    Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities: 

    Lead to develop and manage urban projects communication plans (internal and external) and activities according to DRC’s policy and guidelines to ensure and promote DRC’s urban program work.
    Work closely with Project Leads on the development and implementation of urban advocacy strategy and ensure high quality communication products that speaks to DRC’s urban program work.
    Provide technical support and advice to project staff and partners on advocacy and communication deliverables.
    Lead and support the communication of visits to the area programme so as to highlight work being done on the ground and at urban level.
    Maintain a photo repository of high-quality photos of DRC’s work in urban programme that can be used for amplifying the organization’s efforts to impact the lives of marginalized communities.
    Lead and support in developing urban programme social media content and support the Advocacy Officer in administering DRC’s social media platforms.
    Conduct regular field visit to areas of operation in urban programmes to document human interest stories, successes and impact of DRC’s work.
    Develop project information sheets, donor briefs, key messaging and other relevant materials for use at strategic events to promote and showcase impact of DRC’s work.
    Conduct advocacy & communication capacity development or training for urban programme staff and partners and come up with an action plan for follow up.
    Ensure that DRC brand guidelines and donor branding and visibility guidelines are adhered to during project implementation, procurement and external communications.
    Support DRC Urban Project Managers and the Area Manager during external representation when required to do so, budget management and donor reporting aligned to advocacy and communication deliverables.
    Support in fundraising efforts by contributing in concept notes and proposal in advocacy and communication framework designs including budgetary requirements elements.

    Experience and technical competencies:

    Minimum 2 years + working on advocacy, campaigning or communications. 
    Experience with building constructive working relationships with diverse stakeholders or working with networks or coalitions (work in urban refugee and host community context desirable)  
    Demonstrable understanding of how change occurs and of effective advocacy and campaigning strategies including familiarity with online and social media campaigning.
    Sound understanding on the urban refugee context as well as willing and ability to adapt priorities in response to dynamic work demands.
    Strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills with ability to work both independently and within a team in a demanding working environment.
    Good analytical and strategic planning skills.
    Ability to communicate complex ideas simply, both verbally and through writing.

    Education

    Mentorship;

    Responsibilities:

    Program Support and Grant Management

    Supply Chain and Procurement

    Support the Supply Chain team in ensuring that MMC donors’ guidelines are adhered to.

    Oversees repair/maintenance of office assets, equipment and machines as needed.

    Overall purpose of the role: 

    Under the supervision of Head of Programs, the Inclusive Market Systems Coordinator will provide targeted and high-quality strategic guidance, capacity strengthening and technical leadership to DRC Kenya’s Market Systems and Economic Recovery portfolio, with the aim of promoting and reinforcing DRC Kenya and its local partners’ leadership and expertise in building self-reliance and resilience for conflict-, climate- and displacement-affected populations in Kenya and the wider region..

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Technical Design and Strategy

    Provide technical advice and quality assurance to the DRC Kenya team on application of Market Systems Approaches methodology and principles across the programme lifecycle including proposal design, sector selection, market systems analysis, intervention design and planning (sequencing, layering, integrating), partner identification and engagement strategy, facilitation, MEAL using theories of change and results chains, and adaptive management techniques. 
    Lead the country team and DRC Kenya’s local partners in the planning and design of participatory Market Systems Approaches (including in support to basic needs, in close collaboration with the Emergency Coordinator) to deliver high-quality, needs-based, contextually-appropriate Economic Recovery programming on behalf of IDPS or refugees and their host communities.   
    Collaborate closely with other technical leads within DRC Kenya as well as counterparts across the EAGL region (notably Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding, Protection, Climate Change / Environment, etc.) to explore options and maximise opportunities for integrated programming.
    Contribute to the further strategic and programmatic development of DRC’s Economic Recovery portfolio in DRC Kenya,  and across DRC’s Response Framework (Responding to Emergency; Solutions to Displacement; Addressing Root Causes) to facilitate nexus programming through local actors and systems. This includes further defining DRC Kenya’s strategic niche in building the self-reliance of conflict- and displacement-affected populations in ASAL counties and urban areas through advanced and integrated livelihoods and financial inclusion interventions.

