Food & Beverage Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Food & Beverage Manager manages all aspects of the F & B Department including but not limited to operations, coordination of activities of all F&B outlets including banqueting, functions, guest entertainment and implements /enforces the KSLH Standards of Excellence in all areas supervised. 
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the business performance of the F & B Department
Evaluate and strategize on F & B Department  sales levels and profitability by creation of  innovative customer driven F&B products and services for all outlets
Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the Department by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; determining system improvements & implementing change
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Setting departmental objectives that are aligned to the overall objectives of the organization
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and compliance with Food and Beverage Operation Manual
Overall management of the department including staff training in order to deliver high standards of products and services.
Building customer loyalty and KSLH reputation by promoting consistent production of excellent food and delivery of exceptional high quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations
Preparing budgets, controlling costs and ensuring equipments are maintained in good conditions to achieve exceptional client/guest experience.
Promoting teamwork through timely communication and coordination with other departmental heads
Preparing the monthly operational report that must include customer feedback on products offered and service delivery
Person Profile
Education & qualifications: Food and Beverage or business related management qualifications at degree or diploma level from reputable Hotel/Hospitality College- Kenya Utalii College Advantageous 
Experience:  5-7 years’ experience in F&B Management in a tourist class hotel with two years in similar position. 
Communication: Excellent communication skills, be fluent in both English and
Kiswahili
Technological: Possess advanced computer skills (MS Office application) and working knowledge of computerized Material Control systems. Back ground in Micros helpful
Other Attributes: Energetic, out-going professional, Possess unquestionable personal values founded on accountability, integrity and transparency. Be a self –driven, service oriented & team player Have planning, organizing and strategic abilities with strong report writing and self-presentation skills.International experience with a strong background in both Local international cuisine, menu planning & cost management advantageous
Work Environment: Able to work long hours with minimum supervision and often under pressure to meet tight deadlines. supervisory and motivation skills,
