    Overall purpose of the role: 
    The purpose of this post is to provide day to day management, psychosocial support (PFA) and related activities in Ifo, Hagadera and Dagahaley Camps in Dadaab. In particular, the person is responsible for screening for SGBV for new arrivals at the profiling desk, offering psychological first aid, triaging of SGBV at the SGBV field offices where necessary, referring all identified cases to relevant offices and partners for support and maintaining daily contact with the community level para-counsellors and community structures. S/he will work and liaise closely with the Protection assistants and Officers-PSS, MEAL on documentation of programme activities as per the donor requirements. 
    Responsibilities: 
    R1. GBV Screening and Psychosocial support:

    Conduct S/GBV screening at the profiling desks targeting new arrivals and offer Psychological first aid to those in distress prior to their referral
    Identify the various services needed by the new arrivals and link them for support i.e. medical, PSS, legal and security
    Closely working with the protection officer GBV response and the finance officer, issue cash assistance to the identified beneficiaries and follow up for the services needed/the POCs have been referred for
    The staff can be deployed to the SGBV field offices to conduct triaging and link the POCs to the protection assistants for case management and or link non SGBV cases to other agencies for support as necessary
    Provide comprehensive psychosocial counseling to SGBV and non SGBV survivors focused on the survivor centered approaches at the safe spaces upon deployment
    Conduct and coordinate group sessions- therapy, psychoeducation, peer to peer sessions in collaboration with the case managers.
    Where necessary, conduct Menstrual hygiene and management education as well as management of the Dignity kits
    Ensure all work with SGBV survivors is confidential and that ethical practices are observed.
    Participate in the interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with GBV Team to disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
    Ensure proper follow up, documentation and support of GBV clients referred for other interventions in the integrated programme approach.

    R2. Coordination and networking including community engagement: 

    Maintain and strengthen existing networks, community structures and other service providers at the camp level, to ensure that survivors and new arrivals receive quality services and support both at the agency levels(referral pathway) and at the community level.
    Conduct sensitization, dialogue and mediation sessions with the wider population
    Work in close collaboration with the GBV officer and GBV assistants to ensure ongoing needs of new arrivals especially at-risk groups, women and girls are identified and met directly or through referral 
    Effective Referral and linkage of GBV cases keeping records and following up to ensure cases reach the respective service providers
    Support the GBV officer and GBV assistants, in dissemination of relevant information during the Community forums and meetings. 
    Conduct outreaches with the prevention team and support in awareness on SGBV response e.g. calendar events like World Mental Health day,16 DoA etc.

    R3. Monitoring and Evaluation:

    Assist in preparing daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, progress notes, treatment plans and referrals on time
    Ensure that the client documents and information are well captured, updated, stored safely and reported on a regular basis according to data protection /sharing protocols
    Use appropriate data collection tools and submit assessments and reports in a timely and accurate manner   and where necessary work closely with the refugee staff to ensure quality reporting   
    Ensure HAP Principles and CHS is mainstreamed in the day to day project implementation 
    Attend relevant training forums relevant to the job 
    Assist with any other related activities as deemed necessary by the supervisor

    Experience and technical competencies: 

    Minimum of 2 years work experience in providing psychosocial counseling in a refugee context
    MUST be a Somali speaker and coming from Dadaab/Fafi  Sub counties
    Knowledge and skills on computer, GBVIMS, GBV, Child protection and case management tools is an added advantage
    Good team player; able to take direction and work collaboratively with others.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including empathic listening.
    Ability to communicate in a highly professional manner with clients, community members and professional partners.

    DRC Kenya will be implementing a new protection monitoring system implemented in all field offices. This role is responsible to ensure the quality of protection monitoring by overseeing and supporting incentive workers to identify and monitor their needs/risks and monitor any changes that affect the protection environment. The Protection Monitoring Officer will be responsible for planning and coordinating all protection monitoring – and working closely with the Protection Coordinator and Protection Team Leader to ensure that all staff have regular information around any emerging trends within the protection environment. The Protection Monitoring Officer will also be responsible for consolidating protection monitoring data – and working with the PIM/Advocacy Specialist to develop protection briefs. The Protection Monitoring Officers will be based in Dadaab and Kakuma, with possible travel to field offices within Kenya.
    Responsibilities: 
    R1. Protection Monitoring:

    Develop monthly and weekly work plans to ensure coverage of all relevant locations and that targets of protection monitoring are met.
    Organize and conduct focus group discussions and key informant interviews with persons of concern and key stakeholders.
    Ensure relevancy and accuracy of protection monitoring data and liaise with MEAL and MIS focal person for data quality on bi-weekly basis.
    Provide continuous training, guidance and supervision to protection monitoring incentive workers to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with relevant DRC standards, DRC Code of Conduct, Protection Monitoring SoP and Data Protection Protocols including regular follow-up in the field.

