Reports to: Senior Developer. Dotted reporting line to Technology/Analytics lead
Job summary: To develop a health data capture and management system with analytical capabilities. We are fairly agnostic but we have a preference for developers conversant with the MEAN stack.
Timeline: 6 month contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities
Working closely with the senior developer to implement the app.
Maintain reporting on workflows and timelines for the development of different modules.
Working with the project coordinator and the senior developer, she/he will participate in focus group discussions and other forums with the county for the testing of the app and capacity building of s/CHMT and facility managers on use of supervision tool and on data use
Develop training manual for the app.
 
Technical
Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
1-2 years’ experience in mobile app development.
Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services
LAMP/MEAN Stack
Translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Database administration and management of a hosting environment
Unit testing with Karma or other appropriate service.
Version control with GitHub
Project Scope & Deliverables:
The project will look to develop a mobile app and a web-based tool to digitize a few assessment tools used by health authorities. It will additionally house an analytics dashboard which will be used to analyze results and support decision making.
