    Overall purpose of the role: 
    The MEAL Assistant will be responsible for conducting Monitoring & Evaluation activities as per the work plan. This role has program

The role contributes to program quality assurance and data management, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides MEAL technical support and/or guidance to field operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring effective MEAL systems and tools are in place, and are adopted by field teams, partners and other implementing agencies. The incumbent will work closely with MEAL Officer, all the DRC program staff, & staff from partner agencies..
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Designing, planning & implementation of strategies for data collection & storage, analysis & sharing:

    Responsible for all projects database. She/he will work closely with the MEAL officer to support in designing databases on 
    project activities/beneficiaries and assist in updating regularly the database according to the project requirements.
    In collaboration with the MEAL Officer make recommendations about the methods the projects should use to collect, analyze and manage data to improve data quality and the efficiency of data systems.
    Support DRC local partners in all MEAL requirements including capacity building, assessments, and reporting
    Manage the Gender Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) by ensuring accurate data entry into the incident recorder, clean up, storage and system maintenance including troubleshooting.
    Ensure accurate data entry of new information into the beneficiary database and regularly update, maintain existing database
    system records
    Strengthen and maintain networks with other Protection partners in Dadaab by attending GBV and GBVIMS working group meetings to help analyze GBV trends, findings and best practices.
    Ensure timely sharing of GBVIMS line data on a monthly basis to the Protection TL and UNHCR focal point for consolidation.
    Ensure all program data (GBV survivors’ data, NFI distribution data, persons reached in various activities) is AGD (Age, Gender and Diversity) disaggregated, is entered into the GBVIMS/beneficiary database and safely stored.
    Support in conducting assessments and community visits as needed, facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data collection exercises.
    Conduct all field data collection through mobile data collection for quantitative data and paper forms for qualitative data. – ensure tablets and phones to be used for assessments are charged before commencement of assessment exercises.
    Assist the MEAL officer in conducting data analysis and providing inputs, information and statistics for monthly, quarterly, annual and other reports for all projects to the supervisor.

    Design and Implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Plans:

    Participate in the baseline, mid-term and end of term evaluations of program activities in accordance with the LEAP framework
    In close liaison with the MEAL Officer, support in short-term M&E evaluators, consultants and experts as required.
    Under the direction of the MEAL Officer, support research and study activities on M&E related issues.
    Conduct community visits, focus group discussions with beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries to receive feedback on project activities
    Maintain the Complains and feedback received and ensure a timely and appropriate follow-up or referral if needed 

    Report Writing & Documentation: 

    Assist in ensuring the Indicator performance tracking tool is updated monthly for all projects by the project team. 
    Assist in compiling and submitting monthly program reports to the MEAL officer 
    Assist in the preparation of the sector’s operation plans/work plans & reviews
    Assist in preparing relevant reports as needed 
    Assist to maintaining a clear and transparent filing system 
    Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

    Experience and Technical Competence 

    Minimum of 2 years of work experience within the field of monitoring and evaluation;
    Working knowledge in Garissa County (Dadaab & Fafi Sub-Counties) or ASAL areas
    Working in the field of Livelihoods/Self- reliance, Protection, SGBV, Social Work, Child Protection preferred
    Experience in working with protection information management systems such as GBVIMS, CPIMS
    Experience in participatory assessments and community-based monitoring approaches;
    Clear understanding of Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS);
    Experience with capacity building of staff, and in convening and facilitating trainings and workshops
    Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel Power Point, and other Statistical software
    Excellent analytical and report writing skills (English)
    Time management and organizational skills.
    Previous work experience in hardship areas or emergency setting.

    Education

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Information management Sciences and a background in Protection/GBV M & E.

    Overall purpose of the role: 

