    Roles

    Reporting malfunction of boilers at all times.

    Perform routine maintenance of the boiler, engine, piping system and other related appliances in the Factory.
    Test boiler water chemical balance and bring it to the recommended level so as to avoid corrosion, deposits that may damage it thus affecting operations in the Factory
    Manipulate valves to control the flow of water and fuel and to increase or decrease steam pressure and heat as required for use in the Factory.
    Observe operating equipment, meters, and gauges to ensure that operation is in accord with specified instructions to ensure safety of the device and users in the Factory.

    Duties and Resonsibilities

    Track stock movement for all stocks in the company’s stock management system (Fleet wave)
    Reconcile all company-wide stock balances in the accounting system with physical stock balances on a monthly basis
    Responsible for monthly physical stock takes
    Generating reconciliation reports between physical stocks and system stocks and circulating them on monthly basis clearly highlighting variances
    Explaining in details any variances declared between system balance and physical balance
    Reporting and checking on obsolete stocks
    Generate monthly stock consumption / issue reports from fleet wave to be used to post in sage
    File and maintain original records for stock receipt and issues with respective sign offs
    Ensure fuel dip stick readings for the main bulk storage tanks are done daily at 8.00 am and a reconciliation report shared same day before midday
    Verify company fixed assets annually
    Take stock of equipment working tools (lashing gear, lifting gear among others) semi-annually and report status
    Ensure all assets are tagged
    Generate monthly summarized job cards from fleet wave system with detailed transactions analysed by vehicles, project, customers and costs, which should tally with costs posted in sage accounting system
    Generate charge summaries from fleet-wave system for charging services provided to clients / 3rd parties
    Participate in audit processes
    Implement company procedures and policies for stocks to minimize wastage and control costs
    Fixed Asset reconciliation
    Any other duties as assigned by line manager

    Requirements for the position
