Brand Manager – Reserve Brands

Reports to: Head of Spirits
Job Summary
Your key responsibility will be to own, protect, grow and build these brands in order to achieve budgeted volumes, market share and profit objective, by developing and effectively implementing marketing activities. In particular, you will develop, implement and monitor the annual brand plan. Indeed, you will drive both top line and bottom line growth and thus own the delivery of the annual brand P&L
Accountabilities
As the brand owner, your top accountabilities will include :
Develop, implement and monitor Marketing Business Plans
Effectively manage all brand resources including monitoring and reporting on brand profitability and taking corrective action to deliver brand performance as per set targets
Develop and implement the brand communication strategy to build the brand equity scores and sustain consistent growth
Plan and implement brand media strategy
Monitor commercial brand scores and take proactive action on factors affecting the brand performance
Identify and recommend market research aimed at enhancing brand positioning
Analyse market research data, and develop and implement brand renovation and extension strategy in line with changing consumer needs and that enhance the brand strategy
Monitor competitor activities and take appropriate corrective action
Market intelligence through regular trade visits and utilizing this to enhance brand activities
Design, procure and distribute brand promotional materials
Interaction with Regional Brand (where applicable) to give updates on brand performance and to build brand plans
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A high level of energy and enthusiasm is an essential requirement for this role. Also of essence is a pleasant but strong personality, an outgoing nature and a touch of elegance. In addition you will have:
A Bachelor degree in Marketing, business or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years marketing experience, preferably in marketing exclusive brands
Experience in the development and execution of marketing strategies
The ability to drive for results and create collaborative relationships
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
The ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast paced environment, vibrant and energetic culture
The ability to understand interdepartmental structure and dynamics; manage up, or sideways as needed; use diplomacy to balance competing project requests
