    UN Women East and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) Knowledge Management and Research department is soliciting for interested and qualified candidates (individuals, not firms) to be considered for editing and proofing consultancies for UN Women ESARO Knowledge Products. The expert roster will consist of highly-qualified and experienced candidates. Only applicants who pass all screening procedures will be included into the roster and recommended for consideration for editing and proofing consultancy positions. The editorial support will target both regional publications/ knowledge products and those of multi/ country offices where requests are made by those multi/ country offices.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    Working under the guidance of the Knowledge Management and Research Specialist and in close collaboration with the programme focal points, the expert’s primary tasks will include the following, among others:

    Edit the knowledge products to ensure that proper English grammar is used and the information in the publications, brochures and factsheets is coherent in addition to the design and layout of the products where requested aligned to UN Women branding and communications guidelines and templates;
    Edit, proofread, and re-write publications and knowledge products to ensure editorial quality of the content before publication;
    Read copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax;
    Responsible for implementation and operationalization of Editorial Policy to guide the operations of the publication;
    Tasked with implementation and operationalization of style guide with editing styles and guide to ensure consistency and quality of publications;
    Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources;
    Review and approve proofs submitted by UN Women prior to publication production;
    Read, evaluate and edit manuscripts or other materials submitted for publication and confer with authors regarding changes in content, style or organization, or publication;
    Make manuscript acceptance or revision recommendations to UN Women;
    Assist in identifying dissemination potentials for the publications and knowledge products;
    Advise on the layout, appearance, artwork, design, photography and content of all knowledge products for quality check before printing and dissemination;
    Continuous meetings and consultations with the UN Women team to ensure quality in knowledge production.

    To manage Corporate and Investment Banking Unit which involves growing business in terms of the loan book, liabilities customer base and income from the bank’s Corporate and Investment target markets. The job includes continuous enhancement of the breadth and depth of product lines for the unit to achieve and sustain competitive positioning in the target markets. Effective account relationship management resulting in optimization of customer satisfaction, retention and wallet share through selling multiple solutions from the entire bank’s product range is critical.
    Job Responsibilities:

    To create and manage corporate and Investment banking relationships and ensure optimal sells to all the customers.
    Grow the corporate banking customer base by recruiting new customers, and wallet sizing to the existing customers to attain high returns.
    Grow the Investment banking customer base by recruiting new customers, and drive to get new buyers and sellers.
    To manage the customers relationships to ensure retention.
    Monitor and ensure that there is no excesses that are not approved.
    Work in close partnership with Senior Managers in Credit Risk Management, Trade Finance, Investment Banking, SMEs and Group Head of Credit Risk Management to ensure that the credit requests for new and existing facilities are correctly prepared in accordance with bank policies.

    Qualifications

    Proven leadership and people management skills.

    Job Summary:

    The job holder will provide laboratory technical support at the Al Khair Clinic in Kibra, Nairobi.
    The incumbent will serve as the laboratory technologist and will utilize their valid licence to register the laboratory with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    Perform Laboratory investigations and ensure accurate, reliable and timely results.
    Maintain order and smooth flow of patients.
    Ensure that all relevant records are updated and maintained
    Monitor and supervise proper usage of laboratory reagents
    Maintain laboratory machines in good order
    Ensure general laboratory cleanliness is maintained
    Ensure SOP’s are used at all times
    Ensuring safety procedures in the laboratory are maintained
    Preparing of stains, reagents and solutions necessary for all lab tests.
    Participate in the facility planning and forecasting of laboratory supplies
    Ensure that all statistical reports are accurate and submitted weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually as necessary
    Maintain an updated record and compile and submit monthly inventory reports of all laboratory assets and equipment
    Participate in annual program planning process and budget implementation. Recommend budget revisions to focus on priority areas and assist with rising of fresh bulk supplies orders every quarter
    Supervise the storage of laboratory reagents and cold chain systems to avoid compromised reagents that may lead to false reporting
    Ensure all laboratory reports are done on time and sent to other government offices/ head of facility.

    Required Qualifications:

    At least a Diploma in medical laboratory sciences
    MUST be registered by The Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)

    Required Experience & Competencies:

    At least 5 years experience working in a busy Microbiology laboratory

    The selected community manager will watch the games live on Kwesé Free Sports and post live key information for each 15 games of the Rugby Africa Gold Cup via APO Group and Rugby Africa social media accounts. He / she will also have to incorporate media files forwarded by us, in order to compliment the live content (photos, videos, audios).
    Payment will be USD 1500 for 15 games.
    Being bilingual (French and English) is a plus.
    Experience in rugby or sport is a plus.
