    Watu Credit is looking for an Operations & Administration Associate to join their office in Mombasa. They are currently focusing financing loans for clients intending to purchase motorbikes and three wheelers. The logbook serves as collateral for the loan. As the Operations & Administration Associate, you will join the team to play a key role supporting their day to day operations, implementing and improving systems to enhance their effectiveness. Your responsibilities cover all administrative and logistical elements of the team’s operations including log book administration and management.
    Responsibilities:

    Internal Operations Management

    Manage and control overall logbook ownership transfer process ensuring nothing is lost and operations are on track
    Cross-functional cooperation/liaison with the insurance team, customer care department, back office and recovery team
    Conduct regular system audits and control to make sure operations, filing and storing of the logbooks is precise and accurate
    Supervise and work with a team member
    Efficient and timely processing of payments and tracking of all invoices and payments in liaison with the dealerships

    External Operations Management

    Manage relationships with dealers (eg Car & general) and NTSA (National Transport and Safety Authority)
    Manage all communication with dealers and oversee communication with other external parties
    Liaise with NTSA to ensure all logbook ownership is up to date
    Control all asset transfers to the respective parties
    Constantly make follow-ups with the dealerships

    Does this sound like you?

    At least 3-4 years’ experience in Operational support or equivalent administrative background
    Proficient in using Google Sheets, Excel and other office applications
    Strong project management and analytical skills; a demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for a diverse number of projects and to complete them in a timely manner with limited supervision

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Asset Finance Officer – Sales

    To manage the rapid growth, we are looking for dynamic and hardworking individual to join our sales team in MOMBASA as ASSET FINANCE OFFICER – SALES.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Acting as contact person at nominated sales point(s) for all incoming inquiries from potential and existing Clients in respect to Asset Finance products offered by the Company; and directing queries’ regarding the Company’s other products to head-office.
    Providing pro-active, accurate, detailed and comprehensive product presentation in respect of Client’s inquiry.
    Conducting pre-assessment of Client’s financial position and offering best suitable product configuration.
    Collecting necessary documentations, including but not limited to ID, PIN, photo, asset details; checking for documents authenticity and ensuring scanning quality; submitting all relevant information to the back office for further checking and processing.
    Issuing appropriate Loan Agreement, ensuring data entry accuracy and correctness and making sure that all essential conditions of Loan Agreement such as (but not limited to) duration, payment schedules, due amount, as well as legally binding consequences in case of breach of Terms and Conditions of this Agreement are fully explained to the Client and accepted by the Client.
    Keeping Department Manager informed by submitting activity reports and performance analysis in accordance with Company reporting procedures.
    Ensuring that all sales and marketing activities operate cost effectively, consistently and ethically within the given mandate and within the mission and values of Watu Credit Limited.
    Any other duty as maybe assigned by the Management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
    Previous experience in Sales/Customer-Management/Micro-finance for at least 2 years.

    Major responsibilities will include:

    Monitoring and controlling of assigned Asset Finance Portfolio (boda-boda’s and tuk-tuk’s) using Company software.
    In cooperation with other members of Asset Finance Recovery, identifying overdue clients who have failed to comply with the contractual payment schedule, and where the telephone follow-up deemed not effective.
    In cooperation with other members of Asset Finance Recovery, prioritizing the collection assignments in accordance with Watu Credit collection policy.
    Proposing the best client handling and debt collection strategy to the Recovery team and the Head of Asset Finance Recovery.
    While in the field, identifying and applying most efficient communication tactic persuading the client to close his overdue and return to payment compliance, or repossessing collateral in case all previous communicational attempts have failed.
    Other related duties in connection with handling of collateral in Asset Finance.

    Requirements:
    NB! Practical skills to ride a motorbike are essential for this position.

    Installing, servicing and replacing GPS tracking devices on Company Assets (bikes, tuktuks, cars, etc.);
    Maintaining proper information logs and submitting to assigned supervisor all with GPS tracking device installation connected information – vehicle’s chassis number, plate number, make, model, color, trackers IMEI number, SIM card number, installation date and place. Other information may be requested at any time.
    Contacting client and organizing trackers’ service and/or replacement for the vehicles whose trackers are malfunctioning;
    Delivering the highest level professional service to the Company clients while keeping tracker’s installation and service information strictly confidential;
    Reporting all company related expenses (transport, installation related expenses) in accurate manner.
    Carry out other tasks as requested by the company management.
