    Principal Accountabilities:

    Stock Management

    Taking stocks daily and ensure all stock movements are entered into the system
    Verification of all stock both closing and opening

    Profit Sales

    Work with the accounts department to set your budgets and targets and manage your costs accordingly
    Responsible for the achievement of set monthly and annual sets targets
    Management and control of accounts receivable and credit sales
    Maintain monthly actual margins within -2.0% to +1.0% of your calculated theoretical margins
    Take necessary steps to ensure your restaurant gains profitability

    Quality Assurance

    Responsible for maintaining high standards of excellence and raise our operations minimum score
    Improve on the scores within a specified time frame incase deficiencies are noted
    Ensure all the products are of acceptable standard i.e daily routine check of product shelf life
    Maintain a clean work environment with high health and safety standards always

    Staffing

    Conduct shift meetings with staff at the beginning of each shift
    Conduct monthly staff meetings with all staff
    Prepare and maintain the weekly work schedule for all staff in the assigned unit
    Conduct continous and quaterly performance evaluations for staff
    In liaison with the Human Resource department ensure proper staffing in the assigned unit

    Communication and Customer Service

    Respond to all customer feedback within 24 hrs from receit of a customer issue
    Reply to all emails within 24 hours of receipt
    Ensure Aura Clocking in/out reports are sent to HR on the 16th of every month
    Ensure timely communication of any supplier issue to General Manager

    Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:

    Diploma in Business Management or Business Administration
    3 years’ experience in restaurant operations, 2 years being in a managerial position
    Restaurant management experience is an absolute requirement
    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    Skilled in creating analyzing and understanding reports/budgets.

    Job Summary: The Senior HR Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership.
    The Senior HR Manager will ensure high quality and efficient staff recruitment, contracts management, orientation, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, code of conduct compliance, employee engagement and staff care.
    The Senior HR Manager will provide technical support and capacity building for HR team and will be working closely with the HR Admin.
    Officers to facilitate the development of a highly effective, strategic HR function.
    Based in the Nairobi office, this position reports directly to the Finance & Admin Director.
    Essential Responsibilities:

    Assess capacity of HR staff across IMC offices in Somalia in their ability to appropriately and adequately manage all HR issues and address any gaps.
    Work with the HR Officers, Legal department to ensure staff understand and apply HR best practices and IMC policy, and engaging staff to foster and implement a creative and productive workplace that actively promotes learning and staff development.
    Ensure IMC HR Manual is updated and circulated to all staff as required.
    Develop a training and mentoring plan to enable HR Department to work efficiently.
    Liaise closely with IMC Lawyers to ensure IMC is fully compliant with both Kenya and Somalia Labor Law.
    Serve as a member of the Country Management Team.
    Maintain a healthy and empowering office environment that encourages open, honest and productive communication among IMC staff by delivering an employee engagement and communication strategy.
    Support the management, coaching and development of national staff to build a cadre of skilled, committed and motivated staff.
    Work with HR Team and other department heads to update orientation/onboarding materials for new staff orientation and conduct training for all HR staff to carry out orientations effectively.
    Work with HR Admin. Officers to conduct training sessions specifically aimed at transparent recruitment process, contract management, HR reporting, staff personnel files management and effective orientation.
    Review contracts, employee data & records, leave administration and compliance to HR policies and procedures and work with HR Admin. Officers to conduct training aimed at all HR staff.
    Review all personnel files and related HR documents country wide and work with HR team to ensure all files are up to date and in compliance with IMC policy.
    Work with HR Admin. Officers to develop and execute capacity building plan aimed at Human Resources staff across IMC Somalia to enable them deliver timely and accurate HR services.
    Support and provide guidance to the Department Heads, HR Admin. Officers staff to effectively implement Performance Management Program and link it to staff development/capacity building and training.
    Serve as a mentor for and build the capacity of HR team to ensure sustainable and reliable HR services in all field offices.
    Ensure standardization of HR forms across offices and ensure use and sharing of best practices between field locations.
    Actively participate in proposal design and kick off meetings, specifically advising on organizational structure, position scoping and other inputs critical to ensure strong HR foundation to support program quality.
    Maintain a legal status of expatriates visiting the Somalia program – work permits, visas and passes if any.
    Act as the contact person with the NGO Board. Ensure adherence to the NGO Board rules and regulations.
    Escalate code of conduct issues.
    Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    Master degree or equivalent education in HR/Management/Business
    A registered member of IHRM with a practicing license
    5 years of progressive HR professional experience with a minimum of 5 years as a head of HR department or equivalent experience.
    NGO experience is essential.
    Demonstrated success as an HR generalist supporting employee groups of 500+ employees in multiple locations within the country required.
    Demonstrated success in supporting senior management and building relationships.
    Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, and training and development
    Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills
    Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced.
    Must be comfortable in being a proactive member of the senior management team.
    Must have a proven track-record of proactively identifying and communicating potential problems and proposing solutions.
    Must be able to function effectively in a loosely structured, but complex work environment and to set appropriate priorities and deal effectively with competing priorities and pressure
    Ability to carry out responsibilities independently with minimal technical support.
    Capable of managing conflict and conflicting views.
    Superb written and verbal communication skills required.

