Role Responsibility
As the Administrative Assistant, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all guests arriving for interviews.
Your role will be varied and can entail researching stories to assisting guests in organising transport and preparing for TV and Radio live transmission.
The successful candidate will also responsible for general administration around the bureau, including data entry, compliance, arranging work permits and visa as well as reviewing invoices as and when they come in.
The administrative assistant much be conversant in Microsoft Excel and be able to update and maintain various financial spreadsheets for the Bureau.

The Ideal Candidate
Requirements
Has the ability to prioritise, to use initiative and to work effectively under pressure without close supervision.
Has the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and at all levels of the BBC.
Will have sound planning and organising skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
Has hands on practical knowledge and skills in using a range of packages, including Word, Excel and accounting packages.
Has the ability to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
Has experience of producing timely and accurate information and reports.
Is able to work with attention to detail and accuracy.
Has experience of and ability to work flexibly and pragmatically in an operational environment.
Should have a lively interest in the broadcast news, online news and wider media environment and appreciation of the particular demands it may place on financial and administrative work.