    R2. Reporting:

    Produce a protection monitoring reports and submit it to Protection Team Leader and PIM/Advocacy Specialist according to deadline.
    Prepare an internal weekly protection reports/tracker in English to be submitted to the Protection Team Leader; these reports should summarize protection monitoring activities carried out by the Protection teams and underline key weekly findings
    Develop ad-hoc briefs where needed for donors and/or other external stakeholders. Support the Protection TL in representing DRC protection work, where needed

    R3. Program Quality:

    Support the Protection Team Leader in reviewing emerging protection issues and changes to the protection environment 
    Ensure linkages between cases identified through protection monitoring and ongoing protection programming (case management, referrals). Have regular coordination with other protection officers. 

    Experience and technical competencies: 

    A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector related with an NGO/UN or civil society organization.
    Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. 
    Experience in using research methodologies and data collection tools.
    Excellent drafting skills in English and experience in report writing different audiences.
    Experience in the production of technical material (training material, tools, reports, documents) with good networking skills.

    Overall purpose of the role:

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Protection sectoral technical responsibility

    Technically responsible for the overall protection portfolio and ensuring AGDM in protection activities. 
    Oversee and lead the development, harmonisation and rollout of internal protection related tools, Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and guidelines related to DRC’s protection interventions. 

    Technical Line Management 

    Technically supervise protection managers and team leaders and provide technical advice and guidance to protection staff. 
    Responsible for participating in human resource processes including the recruitment of protection sectoral technical staff in country and setting performance objectives and performance appraisals for protection managers and team leaders.  
    Responsible for identifying protection sectoral technical gaps and establishing capacity building plans for protection sectoral staff.

    Protection programme development, quality assurance and oversight

    Lead the revision of tools and SOPs for the current case management system.
    Support program teams to review current referral mechanisms to link beneficiaries, particularly vulnerable individuals and groups, to services, through service mapping, referral workshops, and SOPs;
    Support the development of protection awareness curricula, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the implementation of a comprehensive training and awareness package.
    Provide regular technical trainings and capacity building to protection staff, partners, and on key DRC protection concerns and product solutions.
    Coordinate with other sectors to move towards integration of protection programs wherever possible or mainstreaming of protection within other sectors where integration is not available.
    Ensure protection mainstreaming including review of all programming approaches, SOPs and tools, and staff capacity development.

    Experience and technical competencies: 

    Significant knowledge of International Human Rights Law, particularly with Refugee Law and of Durable Solutions.

This includes further defining DRC EAGL’s strategic niche in building the self-reliance of conflict- and displacement-affected populations in fragile contexts through advanced and integrated livelihoods and financial inclusion interventions.
    Assist country operations to review and refine their strategic uses, planning and design of Market Systems Approaches (including in support to basic needs, in close collaboration with the Regional Emergency Coordinator) including via facilitating strategic workshops and based upon relevant assessments and stakeholder consultations.
    Assist country operations on Economic Recovery strategy development and associated resource mobilisation. This includes providing technical review of relevant proposals and reports and support to sector-specific donor communications.
    Liaise with Global Economic Recovery Team on global initiatives (e.g. programme, policy, advocacy, research) and represent DRC externally at regional level in relevant technical, policy and advocacy forums and communities of practice.

    Staff Management and Capacity Strengthening

    Specific areas of focus:

    Monitoring and evaluation: support outcome monitoring to measure programme quality, and evaluate impact, cost-effectiveness and relevance.
    Participation and accountability: support DRC operations to increase the participation of and their accountability to populations of concern.
    MSA preparedness: support organisational preparedness for market systems programming (including CVA and uptake of digital payments in country operations).

    Technical & Operational Support

    Technical support: provide technical advice and support to EAGL Economic Recovery country teams on assessment, design, set-up, implementation, monitoring, learning and reporting of higher quality, more timely and more accountable needs, preferences and market-based Economic Recovery programming on behalf of IDPs or refugees, and their host communities.
    Quality assurance & compliance: follow up on the implementation of DRC’s minimum standards for Economic Recovery programming and lead the development, harmonization, rolling out of and training in core programme tools, guidance and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required, with a particular focus on early recovery interventions. Assure compliance with DRC standards and procedures, and alignment with global and regional strategies, including through regular coordination with colleagues in support services at Regional and HQ levels.
    Risk management: support organisational risk management related to MSA and for core Economic Recovery activities.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Masters in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or other relevant field

    Overall purpose of the role
    Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Partnership Advisor (PA) will be responsible for the oversight and provision of technical support to respective partnership units/focal points in country operations to ensure partners are adhering to project deliverables, DRC compliance procedures, and technical implementation standards. The PA will be responsible for ensuring country delivery teams and mechanisms regarding partnerships are fit for purpose, and provide day-to-day solutions to operational challenges.     Responsibilities:

    Overall purpose of the role
    Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for the planning, management and oversight of delivery of all project activities, ensuring quality control, and the overall responsiveness of the assistance. The PC will be responsible for ensuring country delivery teams and mechanisms are fit for purpose, providing day-to-day solutions to operational challenges and closely tracking project deliverable.
