Key Responsibilities
Initial set-up of the Human Resources department
Development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures
Management of the talent acquisition process
Management of the separation process
Development and implementation of performance management systems
Development of employee manual handbook
Analysis of training needs in the organization and design of employee development, training programs
Management of payroll, necessary deductions if applicable for any staff and ensure final list of salaries and advances payable, checked and verified
Management /support local industrial/labor relations activities
Drive standardization in the execution of HR policies and processes.
Support and facilitation of development of managers in people management and manager self-service.
Skills & ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Dealing with operational HR matters within a business context
Operational implementation of the HR strategy through day-today
Execution of HR activities
Delivery of core HR services through end-to-end framework
Practice in making business decisions that align with organizational goals
Managing stakeholders
Planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating projects
Multinational matrix organization experience
Multi-country experience
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Human Resource Management or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a HR Generalist
Ideally a local candidate from either Kenya or Nigeria
Experience within the healthcare sector will be an added advantage
Willingness to travel
Competencies
Knowledge of local HR Laws and procedures is a must
People management skills
Ability/willingness to work extra hours or beyond the normal working hours
Ability to work within set targets and timelines
