Job description
 
Your main responsibilities are:
promoting exports of Finnish companies to your market
advising and guiding Finnish SMEs in their internationalization plans, actions and possible challenges in your market
identifying business opportunities and sales leads for Finnish companies in the area
identifying investors interested in investing in Finland
In order to succeed in this position you should have:
Minimum ten years of experience in international business, e.g. in export or internationalization of companies, consultancy or business development
Living and working experience in developing countries, preferably in Africa with established networks and understanding of the business life as well as the culture living and working experience in the area with established networks
Minimum 5 years of experience from the Finnish focus industries
Minimum 5 years of experience with Finnish and/or Nordic companies
Suitable university degree
SME experience (business development/sales/ marketing)
Excellent project management and communication skills
As a person, you are:
Target oriented and analytical with a consultative mindset
Team work oriented
Known for outstanding networking abilities
Fluent in English. Finnish or any other languages are seen as an advantage.
The employment contract is for a fixed period, starting preferably in January 2018. This position is based in Nairobi and reports to the Head of Region, Middle East & Africa.
