Responsibilities:
The role will consist of “making the trains run on time” through managing harvest collection, supply chain, warehousing, and route to market. The right candidate will be target oriented, and bring a true operational and enterprise building mind-set, as the company’s systems and routines get built. This includes ownership of systems roadmaps and designs, process management, customer experience, and implementation management.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
· 10+ years in FMCG, route-to-market, or consumer goods operations management.
· Candidates will preferably have experience in logistics & route to market in rural Kenya & Nairobi
· Local Kenyan candidates preferred
· Entrepreneurs; experience in growing start-up business
· Proven track record of leading in a growth-target based environment
· Proven, quick, project management skills
· Process-focused with strong analytical and system setting skills
· Great communicator
· Comfortable in a tech-based environment
· Extremely collaborative, and flexible, in a highly flexible and solution based environment
· Has gotten big things done in an adverse environment
· Willing to make sacrifices to assure the company lives up to its promise of rebuilding the way African’s urban markets work.
· 10+ years of management experience
· Degree in business, engineering, logistics, or other relevant fields
· Having overseen teams of 200+ in the past
