    Oversee a large TrustLaw regional portfolio of law firms, corporations, referral partners, NGOs, social enterprises and other key stakeholders, with a responsibility for stewarding strong relationships, tracking partner progress, and building an active, engagement membership in the region. Design and implement strategies to expand and strengthen the TrustLaw service, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and legal teams and we deepen TrustLaw’s work across the focus areas of media freedom, inclusive economies and human rights.
    Manage multiple cross-border research and other projects that address the most critical needs facing our NGO and social enterprise members and contributing towards achieving impact through a high-quality end product.
    Scope legal pro bono requests from our community of NGOs and social enterprises so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs. Oversee and, where appropriate, carry out TrustLaw core service tasks (e.g., vetting, chasing, feedback, reactivation), ensuring excellent quality of service.
    Maintain in-depth knowledge of TrustLaw processes and systems, serving as the first point of call for any questions from officers and managers in their region and ensuring guidance and best practices are followed. Support the global growth of TrustLaw team by providing training to all TrustLaw staff on core skills (such as effective recruitment and relationship management techniques or legal matter management).
    Oversee the creation and execution of a robust Africa regional communications strategy that includes events, promotion of TrustLaw publications, managing website content and TrustLaw member communications. Ensure regional communications outputs and plans align with global standards and plans.

    About You
    As our Senior Legal Programme Manager, you will likely have/be:

    An exceptional qualified legal professional with 7+ years of relevant work experience and a demonstrated passion for social change.
    Post-graduate background in the field of law, development, social change or management.
    Significant demonstrable experience and success with line management, including of team members at a managerial level.
    Strong experience managing programmes, projects and/or networks in the charity, non-profit, or pro bono sectors.

    As an Inclusive Economies Manager at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:
    Support the overall Inclusive Economies business plan and develop engagement strategies with different stakeholders in the region.     The Programme Officer, Global will be situated in Nairobi and work closely with our Global Programme Manager and Head of Delivery. Playing a key role in supporting TrustLaw’s global programme, the person in this role will:

    Coordinate TrustLaw’s global events, including working closely with the Head of Delivery, and Global Programme Manager to plan for, manage and deliver the TrustLaw Awards and/or the key annual global event for TrustLaw, in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
    Work closely with the Head of Delivery and Global Programme Manager to help implement and monitor an events strategy and approach that enables TrustLaw to deliver impactful, effective events to engage our membership and advance our thought leadership across a global team.
    Coordinate TrustLaw’s global communications initiatives and strategies, including by supporting the updating and production of TrustLaw communications materials, collection of impact case studies, managing the relationship with the external designers, and/or coordinating website updates and improvements, as needed.
    Coordinate TrustLaw’s internal requests for support from relevant Enabling Functions teams (Operations, Communications, Social, Design and Products & Technology) at the Foundation.
    Coordinate and support the implementation and use of the new TrustLaw member portal and programmatic offerings.
    Support the TrustLaw Director, Heads, Global Programme Manager in relation to TrustLaw’s strategy, planning, reporting and learning processes, including by:

    Conducting analyses of programmatic and project results (e.g., events tracker, quarterly results, annual results).
    Coordinating outreach for needs assessments, member surveys, etc.

    Coordinate updates to induction processes, internal team meetings’ topics, and other knowledge management initiatives for a variety of TrustLaw’s programmatic and service processes.
    Support various other global programmatic and communications work and projects, as needed.

    About You
    The successful candidate will likely have experience with several of the following:

    An exceptional self-starter with 3+ years of relevant work experience, and a passion for social change.
    A strong, proven ability to quickly understand and use new databases, platforms and technology.
    Experience coordinating projects, ideally for a beneficiary-focused programme or service.
    Experience monitoring and reporting on the performance of social impact projects and programming.
    Experience stewarding and tracking relationships and partnerships with NGOs and social enterprises.
    Interest and experience with communications and digital activities and projects.
    Experience organising events.
    Proven organisational abilities and experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Affinity for detail and extensive experience working on detail-oriented tasks and projects.
    Ability to work quickly under pressure, to prioritise work and meet deadlines to drive projects to completion.
    An independent self-starter able to design their own agenda and take responsibility to advance and complete projects.
    An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    A strong team player, able to work remotely and communicate effectively with a global team.
