The Position: Under the supervision of Inclusive Elections Project Manager, the Inclusive Elections Project Officer is responsible for ensuring that the project activities are implemented within a project area as per the Programme strategy.
S/he will be responsible for
1. Implementation of project activities
Implementing the activities defined in the project respecting all the donor and HI requirements
Supporting and assisting the partner(s) in the implementation of the activities planned in the proposal, making sure that HI and donor requirements are respected
Ensuring the quality and efficiency of the intervention
Ensuring the activities are implemented in the best interest of the targeted beneficiaries and propose adjustment if needed
2. Monitoring, reporting and evaluation
Following up the implementation of the activities and fill in on a regular basis the data collection tools drafted by the Project Manager.
Ensuring that the data collection tools are properly filled in by the partners and sent on time.
Monitoring and tracking progress of partners against action plans and compile the information for review by the project manager
Participating to the regular update of HI Monitoring and Evaluation tool
3. Acting as the liaison with project partners
Planning regular meetings with partners and stakeholders
Ensuring effective communication among partners, organizations and the community
Ensuring resource sharing and knowledge transfer
4. Providing technical (disability and mainstreaming) support and capacity building for implementing partners and actors
Identifying the technical need for training
Supporting, designing and developing training plans, training curricula and training materials and making sure they are validated by the technical advisor(s) and the project manager
Developing ToRs and participating to the selection of facilitators and/ or consultant
5. Contributing towards the development of the project
Participating in the assessment of gaps and needs in the sector of intervention and exchange information with the Project manager
Participating in review of strategies and project planning
6. Respecting of HI identity, rules and policies
Knowing, understanding, applying and respecting HI code of conduct and ethic, HI mandate and values, HI rules and operating procedure, HI policies (child protection policy, policy and mechanism for the prevention of and fight against bribery, the protection of beneficiaries from sexual exploitation and abuse policy) and make sure they are known, understood, applied and respected by its team
Knowing, understanding, applying and respecting HI security rules and making sure they are known, understood and applied by its team
Qualifications and skills required:
Essential.
Education : A Degree relevant to the specific project thematic area.
Experiences :
Minimum of 2 years practical experience in project implementation and management
Technical competencies in the project sector (disability inclusion and advocacy)

Budget analysis skills
Disability mainstreaming, advocacy and inclusion
Good knowledge in computer; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet and electronic messaging system
