    Job Purpose

    The role is responsible for all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee, and business information in compliance with the Bank’s information security policies.: –

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Overseeing and implementing the bank’s cyber security program and enforcing the cyber security/framework.
    Support administration, optimization, and support of the Bank’s Technical security solutions, including perimeter email, cloud, network, endpoint, and data security solutions in compliance with the Bank’s policies and standards.
    Ensuring the bank maintains a current enterprise-wide knowledge base of its users, devices, applications, and their relationships;
    Ensuring the information systems meet the needs of the bank, in particular information system, development strategies, enterprise risk management framework, risk appetite, and ICT policies.
    Design cyber security controls with consideration of all users at all levels of the organization including internal customers and third-party users/external users.
    Work in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders to ensure staff and vendors’ access to our systems is secure has the necessary controls in place, and devices are fully operational and secure.
    Organizing professional cyber-related training to improve the technical proficiency of staff.
    Conduct regular and comprehensive cyber risk assessments that consider people (i.e. employees, customers, outsourcing, and other external parties) processes, data, and technology.
    Ensure timely update of the incident response mechanism and business continuity plan (BCP) based on the latest cyber threat intelligence gathered.
    Ensure frequent data backup of critical IT systems (e.g. real-time backup of changes made to critical data) is carried out to a separate storage location
    Ensure the roles and responsibilities of managing cyber risks, including in emergency or crisis decision-making, are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to relevant staff.
    Continuously test disaster recovery and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) arrangements to ensure that the bank can continue to function and meet its regulatory obligations in the event of unforeseen attack through cybercrime.
    Research on and provide technical security expertise in the Cyber Security Environment
    Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Job Requirements and Experience

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT, Information Systems or related field;
    A Master’ degree in Computer Science or IT, Information Systems, or a related field is an added advantage;
    Six (6) years of relevant working experience;
    Skills: Risk management, Reporting, Information security, System and network security, Testing and debugging, IT support;
    Professional qualifications in any of the following: CISA/CISM/CRISM/ CEH/ CISSP/ MCSE/MCITP/CCNA/Project Management Certification; SSCP; CompTIA Security+; OSCP.
    Member of a relevant professional body;
    Management and supervisory trainings.
    Meets the provisions of chapter six of the constitution;

    MEAL Assistant Program Manager

    ROLE PURPOSE

    Under the general guidance and direction of the Research and MEAL Specialist; the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will work as part of the county M&E team responsible for program quality assurance, accountability, documentation, and learning. S/he will be involved in day-to-day implementation of the M & E system sub-county level including data collection, collation, entry, analysis and use for decision-making.

    In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

    KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

    Manage information generated through MEAL activities, such as complaints databases, action tracker.
    Organize field visits to monitor program activities / interventions against Quality Benchmarks/Quality Checklists and produce & share reports with program team as well as management team based on quality and accountability findings. 
    Support program staff to strengthen joint planning and monitoring with stakeholders. 
    Contribute to the quality of program design – reviewing log-frames, results frameworks, project plan, strategic plans, MEAL Plan etc. 
    Ensure that the agreed action plans are followed in timely manner by program team and that the feedback loop is closed.
    Share all information (monitoring reports, CFM databases, preliminary verification reports, case studies etc.) with the support of  Research and MEAL Specialist.
    Share MEAL findings & CFM issues in each monthly meeting 
    Support in roll-out  of USAID Nawiri monitoring and evaluation strategy and tools at the Sub County level.
    Collect program routine monitoring data and follow-up with the program team on data collection and reporting.
    Support roll-out and supervision of data collection through Annual Surveys, Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and Quality Inquiry Surveys.
    Timely entry of  monitoring data into mobile and  computer-based data collection systems and working with MIS officers to resolve data quality issues observed.
    Entry of IPTT data on PRIME.
    Support Monitoring and Evaluation activities to ensure that program-based monitoring activities are being performed according to schedule.
    Support in conducting Quarterly data review meetings and Routine Data quality Assurance.
    Support and collaborate with the M&E Officer to provide timely reports and data summaries.
    Assist to maintaining a clear and transparent filing system at the Sub County level office.
    Support the process of testing and adopting relevant technologies for improving the efficiency of the program’s MEL function at the Sub-county level.
    Strengthen Sub-County government M&E and Data Use Platforms including Review Meeting, Data Quality Assurance, Mentoring and Supportive Supervision.
    Other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisor

