Summary
This position requires an experienced sales individual to create awareness, manage dealer networks, specify products, and manage partner networks in East Africa for Impro Technologies’ Access Control products.
Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Planning
Analyses of the market to develop effective marketing/ sales plans, activities and promotions.
Develop dealer oriented marketing strategies.
To increase installer base.
Identify distribution channels.
Establish objectives
Achieve pre-determined revenue targets.
Establish relationships with consultants, end-users and installers.
Arrange training on Impro products.
Create awareness of Impro product range in the region.
Develop new markets
Develop new markets for all Impro products.
Develop brand awareness at end-user level.
Organizing
Be a full competent self-starter, able to work effectively and completely without supervision.
Service, maintain and develop existing dealer network.
Assist dealers to sell through both push (direct to installer) and pull (support consultant/specifiers).
Ensure that dealer employees are trained on Impro products.
Support dealers at trade shows and running regular dealer meetings to obtain feedback.
Grading and monitoring of dealers.
Setting targets for dealers.
Ensuring that all new products are demonstrated and discussed with dealers and that software and hardware upgrades are made available to dealers.
Supply Impro product manuals to dealers and ensuring that these are updated on a regular basis.
Maintain records of all contacts and reporting on a daily basis on any interaction with these contacts.
Maintain fully accurate and dependable CRM records including pipeline management.
Follow up on all opportunities with distributors and ensure effective translate of interest to order.
Marketing
Arrange training meetings for dealers to enhance product knowledge.
Call on dealers on a regular basis.
Ensure high levels of customer service and support.
Visit tender boards regularly, where possible.
Receive copies of all tenders and ensure there is follow up by distributors and installers
Administration
Maintain efficient paperwork.
Keep and update all records daily.
Sales bulletin, routine reports CRM
Accurate sales forecasting
Qualifications

Education And/or Experience
At least five years of experience in similar positions, especially in electronic security industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Must be able to handle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Strong abilities in problem solving, analysis and decision making.
Exemplary client service skills with the ability to maintain and extend client relationships.
Must have exceptional English communication skills, both written and oral.
Well-developed inter-personal skills and experience in interacting with various stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.
Should be familiar with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Experience in project management tools, such as MS Project would be advantageous.
Experience in CRM would be advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while preforming the essential functions of this job. The employee will work in an office environment, within a well ventilated area and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
Work Requirements
Regular travel will be required throughout East Africa within countries designated, with a small degree of international travel. The employee should have a valid passport and driver’s license.