    The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning Officer will provide technical support to all projects and oversee all MEAL activities, including assisting project teams in defining indicators, developing data-collection tools and methodologies, and leading data and project assessments and project compliance audits For Boresha project in the Mandera Field Office. The MEARL Officer will collaborate closely with the Nairobi-based MEAL Coordinators, MEAL coordinator Emergency and field programme team to ensure compliance with DRC’s MEAL requirements and best-practices. The role will also ensure programme data and other protection data is accurately and ethically collected, stored, analyzed & shared in strict adherence to DRC’s data protection policy and MEAL guidelines.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Ensure full compliance with DRC’s Minimum Monitoring Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Standards in the project implemented in the field office. 
    Lead the development of MEAL components of project proposals or concept notes, including the development of indicators and project-specific MEAL plans. MEAL plans and DIPs will be developed in close collaboration with programme teams and will be used to populate DRC’s Indicator Performance Tracking Tool (IPTT), which will be used by the program and MEAL teams to provide monthly updates and analysis of progress against indicators.  
    In close collaboration with the Nairobi-based MEAL Coordinator and the program team, develop sector-specific data collection tools and ensure their proper use by implementing teams. The position will ensure the timeliness and quality of data collection, and ensure all captured data is managed according to protection information management standards and best practices.  
    In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator, lead field-level assessments, including baseline, mid-term, end-line and post-distribution monitoring surveys.  
    Produce monthly analysis reports with updates on the implementation status of all assigned projects. This will entail flagging areas of concern, developing recommendations for corrective actions to share with the Area Manager, implementing teams and MEAL Coordinator, and documenting lessons learned.  
    In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator, facilitate field-level learning events to capture, document and disseminate lessons learned for internal and external purposes.  
    Under the technical guidance of the MEAL Coordinator, conduct internal project audits with an eye to ensuring means of verification are documented and reflect data reported by the implementing teams.  
    In collaboration with the country-level MEAL Coordinator or Programme Coordinator, assume responsibility for the implementation of and compliance with DRC Kenya Community Feedback and Response Mechanism, and all associated tools and SOPs, in the Mandera field office. 
    Coordinate with the programme development team for reporting purposes and during project monitoring exercises and end-of-project evaluations. 
    Provide support in preparing and reviewing reports and verifying consistency between collected data, means of verification, the IPTT and donor reports.

    Experience and Technical Competence 

    A minimum of 4 years of MEAL experience within the humanitarian or NGO field.  
    Demonstrated experience translating theories of change, log-frames and results frameworks into monitoring plans, developing data-collection tools and protocols, leading data-collection and management process, designing and managing databases, and analyzing data.  
    Proven technical skills in monitoring, evaluation and experience with both qualitative and quantitative data-collection and analysis. 
    Excellent analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills. 
    Strong background in the use of computers including the use of software applications such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, statistics software such as SPSS.
    Experience in the use of the EU MEAL and reporting procedures will be an added advantage

    About you

    Overall purpose of the role:

    Act as substitute senior supply chain staff in the Regional Office (RO) and in the Country operations (CO), generally as a Suppy Chain Specialist/Coordinator/Manager, on short and long term missions – up to 75% of time. Role is in a RO, and will primarily serve COs in the  EAGL region.

The Team Leader will provide oversight, technical support, and leadership within the DRC Economic Recovery unit around activities related to financial inclusion and should have expertise in financial inclusion approaches.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Technical Expertise in Financial Inclusion

    Provide technical guidance on financial inclusion activities, including technical design of connecting entrepreneurs to formal financial institutions
    Lead the development of revolving funds to support financial inclusion
    Provide technical guidance on the training and establishment of VSLAs, their running and managing growth in their capacity
    Liaise with formal financial institutions to support access for hard-to-reach customers, building trust and setting up dialogues with target communities
    Support small businesses to access finance and repay safely, providing mentorship where necessary to support growth and repayment of loans

    Overall purpose of the role: 
    The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has enshrined localisation in its Strategy 2025 through its “Go Local” principle, which aims to engage local partners through “principled, equitable and collaborative partnerships in pursuit of a relevant, effective and sustainable response.” DRC’s Kenya programme has articulated broader localisation objectives through its strategic priorities for 2023, which include the aims to strengthen DRC Kenya’s collaboration with local actors, foster synergies around programming and advocacy, and promote the protection of rights and peaceful coexistence in displacement-affected areas.
    The purpose of this post is to provide day to day management and psychosocial support and related activities in Kakuma and Kalobeyei.  In particular, the person is responsible for addressing mental health needs of LGBTIQ+ GBV survivors and Persons of Concern. In collaboration with the Protection Officer (LGBTIQ+), S/he will be in charge of the provision of training and supervision of the GBV Para-Counselors, to respond to cases of GBV in the camp and ensure effective case management. S/he will work and liaise closely with the Protection Officer (LGBTIQ+), Protection Officer GBV Response (Psychosocial Counsellor), Protection Assistant GBV Response-(Psychosocial Counsellors (LGBTIQ+), Protection Assistants GBV Response (Psychosocial Counsellors), Protection Officer GBV Prevention, Protection Assistant GBV Prevention and Refugee Led Organizations (RLOs) on documentation of program activities as per the donor requirements..  
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Case Management

