    Duties and Responsibilities

    Provide Linguistic support to translation projects in the organisation,
    Conduct field research on Language Development Needs,
    Work closely with the relevant local communities in the language development process,
    Provide specialized help to translation teams in the areas of phonology and orthography,
    Provide training for translators on linguistics, literacy, and translation-related work,
    Assist the Literacy Coordinator in material development and editing.

    Qualifications

    Must be a born again Christian with a good Christian standing,
    A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, or a Bachelor’s degree in Education specializing in English/Literature or Kiswahili,
    Knowledge and/or experience in linguistics analysis,
    Ability to travel and carry out field research,
    Excellent report writing and computer skills.

    Serving at our Christian International Conference Centre (BTL-CICC) Ruiru, the Accountant shall be responsible for the Running and maintaining of a sound and elaborate accounting system that conforms to the in-house and International Accounting Standards.
    Duties and Responsibilities

    Preparing periodic and year-end Financial Statements
    Reviewing and ensuring implementation of internal controls systems
    Overseeing the cashiering processes
    Ensuring effective invoicing and debt Collection processes are observed
    Carrying out bank & other general ledger Reconciliations.
    Posting data into the accounting system
    Ensuring remittances of all statutory deductions

    Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration – Accounting option
    A CPA finalist
    Proficiency in accounting software especially Quick books, Sage or ACCPAC.
    Good command in Microsoft office applications (Ms word, access and excel)
    Experience in internal controls and financial systems reviews.
    Self-motivated, persistent, resolute and able to deliver without close supervision.
    At least three years’ experience in a busy accounting department. Experience in food and beverage controls in the hospitality industry is an added advantage

    Commis Chef

    The position is responsible for assisting the Sous/Head Chef on duty with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items in a fast-paced kitchen environment, while adhering to all Health and Food Safety Industry Standards.
    Duties & Responsibilities

    Do appropriate Mis en Place at the beginning of every shift as well as closing duties at the end of the shift.
    Portion, arrange, garnish and serve orders to customers at windows, counters, buffet or tables.
    Assist in monitoring food stocks and stock movement.
    Understand daily departmental costs and how they influence profit and loss results.
    Ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
    Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment as directed
    Ensure stock is controlled and rotated.

    Requirements

    At least a certificate in food production from a recognized hospitality institution.
    Two year of work experience in a busy establishment is required.
    Have a valid food handlers certificate.
    Conversant with the use of Cooking equipment in the hotel industry.
    Aware of the current cooking trends in the hospitality industry.
    Knowledgeable in cooking and presentation of food.
    High level of creativity and innovation
    Food sanitization knowledge is a must

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    The Partnerships Development Coordinator shall be responsible for directing and coordinating an outreach programme on the ministry of BTL to the Local Christian public and other relevant publics. The programme shall include activities that inform and interest the public in ways that they are inspired and involved in the ministry of Bible Translation 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversee the development and implementation of a viable Church Relations Strategy
    Identify viable fundraising strategies in order to secure funding for the organization from within Kenya
    Organize Fund Raising events
    Motivate the Church in Kenya to take leadership and active support in the Bible translation movement in Kenya and beyond.
    Create awareness on the ministry of Bible Translation among Children and youth in schools, churches and higher institutions of learning
    Establish and Coordinate vibrant partnerships with BTL partners and supporters
    Train, Mentor and Coach Staff on fund raising.

    Qualification and Experience:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Institutional Fundraising, Social Sciences, or Business Administration
    Minimum four years of demonstrated experience in Church mobilization and fundraising
    Strong skills in engaging with children and youth
    Strength in networking with various stake holders
    Experience in organizing successful fund raising events.

    Conducting research on potential donors/partners such as trusts, foundations, companies and high net worth individuals, etc., finding a match with partners whose philanthropic or funding criteria match the organization’s, or its partners vision and activities.
    Raising awareness of BTL and its work nationally.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Institutional Fundraising, Marketing, Business Development, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
    Minimum four years of demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategy and institutional fundraising.
    Experience in writing winning fund raising appeals to companies, trusts, partners / donors, and foundations is essential.
    In-depth exposure to the use of various media platforms such as print, electronic / online, and social media, for communication and brand building is desirable.
    Prior experience / understanding of the development sector, is essential.
