    Finalise an agreed design and develop the workshop materials based on this, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
    Ensure all designs for the workshop materials are contextually relevant, gender sensitive and promote positive values and play

    Job Description
    The Service Delivery specialist is responsible for effective execution of ITIL disciplines within the OMAR Central Technology – Service Engineering business . The successful candidate is responsible for proactively managing the delivery of IT services to enable business and strategic outcomes of a specific business segment or client area.
    Experience with IT projects, vendor management, ITIL processes, software deployment technologies and customer relationships is an advantageous prerequisite.
    The primary purpose of the Service Delivery specialist is to support the smooth running of the OMAR Business applications and its infrastructure services. The role oversees a number of key IT Support functions within the OMAR Business. The IT operations processes will be followed namely; Incident, Problem, Service Request and IT Change Management. The second purpose is to assist in the maturing of all the ITIL disciplines. The individual will be responsible for achieving results through own efforts. 
    Key responsibilities:
    Incident Management 

    Facilitate the recovery of all incidents with appropriate reporting and notifications to key Stakeholders.
    Manage persistent incidents from Trend analysis and or Management Escalations
     Proactively and effectively manage incidents to satisfactory resolution in a timely manner, ensuring minimal business impact, and initiate escalation procedure as appropriate

    Play a pivotal coordinating role in all service management processes. 
    Stay ahead of the Curve on advanced global service management.

    Role Requirements

     Matric qualification 
    Appropriate IT qualification,  ITIL V3 Foundation Certification would be hugely beneficial
     5-6 years practical technical support experience. Broader knowledge across platforms.
    A good understanding of any of (proof of experience) IT Maintenance and Support functions
    Standby availability (after hours)
    DR facilitation and roll-out management
    Expedition of infrastructure upgrades

    The Urban Planning Consultant will support PLGS in both areas, by supporting technically and management on the implementation of National Urban Policy Programme, Urban Rural Linkages, Legislation and Governance and associated areas of work, where necessary such as inclusiveness in policy and plan implementation

    DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
    The duties and responsibilities of the Urban Planning Consultant are as follows:

    Provide technical support for the implementation of Phase 2 – National Urban Policy Programme (NUPP).
    Prepare progress reports on project implementation to be sent to donors and circulated internally for information sharing within the section.
    Coordinate and support the implementation on the NUP Demonstration Projects in Niger State, Nigeria.
    Contribute to the preparation of various PLGS written outputs, e.g., toolkits, technical guides and publications, draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports, among other knowledge products.

    Supervision:

    The Urban Planning Consultant will be part of, and work with the Policy, Legislation and Governance Section reporting to the Section Chief and the Chief of Urban Practices Branch.

    Qualifications/special skills

    Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Geography, urban planning, architecture, or related disciplines is required. A first-level degree with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advance university degree.
    A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, urban and territorial planning, policy-making or related areas.
    Prior experience at UN-Habitat is an added advantage.

    Languages
    Language Requirements:

    English and French are working languages of the United Nations. For the post advertised, fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of and ability to work in other official UN languages is an advantage.
