    We are looking to hire a HR and Administration Assistant.
    Job Purpose:
    The ideal candidate shall be responsible for a variety of duties, including new hire on-boarding, orientation, employee records, payroll and benefits administration, file management, employee assistance and other special assignments as needed.
    Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Support the management in hiring of casuals and sending out correspondence to new/prospective hires.
    Assist in the recruitment process.
    Support the onboarding and orientation of new team members
    Support in disciplinary processes and coordinating with the respective managers in sending out correspondence related to disciplinary actions
    Providing advice and support to managers and staff on human resources related matters
    Keeping abreast of developments in various areas of human resources
    Maintain the personnel filing system for all staff and ensure that all files have necessary information.
    Support in off boarding of team members leaving the company and ensuring that all company assets are well accounted for.
    Manage the attendance data and leave application process to ensure that every team member’s leave days are updated in the system.
    Respond to all HR queries, follow up on information related to contracts, recruitment, security and safety.
    Ensuring accurate data and department records.
    Manage the administration
    Any other duty that may be assigned to you

    Skills and Qualifications:

    At least a diploma in HR
    At least 2 years working in a similar field
    Good communication skills both written and spoken
    Strong work ethics and integrity
    A team player who takes initiatives

    Job Summary
    This role is to develop and manage the technical operations of the Technical Department. Lead in achieving COSEKE’s key results areas (KRAs) relating to Technical Operations; Operational Leadership, Technical Operations and Development, Research and Innovation, Office Automation, Pre-Sales, Clients Support, and people management.
    This role is also to provide professional and efficient customer service to all COSEKE business partners, clients, suppliers, and employees.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical Operations and Development

    Oversee the technical operations and development of hardware, software, and web application projects.
    Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from the definition phase through to implementation.
    Ensure that all IT systems are robust, available, effective, and secure.
    Apply significant knowledge of technology industry trends and developments to improve services, software, websites, and systems. 
    Lead the strategic development of COSEKE’s ICT strategy and think strategically about how to improve, optimize, and expand it to meet the goals and objectives of the Strategy to 2023.
    Coordinate all projects related to selection, acquisition, development, installation, and implementation of all information systems projects (software development, hardware deployment, maintenance, and support of IT systems) and make appropriate recommendations to the Head of Service Delivery and Management.
    Provide advice to the Head of Service Delivery on evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems projects, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems and customer satisfaction. Evaluate information systems projects to measure their success.
    Review all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate. 
    Recommend corporate policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation, and operation of information systems projects.
    Monitor the approved annual operating and capital budgets for Technical Department in conjunction with the Human Resources and Finance Managers.
    Maintain knowledge of the latest technology, equipment, and terms of service agreements to minimize the financial investment required to meet established service levels. 
    Evaluate alternatives, perform an appropriate cost-benefit analysis and recommend solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.
    Oversee relationships with vendors for service and support of all information systems and technologies. Maintain and document system errors or defects.

    Operational Leadership

    Create and execute systems development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. 
    Keep the Country Manager well informed of the status of the development effort and serve as a liaison between technical staff and Senior Management. 
    Oversee the systems development lifecycle and manage the technical risks throughout all ongoing projects. 
    Manage technical and other resources within budget and systems development project schedules.
    Oversee the high-level project management of systems development and technical operations of the various COSEKE hardware and software products and web applications produced within the various sub-teams and ensure that both the development work and the day-to-day operations are running smoothly.
    Play a significant role in short- and long-term planning with other Senior Management Team members.
    Planning and management of budgets related to technical operations and delivery of hardware, software, and web application projects.
    Liaise with other relevant COSEKE sister companies, partners, and external vendors as needed in relation to technical operations matters.
    Advise the head of service delivery on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced tech environment.
    Ensure that systems are in place to track and report on IT system performance including KPIs on hardware systems uptime, website and web application uptime and performance, and security.
    Communicate complex technical information to non-technical people in a comprehensible form.
    Identify improvements to the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the technical department and COSEKE’s mission.
    Facilitate the development and acceptance of the Project Objectives and Business Case
    Define system development project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
    Develop comprehensive project plans that cover all project-related areas such as scope management, time management, risk management, quality management 
    Develop and manage a project budget that is approved by key stakeholders
    Manage and control the project in line with project and budget plans developed
    Execute a successful handover of project outputs into the relevant support area of the business
    Facilitate the transition of the project into the benefits realization stage and support phase.
    Effectively apply the best project management Frameworks/methodologies and enforce ISO project quality standards.

