Warehouse Operations Team Leader Dispatch Officer

The jobholder plans, organises, directs, manages & evaluates activities responsible for inventory & logistical components in the organisation.
Duties Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.
Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups.
Supervise the processing of requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursements of warehouse materials; complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels.
Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and catalogues as required.
Operate a computer to enter data, correct errors and control key screens as required.
Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Outputs
Ensure full delivery of sellable quality goods to customers within 48hrs.
Approve credit notes to enable full processing within one working day.
Weekly & Monthly customer service report ready every Friday and 4th of every month. Claim for damaged goods from transporters and insurers monthly.
Finished goods and raw materials are received and dispatched in accordance with set procedures at all times.
Stock accuracy by ensuring Zero stock variances between physical and system figures.
Zero stock variances between physical and system figures.
100% compliance to cGMP, FEFO and FIFO.
Formal half yearly staff appraisals for direct reports
Requirements
A minimum of a Degree or higher diploma is usually required. A combination of related training and considerable experience may be considered an equivalent.
At least 3 years work experience in a sales, warehousing, distribution, order processing or logistics.
Valid material handling equipment licence. i.e. forklift and or stacker
Valid driving license BCE.
