Job Duties and Responsibilities
Developing and putting into operation the current system and technical advancement in the field of Laundry operations.
Ensuring washing of linen and uniforms as per standards stipulated.
Maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
Co-ordinating with the Engineering Department about routine maintenance of equipment.
Oversee the laundry equipment preventive maintenance program.
Assisting in preparation of the annual Laundry budget.
Look into new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
Overall controlling and supervision of the Department.
Monitor laundry costs.
Make reports and recommendations when required.
Conduct weekly departmental meetings with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management
A certificate in Laundry or Housekeeping techniques is a requirement
Minimum of two years in Laundry management
Strong leadership skills to motivate the team
Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
Familiar with Industry’s best practices
