Group Compliance Manager Marketing Manager

Responsible for review of the company internal control systems, identifying potential risk within company operations. To evaluate financial and operational risk inherent to the business and provide an assurance to mitigate such risk exposure. To review level of compliance with company policies & regulations as well as other stakeholders like Government.
Group Compliance Manager Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an appropriate Compliance Framework.
Develop and review Policies, procedures and processes continuously to ensure that they comply with the Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks.
Develop an effective compliance management reporting system.
Continuously track and report on financial performance metrics against regulatory and performance or compliance requirements and make relevant recommendations.
Ensure that strategic plans provide due consideration to the relevant factors based on the compliance management framework.
To regularly carry out compliance audits of the Group and provide comprehensive reports to the Chairperson.
Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress
Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews
Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees
Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
Ensure user compliance with the standard operating manual & other company policies
Review operations procedures and suggest ways of improving them
Review the product costing and pricing in the system and recommend the best rate
Review bank, creditors/debtor’s reconciliation to ascertain their accuracy, reliability and ensure they are complete.
Review the operating system to ascertain they provide adequate, complete and reliable information.
Review compliance with tax legislation and advice on any emerging tax issues.
Monitor trading and non-trading stock movement and report on any discrepancies.
Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the department.
Develop new or review existing policies and document the changes.
Any other assignment.
Qualifications for the Group Compliance Manager Job
Degree in Finance or Business related field
Degree in Business Management /Basic Financial Control.
CPA K or equivalent.
Legal Background
Business process and risk analysis techniques
IT proficiency, ACL added advantage
Strong analytical & presentation skills
Good communication skills
Good planning skills
Good leadership skills
Problem solving skills
Investigative skills
5 years in a professional compliance environment
Working knowledge of ACL, or equivalent data mining software
