The chosen candidate will design the framework and content of our partner self-help materials, as well as actively identify processes for updating materials as our technology continues to evolve. The position will report directly to the Director of East Africa Operations and work in close collaboration with our Human Centered Designer and Trainer.
Technical Writer Job Responsibilities
Articulate a vision for the future of Angaza’s help content
Develop a framework for creating and updating help content
Create content for training and support materials
Design user-facing articles to suit an evolving technical platform and Android application
Endow Angaza’s customer support team with the skills to update and innovate content
Test and evaluate content with new partners to ensure quality
Requirements for the Technical Writer Job
3-5 years technical writing experience, preferably in a startup
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS in a writing or technical discipline, MA preferred
Strong copy and print design skills with experience in creation of training materials
High degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive timeline, work independently and incorporate feedback
Happiness in a very dynamic, fast-paced, flexible (and fun!) atmosphere
