Reporting to the Telecommunications Engineer, the overall responsibility will be planning, designing and construction masts, construction and maintenance of repeater houses.
Telecommunications Rigging superintendent Responsibilities
Drafting and proposing rigging & safety policy.
Planning, designing and commissioning masts and solar brackets.
Preparing mechanical workshop activity plan and budget.
Formulating safety regulations on masts climbing and their enforcement.
Maintaining inventory of rigging equipment and accessories.
Ensuring availability of rigging accessories for effective routine maintenance of masts.
Ensuring safety of rigging equipment.
Controlling mechanical workshop stores.
Supervising, appraising telecommunication riggers.
Qualifications for the Telecommunications Rigging superintendent
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
At least five (5) years working experience in a relevant field.
Experience in welding, fabrications and rigging
