Roles for the Regional Marketing Manager Job
Promote the appropriate and effective use of marketing and social & behavior change methodologies to build marketing programs and drive impactful execution of marketing strategies;
Support country-level marketing teams in the development of marketing strategies and annual activity plans related to both products and services, ensuring alignment to global marketing strategies, donor commitments, and market conditions;
Champion a consumer-centric approach to all activities – supporting teams in building empathy with consumers and translating insights into effective solutions;
Play a key role in leading the marketing strategy for strategic regional/multi-country projects. In particular provide oversight to new business development proposals to ensure the appropriate integration of marketing concepts;
Provide strategic leadership for regional and global marketing initiatives in the region;
Contribute towards driving greater financial sustainability through supporting cost recovery initiatives and identifying opportunities for regional efficiencies;
Coordinate with other Global Services departments (and regional resources) including Research, Evidence and health departments to assure appropriate technical support and alignment are embedded in program and proposal development, marketing strategy and execution at the country level;
Be an active participant and contributor to the PSI Global Social Marketing team, providing best practice to the standardization and operationalization of improved marketing processes;
Work with country/regional teams to improve existing marketing talent and to hire, on-board and groom new marketing talent at the country level.
Regional Marketing Manager Job Requirements
5-10 years of professional experience in marketing. Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, MSc) in marketing, business, communication, or a related field a plus;
Experience in developing countries and/or in the health sector strongly preferred;
Proven track record of effective marketing, behavior change and communications programs;
Experience working with human-centered design approaches and leveraging consumer insights for program design;
Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to develop strong relationships across functions, abilities and work levels;
Demonstrated coaching skills, with an ability to inspire, influence and motivate teams;
Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written;
A self-starter – the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Someone who is proactive in looking for new opportunities;
Willingness to travel up to 50% of time within the region;
Fluency in English required.