    Project Director, Family Planning, Kenya Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) Technical Advisor, Reproductive Health and Family Planning, Kenya

    NOTE: This position is contingent upon donor funding.
    PATH seeks a Technical Advisor for an upcoming DFID-funded Family Planning opportunity based in Kenya. The Technical Advisor, Reproductive Health (RH) and Family Planning (FP) must be a proven leader in the field of international RH/FP with senior-level management experience in public health programs. The Technical Advisor must be intimately familiar with the context in Kenya and have in-country experience with DFID programs. This position will report to the Project Director and is contingent upon award from DFID.
    Responsibilities:

    Provide technical guidance on RH/FP that is sound, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of Kenya
    Provide technical leadership and build local capacity using proven training approaches and quality improvement methodologies.
    Provide trainings (providers and training of trainers) as well as follow-up support and clinical mentoring as necessary for RH/FP.
    Support basic RH/FP care (including all methods of family planning, counselling, postpartum family planning and post abortion care services) at public and private primary health care sites.
    Develop strategies to increase the rate of attended births.
    Advocate with MOH for adoption of new evidence-based RH/FP best practices at health facilities in project sites.
    Advocate with other ministries, community, NGOs, and religious leaders to support and promote RH/FP components.
    Represent program at stakeholder meetings and technical working groups in relation to RH/FP and related technical areas.
    Contribute to annual work planning, training plans, quarterly reports and other required technical reports.
    Contribute to timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities and results.
    Ensure quality program implementation consistent with MOH Kenya Guidelines, global best practices and DFID Kenya strategic directions.
    Contribute to and coordinate with the programs monitoring and evaluation team (M&E) to evaluate program progress against deliverables on a quarterly basis.
    Oversee program design, implementation, quality assurance and monitoring of work plan.
    Coordinate with the other members of the technical team and NGO partners to develop and implement feasible facility and community-based approaches.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    A Medical doctor or Nurse/Midwife or any other closely related health care professional. Other health related courses (e. g., MPH, MSC or other relevant degree) will be an advantage.
    Minimum 7 years of experience working in RH/FP in Africa, preferably in Kenya.
    Demonstrated expertise in working directly with host-country senior government officials and policy makers in RH/FP.
    Experience working with host-country partners, organizations, and institutions.
    Strong skills in design, implementation and monitoring of program components; e. g. services, training, advocacy and coordination.
    Demonstrated capacity to work with government (national, county and sub-county levels) and other partners in developing technical materials and providing training to improve service delivery, advocacy and resource mobilization for expanding RH/FP.
    Experience with technical leadership for programs funded by DFID and/or other donor programs in developing countries, with significant Kenya experience.
    Strong verbal, listening, writing, and intrapersonal skills essential for effective coordination among several institutions and staff involved in a broad range of activities.
    Ability to multi-task is highly desirable.
    Excellent verbal, written interpersonal and presentation skills in English.
    Ability to coach, mentor and develop technical capacity in national projects and technical staff.
    Ability to travel nationally and work in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ADAL) region of Kenya.

    Must have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
