership and representation of the network.
    Job Requirements:
    Work Experience:

    Minimum 7 years of directly relevant professional experience.
    Strong theoretical and practical background in the field of education and education in emergencies, including both development and humanitarian contexts.
    In-depth understanding of INEE’s ways of working and role in the EiE sector.
    Experience working with networks and employing network approaches.
    Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
    Understanding and experience in the areas of research, monitoring & evaluation, and data highly valued;
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English;
    Strong technical knowledge of the field of education in emergencies and familiarity with INEE;

    Job Overview/Summary
    IRC’s Measurement Unit is investing significantly to improve the use of technology in M&E within its programs in international Crisis Response, Recovery and Development (CRRD). This will include development and deployment of new data collection, management and visualization tools, the transition from paper to electronic data collection, and improvements and standardization of data management tools (collectively described as “toolkits”). Working with the Director of Data & Monitoring, the Senior Business Analyst, IT Specialists and other members of the Measurement Team, the Business Analyst will apply their experience of M&E in the humanitarian and development field, to work as part of a team dedicated to creating high quality products that meet country measurement needs, along with the vital support systems and materials to drive their successful uptake.
    Key Responsibilities

    Coordinate the development of data toolkit workplans and document the scope, timeline, and costs for each toolkit.
    Plan and schedule project meetings with key staff in Measurement IT, Technical Excellence, and program teams.
    Support M&E toolkit requirements gathering and documentation, consulting with stakeholders to make sure they are correct and complete.
    Coordinate user acceptance testing, including helping technical unit product owners to develop user stories for testing, communicating with users, and collecting user feedback.
    Collaborate closely with IT and other key partners to ensure configurations meet requirements and adhere to IRC standards.
    Develop M&E Toolkit technical/programmatic guidance in collaboration with the technical units and IT, analyzing existing guidance for gaps and supporting the development of new guidance.

    Job Requirements:
    Minimum Requirements

    A master’s degree in social sciences, business or other relevant field, or a bachelor’s with equivalent experience.
    At least 4 years of professional experience, including monitoring and evaluation and technology implementation roles in humanitarian/development projects in diverse and low resources contexts.
    Familiarity with ODK based data collection tools such as Commcare or KoboCollect.
    Experience with data analysis and visualization, in Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
    Experience leading planning processes, building workplans and collaborating across diverse groups.
    Experience creating content for and delivering technical trainings.
    Ability to learn fast and work independently in a culturally diverse environment, listen and respond sensitively to different communication styles, and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
