    Responsibilities

    Will be responsible for effective instruction, training and assessment of students in the assigned subject.
    Carries out supervisory duties and additional programmes as agreed with the Academy authorities.
    Implements consistent disciplinary practices in accordance with ASL policies and the Academy’s Student Code of Conduct.
    Looks to the welfare of all students, taking appropriate measures of support and guidance, either personally or with help. Checks students’ appearance and attendance.
    Adopts a positive approach to all students in the Academy irrespective of ability and behaviour.
    Reports to the Head Teacher concerns and information freely and when requested so as to maintain the good image of the Academy.
    Understands the goals of the Academy as detailed and acts in accordance with them.
    Maintains close and positive cooperation with the community served and colleagues. Attends meetings with parents and involves them in Academy affairs and concerns.
    Cooperates with departmental heads in setting, updating and following relevant schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional devices and resources.
    Maintains records of work, mark book and central mark book as agreed with the Head of Department.

    Qualifications

    Must be a degree holder – Bachelor of Education from a recognized institution
    Must be registered with Teacher Service Commission
    At least three years demonstrable teaching experience
    Knowledge of the current trends in their subject areas; passionate about 21st Century teaching skills and I.T savvy
    Familiar with the British curriculum, especially Edexcel & Cambridge
    Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
    Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities

    Responsibilities

    The Assitant operations manager will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the operations right from bagging, storage upto dispatch from warehouses to achieve the target operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    Planning and supervision of the stock receipt and dispatch processes.
    Managing  the operations department stakeholders (customers, contractors and suppliers) while ensuring compliance  with the company’s way of working.
    Steer the truck loading and offloading forecast plans to ensure fulfillment of customer orders/deliveries.
    Support the Operations Manager in providing  leadership in the execution of the country strategy in line with the company’s vision.
    Ensure adherence to Yara Safety guidelines.
    Oversee the inventory related  requirements and processes.

    Profile

    University degree in operations management, business management or related fields.
    Minimum 5 years  practical experience in a similar role
    Knowledge and experience in operations management and leading teams
    Proficient in using Ms Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    The Business Unit Manager will be fully accountable for sales and IGM in his /her region.
    The key input being the management of the complex relationship in publicly funded vector control projects.
    The role entails dealing mainly with Public funded tender business where decision making is complex and hence diplomatic skills will be key.
    The territory includes six main East African countries
    Major Tasks and Responsibilities

    Implement sales, short-term marketing plans, and assist in the development of overall medium to long term marketing plans by market sector.
    Develop, manage and maintain business relationships with distributor’s agents and key customers in the focus countries.
    Create a dearly defined network for the region, which can respond to public health tenders for vector control products and separately for pest control products
    Develop products and new sales /business opportunities for both vector and pest control in the East Africa.
    Ensure planning and achievement of sales and gross profit objectives as per agreed KPIs for the allocated countries
    Identify market entry points, essential potential partnerships, and coordinate registration of products throughout the given region

    Work Relations

    Local: Job position based in Nairobi, Kenya and relying on Bayer Kenya Infrastructures for Administration reporting to the Head of BES Commercial Operations based In Nairobi
    Regional / Cluster: Cooperation with support functions at BES SEEMEA, Istanbul and BES SSA Cluster in Johannesburg.

    Value added to the success of BES

    Develops and manages the distribution network (coverage of sales channels), Development of the vector and Professional Pest Control Business in the region.
    Liaison for Donor Agencies at countries level to secure business on donor funded projects (NGOs, Relief Agencies, etc.) and with Multilateral and Bilateral Agencies to maintain and ensure that BES presence is recognized at all levels when project proposals are discussed and carried out.
    Ensures effective penetration and develops sustainable business in Pest and Vector control.
    Assists in annual budget preparation, provision of monthly reports, identify regular sales variance, and suggest corrective actions plans
    Increase sales and profitability of business in the East Africa (Allocated countries)
    Increase market share in existing and potential markets

    Experience / Qualification

    Ability to travel in Eastern Africa, Ability to negotiate complex bureaucratic protocol.
    Fluency in English
    University degree plus formal sales or marketing management qualifications coupled with extensive (minimum of 3 years), marketing and sales experience in the Environmental science, Pest and Vector control Industries In both local and export market.
    Experience working in health sectors in Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Multilateral donors, Government organizations will be of added advantages.
    Well organized and a high level of autonomy
    Strong analytical problem solving and negotiation skills
    Basic knowledge of scientific principles and practices related to the Environmental science markets.
    Computer literacy in all relevant in all relevant computer programs
    Effective writing, reading, and presentation skills.

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

    An earned PhD in a relevant field, from a recognized University;
    Have served for at least fifteen (15) years of which 7 years Must be in a senior management position in the University or related institution;
     A thorough knowledge of the Universities Act, Statutes and other regulations governing academic, administrative and financial matters of the University College;

    Responsibilities

    Ensure effective accountability to the Deputy Principal (Administration & Finance) for proper management and implementation of activities in the Division;
    Facilitate formulation and implementation of policies and procedures to guide all activities in the Division;
     Ensure conformity to professional and quality standards in all activities of theDivision;
    Facilitate the preparation of periodic reports for the Division;
    Facilitate planning, directing, controlling, organizing, coordinating the activities of the Division;