    Provide comprehensive case management psychosocial counseling to LGBTIQ+ GBV survivors focused on the survivor centered approach.
    Provide assessment and counseling both at individual and group level as the situation demands.
    Ensure all work with LGBTIQ+ GBV survivors is confidential and that ethical practices are observed.
    Document client data accurately in the intake forms and ensure they are under lock and key.
    Ensure that the GBVIMS is accurately updated on a regular basis.
    Participate in the interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with prevention team to disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
    Participate in the development of the case management monitoring tools and systems and ensure that all staffs that are required to utilize it are trained on the correct way of handling the systems.

    Coordination and Networking

    Maintain and strengthen existing networks through other service providers at the camp level, to ensure that LGBTIQ+ GBV survivors receive quality services and support both at the agency levels.
    Actively participate in scheduled meetings such as the Case Conferences, safe haven inter-agency meetings and as assigned.
    Strengthen existing referral systems and identify new networks to work with to ensure holistic support to the clients.
    Work in close collaboration with the prevention team to ensure ongoing needs of at-risk groups, women and girls are being met in the prevention related activities.
    In collaboration with other partners, design psychosocial interventions within the refugee community focusing on the psychosocial needs of adults, youth and children.
    Participate in conducting trainings for partners on relevant organizational development areas and support peer learning between DRC and other partner agencies.

    Community Engagement and Outreach

    Conduct sensitization, dialogue and mediation sessions with the wider population about issues of trauma and GBV.
    Facilitate formation of support groups for survivors of GBV and other vulnerable groups.
    Identify and strengthen Community structures through engaging community leaders, camp management and other stakeholders to ensure that the survivors receive adequate support at the community level.
    Support the Protection Officer GBV Prevention and Protection Assistant GBV Prevention and RLOs in dissemination of relevant information during the Community GBV prevention forums and meetings. 

    Monitoring and Evaluation

    Assist in preparing daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, progress notes, and treatment plans on time.
    Use appropriate data collection tools and submit assessments and reports in a timely and accurate manner.  
    Work closely with the refugee staff to ensure quality reporting.   
    Assist in the designing, planning, implementing and facilitating of external trainings for numerous target groups.
    Ensure Core Humanitarian Standards are mainstreamed in the day to day project implementation.

    Responsibilities and Tasks
    Responsibilities:  

    This role requires the post holder to coordinate closely with relevant Area Managers/Area Program Managers and technical teams on the ground to ensure that projects are implemented in time and with high quality. While not line managing the teams on the ground, the post holder is expected to take ownership for program progress for all work in close coordination with Area Managers and/or Area Program Managers, including supporting program teams in work planning, methodologies, writing proposals and the development of technical documents (e.g. BoQs, tools, SoPs). To achieve the overall and specific position’s objectives, the job holder’s tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Management and Programme Quality:

    In collaboration with the Head of Programmes and the relevant Area Managers, develop and standardize core competencies and staff performance evaluation plans.
    Lead Emergency Response staff to identify gaps and needs in CCCM service provision in DRC-supported sites in Sudan and develop proactive tools, solutions, and strategies in agreement with the responsible Sudanese authorities.

    Monitoring and Reporting:

    Ensure that all projects and associated activities are designed in accordance with high-level technical strategic vision, implementation plans, and donor requirements.
    In collaboration with MEAL teams, ensure that the design of monitoring plans for the implementation of projects complies with DRC and sector quality standards.

    Finance and Administration:

    Overall purpose of the role: 
    Under the technical supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Community Engagement Facilitator (CEF) will play an important role in the accountability and transparency of contributing to the field level implementation of an Economic Inclusion and Social Protection 3 years funded project by BPRM in Nairobi county and hopefully in its expansion to Nakuru and Mombasa subject to funding availability and intervention outcomes including lessons learned in its Nairobi implementation in year one. The responsibility of the CEF is to support cross-sectoral plans or activities in the DRC Urban Program community engagement efforts, in line with the organization’s strategy which seeks to assist refugees and the displaced persons to protect their rights and empower them towards a better future. 
    The International Labour Organization (ILO) with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) have come together to work on a project that will seek to promote pathways to economic inclusion and social protection for urban refugees and host communities in Kenya.
