    Position Overview

    The programs Intern will support CDTD’s initiatives in preventing and responding to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). This position involves assisting in program implementation, advocacy, awareness-raising activities, and providing support to victims of trafficking and vulnerable women and girls.

    Key Responsibilities
    Program Support

    Assist in the planning and implementation of SGBV prevention and response activities.
    Support the coordination of trainings, workshops, and community outreach programs.
    Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SGBV interventions and activities.

    Awareness and Advocacy

    Contribute to the creation and dissemination of educational materials on SGBV prevention.
    Support the development of content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels to raise awareness on SGBV issues.
    Support NSN in implementing activities that raise awareness about gender inequality and the prevention of SGBV.
    Actively participate in trainings, workshops, and advocacy actions.
    Create and disseminate content for events and activities, such as the 16 Days of Activism on social media, to raise awareness about gender inequality and violence against women.

    Data and Information Management

    Assist in mapping and disseminating information on rape hotspots.
    Oversee and maintain a 24-hour hotline to ensure immediate access to needed services, referrals, and safe shelter for callers.
    Collect, maintain, analyze, and disseminate data to support national referral mechanisms and policy-making processes.
    Compile, maintain, and update a database on shelters for shelter mapping.

    Rescue and referral services

    Support NSN in identifying and referring SGBV survivors to appropriate services, including medical, psychological, and legal assistance.
    Help manage a 24-hour hotline to ensure immediate support and referrals for SGBV survivors.
    Support the coordination of rescue and shelter services for victims of trafficking and vulnerable women and girls.

    Partnership and Network Building

    Foster relationships and maintain outreach strategies with existing and potential shelters to enhance program development.
    Lobby with duty bearers and policymakers, such as the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), to actively participate in and contribute to legal policies and shelter provision for SGBV victims and survivors.
    Advocate for and participate in the design and implementation of standards and guidelines for shelter registration.
    Collaborate with the State Department for Gender (SDFG) and the Collaborative Centre for Gender Development to streamline the shelter mapping process.
    Connect with other relevant state and non-state actors for resource mobilization and advocacy for SGBV cases.

    Reporting and Documentation

    Develop quality monthly reports, track project progress, and ensure timely implementation of activities.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and interventions.
    Perform any other duties assigned by management.

    Requirements

    Diploma in Community Development, Gender Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
    Previous experience (1-2 years) in women’s rights issues or SGBV prevention is an advantage.
    Strong commitment to women’s rights and gender equality.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to manage and analyze data effectively.
    Proficiency in using social media and other digital communication tools.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to uplift domestic workers and vulnerable girls and young women.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Financial Management

    Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    Prepare and monitor financial reports for various projects.
    Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
    Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to maintain compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

    Reporting

    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    Develop detailed financial statements and project reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
    Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and support for program planning and evaluation.
    Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, including those of donors and regulatory bodies.

    Grant Management

    Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and budgets.
    Track and report on the financial performance of grants and contracts.
    Ensure proper allocation of funds and monitor expenditure to prevent overspending.

    Compliance and Risk Management

    Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
    Identify and address financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and donor reporting.

    Capacity Building

    Provide training and support to project staff on financial management and reporting.
    Promote best practices in financial management across the organization.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    CPA II or equivalent qualification.
    Previous experience (35 years) in finance or accounting, with a focus on reporting and compliance.
    Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
    Demonstrated ability with quick books and other financial reporting software’s.
    Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
    Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
    Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
    Experience working in a nonprofit organization or government agency with reporting and compliance requirements.
    Experience with grant management and reporting.

    Consultant Counsellor

    Position Summary: Centre for Domestic Training and Development has a vacant position of a Consultant Counsellor to be engaged on FULL-TIME basis on a 3 months renewable contract depending on performance and availability of funding.
    Responsibilities of the Counsellor
    Providing Psychosocial support to all project beneficiaries at TAGS
    Appropriate case management of all project cases
    Development of exit plans for the rescued children who successfully complete training with CDTD
    Professionally facilitating the court process i.e. institutional committals OB No.,or statement recording and court appearances.
    Organizing and facilitating field activities such as conducting rescues of children at risk of trafficking at Victims of trafficking.
    Organising and managing case conferences
    Organising service providers’ forums
    Attending work related meetings
    Attending workshops and forums
    Generating weekly and monthly reports
    Profiling children cases
    Maintaining a confidential client record system
    Qualifications and Experience of the Counsellor:
    Must have a Bachelor’s in Social Science and a minimum of diploma certificate in counselling with 2 years’ experience working with children.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skillsin spoken English and Kiswahili
    Ability to develop counselling assessment tools including an intake form
    Excellent counselling skills including proper intake empathic listening, especially among children and adolescents
    Excellent case management skills for victims of abuse
    Ability to conduct assessments and develop clear intervention plans and appropriate strategies.
    Ability to communicate in a highly professional manner with clients, community members and professional partners and be able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
    Able to complete required reporting and documentation within the set deadlines
    A highly motivated, creative and compassionate person who is dedicated to ensuring that models of best practice are utilized
    Knowledge of community based child protection approaches, preferably experience in participatory approaches and child participation methodologies.
    Ability to use a wide range of child counselling methodologies
    Good managerial and IT skills including the use of Word and database software
    Ability to promote the values of diversity, equality, non-discrimination,Problem solving and conflict resolution Skills
    Demonstrable ability to adapt to changing programme priorities