     Leads and manages a high-performing team.

    Recruit and select high performers, develop talent, and then recognizes and rewards performance in coordination with the Head of Human Resources and Administration.
    Improve communication skills and capability of Technical Team.
    Ensure the Technical department work with other departments to deliver timely and informative reports.
    Motivate the technical team by effectively communicating goals, performance expectations (KPIs), policies, and procedures and ensuring staff is suitable trained or skilled to meet the demands of their roles and hold them accountable.
    Drive high performance in the team through managing and coaching the team, prioritise work to meet outcomes, monitor workloads, reviews performance, and provide quality feedback to staff and senior management.

    Innovative Design

    Plan for technical team development to ensure that they remain up to date with new technologies, understanding their benefits and issues.

    Extend the functionalities of COST products we support.
    Develop own software applications e.g. EDMS, E-COMMERCE, SCHOOL APPLICATIONS, INSURANCE APPLICATIONS, FINANCIAL APPLICATIONS, etc. ready for demos and/or selling.
    In conjunction with the Heads of other departments, contribute to the development of the vision and strategy of COSEKE in relation to technology and services, and ensure that COSEKE develops and implements high-quality, user-friendly products and systems.

    Project Director, Central Africa

    The Project Director, Central Africa will supervise a team of staff to produce succinct, well researched, analytical, and timely reports and briefing papers addressing conflict prevention and resolution issues in Cameroon, Central African Republic and Chad. They will explain and advocate Crisis Group analysis and recommendations to national and foreign governments, warring parties, non-governmental organisations, international organisations, and the media.
    Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership and direction to the work of the Project, supervising staff and managing the project’s budgetary and administrative matters;
    Make sure that the security risks of staff and operations are reduced to a minimum by establishing and maintaining relevant local security guidelines and make sure that the protocols and guidelines that are put in place are being followed and staff and consultants receive proper briefings on Crisis Group’s Security Framework and Guidelines;
    Conduct, coordinate and supervise the analysis and field-based research necessary to produce high-quality reports and briefings on crisis situations over the course of the year; maintain a network of contacts in order to stay informed of relevant events on the ground;
    Give guidance, oversee, prepare and edit detailed reports, briefing papers and derivative products (op eds, blogs, short notes) setting out relevant research findings and policy recommendations in concise and clear fashion;
    Work closely with representatives of governments and international and local organisations in gathering information, seeking input and feedback, and supporting the distribution of Crisis Group’s publications;
    Maintain and extend the advocacy program in and on (countries in) the region, optimising advocacy efforts linked to the publication of the reports and other materials, with the objective of promoting the adoption of Crisis Group’s policy recommendations by concerned actors;
    Support fundraising efforts with selected government and private donors through meetings and other outreach, with the assistance of the development team.

    Requirements include:

    Master’s degree in international relations, political science, law, journalism, sociology or equivalent through experience;
    7+ years professional experience in conflict analysis, journalism, NGO, international organisations or government work related to the region with field experience in the region;
    Good knowledge of regional politics of the region’s conflicts and societies, and extensive contacts with governmental and non-governmental officials, the media, and local and international civil-society organisations working in the region;
    Expertise covering governance issues, stabilisation, security-sector reform and institution-building;
    Excellent writing and analytical skills, and ability to formulate well-targeted policy recommendations;
    Fluency in English (oral and written) and French required;
    Excellent editing skills;
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public presentation skills;
    Experience in management of a team.