    Capacity Strengthening of DRC staff and local partners

    Identify technical and/or programmatic gaps and provide training, mentoring and capacity building as required, and specifically for DRC Kenya partners on the front line of programme delivery. 
    Build capacity of partners and relevant DRC staff (including Operations staff) on their role in facilitating the application of MSA in programming to design advanced and modern marked-based program models for livelihoods, financial inclusion and food security interventions. This will include providing support / capacity building on:
    appropriate proposal design, 
    sector selection and participatory market systems analysis (appropriately selected for Response Framework e.g. EMMA for emergency response vs in-depth market systems analysis for durable solutions vs PCMA for crisis preparedness and resilience building / informing EPRPs)

    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

    Design and monitor economic recovery and livelihoods interventions for DRC Kenya, particularly including indicators for MSD and ways of measuring and tracking system level changes that are relevant for DRC’s target communities.
    Technical monitoring of DRC and partner project implementation and hands on guidance about how to adapt their programming to the changing context and emerging risks and opportunities.
    Ensure learning is captured and disseminated effectively across DRC and partner teams, both successes and failures and feedback from beneficiaries and other key stakeholders
    Quality assurance & compliance: follow up and report on the implementation of project level M&E commitments as well as compliance with DRC’s minimum standards for Economic Recovery programming.

    Experience and Knowledge 

    A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector related with an NGO/United Nations or civil society organization.

    Overall purpose of the role

    The Executive Support Officer will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and other RSMT staff.

    Key responsibilities

    Administrative assistance to the Executive Director

    Manage the calendar of the Executive Director, make appointments/schedule meetings with key partners (Donors, Local Partners, Board Directors, etc). Compiling documents for meetings and collecting and/or preparing and distributing background materials for meetings and events.
    Attend to and monitor urgent enquiries and issues, ensuring that they are brought to the Executive Director’s attention and, where relevant, referring matters on to appropriate staff for response.
    Maintain an effective and confidential filing system for the Executive Director including preparing replies to routine and basic correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director.
    Develop & maintain the Executive Director’s contact database for relevant donors, partners and other stakeholders.
    Screens documents that need the approval of the Executive Director, and certifies they are completed with compliance before presenting them for approval in ensuring that the process went through the right channels and financial verification are in place.

    Coordination of RO meetings/events/visits

    Take a lead role in organizing regional meetings and events involving the Executive Director, in liaison with other departments. Take full responsibility for scheduling timings and venues, communicating arrangements to participants and coordinating with Administration and Supply Chain team to organise transport, booking facilities and hiring service providers as required. Develop the agenda and materials as needed and ensure action plans are tracked, followed up and reported back to the following meetings
    In consultation with the Executive Director, develop and maintain a regional annual events calendar and disseminate it to RO staff and Country teams.
    Coordinate high level field visits and accompany visitors as necessary to field visits. Prepare visitors itineraries and send required pre-arrival information, arrange logistics and assist visitors in their visit schedule as required.
    Maintaining and ensuring that key EAGL Regional office information (organogram, sitreps, maps, etc.) is accurate, in a format to share with external partners, board members and also accessible on SharePoint for DRC EAGL staff.

    Support to DRC Kenya Board

    Act as a liaison and provide support to the Board of Directors. Arrange and handle all logistics for Board meetings and events: schedule meetings; draft agendas; develop, compile, and distribute presentation materials; and record meeting minutes on behalf of Board Secretary.
    Ensure adherence to compliance with applicable rules and regulations set by the Kenya NGO Coordination Board.
    Assist in the implementation and follow-up on Board decisions and requests as directed by the Chairperson.
    Other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

    The Economic recovery/Life skills Officer – Digital opportunities project, will report to the economic recovery team leader, h/she will also closely work with the economic recovery and the digital opportunities team. The position will support the digital opportunities trainees in linking them to the aspect livelihoods, offer a wide range life skills training, entrepreneurship training, business plan development and support in livelihoods mentorship.  
    The position is aimed developing the digital opportunities project participants to able to gain skills in negotiation, good communication, developing their CV`s and online profiles, create their own business plans and bid for online jobs successfully. 
    The position holder will work with a team of digital opportunities staffs which include an officer, assistants, digital trainers and a digital opportunities consultant.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Project Management and Development: 

    Participate in project planning & implementation including activity, budgeting and procurement/logistics planning 
    Develop and maintain detailed implementation plans to deliver program to agreed timeline and milestones
    Ensure all project activities are implemented on time and in line with the set-out work-plans
    Document lessons learned from training activities, community meeting and assist in preparing training reports