    Contract Duration: 5 months (with possibility of extension) 

    Work Location: Lokitaung-Turkana

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelors holder in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or Population Studies, or relevant field (with coursework in M&E, research and evaluation methodologies, statistical analysis or organizational development) or similar field of study. 
    At least 1-2 years of program monitoring and evaluation experience 
    Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from UoN, AMREF or KIM will be an added advantage
    Proven experience of undertaking evaluations/research with outstanding skills in qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis using relevant software such as STATA or SPSS and ATLAS.ti 
    Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in INGO’s and or UN Agencies in developmental or in humanitarian programmes, with 6 months to 1 years in field postings, and 1+ years working for an international agency on monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
    Experience working with USAID funded project and familiarity with USAID/FFP M&E guidance and requirement is an added advantage
    Experience of, and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
    Demonstrated strong monitoring and evaluation skills, including planning/participating in evaluations
    Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports
    Technical expertise in various data analysis software and proven experience using mobile technology for data collection with experience of electronic data collection using tablets or other devices.
    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with statistical/graphical software or spatial software. 
    Proven experience with current technologies, such as web-based data management and analysis tools, digital data collection, mapping, Google applications, data visualization, interactive dashboards, etc
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in multicultural, multi -location, values driven teams

    Duties

    The incumbent serves as the post’s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission. The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Medical Provider (MP) or Regional Medical provider (RMO).

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    EXPERIENCE:

     A minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required. 

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    The incumbent possesses critical-thinking skills and comprehends MED’s policies and procedures regarding medical evacuations, hospitalizations and insurance reimbursement methodology. Must maintain current knowledge of local and regional medical services that can provide care for all acuity levels, including betted specialists and hospitals. Is a resource for arranging the best method to transport critically ill patients and maintains a working relationship with transport facilities.

    Education Requirements:

    Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Must possess and maintain a valid nursing license or a current   unrestricted Registered Nursing license from the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Western European equivalent is required.

    Functional Responsibilities

    Under the direct supervision of the Global Coordinator Adaptation Policy and Partnerships, specific areas of work for the Climate Change Adaptation Programme Officer will include:

    Provide assistance and project management, monitoring and reporting for specific implementation phases of the Adaptation and Resilience Programme Coordination Project across UNEP divisions.
    Organize adaptation webinars, virtual conferences, events/sessions and regular communications with project partners, taking care of the logistics and liaising with the relevant UNEP team for technical content.

    Support the implementation of the UNEP pledge to the UNFCCC’s Nairobi work programme (NWP), including the Lima Adaptation Knowledge Initiative (LAKI):

    Support the implementation of LAKI phase II in subregions,
    Support the scaling up of the LAKI to new subregions,
    Coordinate and provide inputs to relevant NWP processes.
    Support the development, delivery and organization of workshops, trainings, webinars, and other events.

    Support the development, and coordination of partnership and policy influencing activities for adaptation and resilience:

    Internal (e.g., GAN, Copenhagen Climate Center, relevant UNEP offices and programmes, GAN Europe network)
    External (e.g., Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action, Climate Resilience Food Systems Alliance, and other climate adaptation programmes and networks, etc.) and strengthen UNEP engagement with organizations and groups engaged on adaptation.
    Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifications/special skills

    The candidate should possess a master’s degree in environment-related sciences, climate change or related fields is required.
    A first level university degree (bachelor or equivalent) with two (2) additional years of professional experience will be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
    At least five years’ experience working in the field of climate change adaptation, ecosystem management and sustainable development is required
    Experience in policy engagement and coordination in the area of climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions and ecosystem management is required.
    Experience in planning and organizing workshops and conferences on climate change or energy with an international audience, particularly on-line events.
    Strong Knowledge of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) processes and the international climate governance related to the Paris Agreement, in particular adaptation and loss and damage.
    Experience in project management and coordination.
    Experience in institutional analysis and arrangement will be a strong asset.
    Sensible multicultural awareness and ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment is desired
    Knowledge of nature-based solutions is desired IT (Information Technology) and programming skills (e.g., excel, etc.) is desired
    Experience working with emerging and developing countries is desired

    Languages

    The working language at UNEP is English. Therefore, fluency in English is required, with an emphasis on both speaking and writing skills. Fluency in either Spanish and/or French is highly desired. Additional fluency in any other UN language is an asset.
