Main purpose of the role:
The job incumbent will oversee strategic planning, development and coordination of all portfolio and solution definition activities as well as manage the solution portfolio and i its associated components including market analysis, roadmap definition, etc.
Key result areas:
Develops specific plans and activities for specific solution(s) or solution line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish solution.
Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
Drives the development and communications of solution definition and solution plans to optimize metrics including CSAT.
Applies broad knowledge of company’s solution/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging service opportunities.
Oversees the analysis and evaluation of key statistics and customer requirements to define solution strategies and identify solution opportunities.
Evaluates in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new solutions.
Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future solutions.
Supports solution launch and provides support for sustaining efforts.
Oversees and drives solutions through the phase release or solutions release process including business case and resource requirements.
Identifies, evaluates and recommends opportunities consistent with solution line and solution objectives.
Manages solution portfolio roadmap and works to scope opportunities and obtain appropriate funding for new programs.
Ensures customer satisfaction scores are constantly improving by measurement through approved organisational policy and tool
Documentation and Reporting – Maintain a solutions lifecycle library
Financial – Solutions revenue
Financial – ARPU
Education:
Degree level education is required in a business related field
Master’s Degree will be an added advantage or substituted for by broad experience in similar roles
Professional Membership/Affiliations and Certifications:
Membership of recognised professional institution within the sales and marketing eco-system.
Professional training/certification in sales, marketing (e.g. CSMP, CIM)
Relevant Experience:
15+ years’ (this experience is C level) experience in technology industry in Solutions Management, Marketing or relevant role, including at least 5 years of people manager experience
A premier communicator with exemplary writing skills and an innate ability to make very complex concepts and offerings simple and intuitive.
Understand macro-business economics and be able to build actionable business plans and prioritize and categorize in complex and highly matrixed environments.
Proven Leadership in a Fast-Paced, Dynamic Organization: A proven track record as a decisive, action-oriented individual, who has led cross-functional global teams to define and achieve high value objectives. This individual will have the ability to coalesce varied constituents and drive to achieve superior results on a consistent basis.
Business Building Orientation: He/she must possess the technical knowledge and business understanding well enough to identify/define Services direction, requirements & gaps. Possess a track record of having successfully delivered on complex projects and possess global experience.
Team Player: The successful candidate must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments with a proven ability to drive change through influence and collaboration across a matrix organization in a highly fluid environment. Must demonstrate the ability to influence/sell ideas and present alternatives in a convincing fashion to a mixed audience, from peers to executives. This person will be seen throughout the organization as a model of integrity and ethical behavior.
Strong interpersonal, analytical and team management skills.
Extensive qualification in all facets of project life cycle: from initial envisioning, feasibility analysis, and conceptual design through documentation, implementation, enhancements, and on-going support.
Strong global application development, infrastructure planning, and implementation background with an ability to build and manage result-oriented teams.
Roadmap Planning, Headcount Allocation/Hiring and Stake Holder Interaction
Motivates others to achieve meaningful results. Inspires a sense of energy, ownership and personal commitment to Dell’s strategy
Crisis management skills – Maintains positive outlook, exhibits patience, confidence when faced with uncertainties/challenges
Experience in a large global and multi-channel environments, with experience in omni-channel strategy and execution
Strong track record in building high performing organizations with a focus on people development and empowered teams
Experience managing and optimizing operation and program budgets
Data driven and with a detailed knowledge of digital analytics
Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, influential skills and technical leadership
Experience in services and support, and working knowledge of end-user/customer experience
