    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Teaching and evaluation of undergraduate and postgraduate students
    Setting, moderating, administering, processing and marking examinations.
    Academic advising and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students.
    Development of teaching and learning materials.
    Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in research activities. Developing research proposals for funding. Participate in meetings and conferences related to research proposals for funding. Participate in meetings and conferences related to research and building inter-disciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
    Participating in preparation of Department and Faculty strategic plans.
    Organizing and supervising educational activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
    Attending and participating in seminars, workshops, conferences etc, in relevant fields.
    Participating in administrative, academic and consultancy activities in the Department and other organizations.
    Participating in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of curricula in the Department.
    Attending and participating in the Departmental meeting and other activities for effective and efficient management of the Department and Faculty.

    Qualification Requirements;

    An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university;

    OR

    A Master’s degree in the relevant field from accredited and recognized University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry; and
    A minimum of twenty- four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers; and
    Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Implementation of ICT strategies and introduction/implementation of new technologies, system design development and maintenance;
    Manage project hardware and software packages and efficient networks administration;
    ICT infrastructure budgeting, and quality assessment;
    Update and maintain the IT/communication systems in both the Project Management and Coordination Unit (PMCU) and all the project counties;

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology from a reputable university;
    The candidate must have minimum 5 years’ experience of working in Information Technology sector out of which 3 years must be in government donor-funded development project;
    Programming knowledge or experience in languages like Java Script, PHP, HTML5, and relation databases like Microsoft SQL, MySQL and others;
    Experience in system development cycle inclusive data flow, work flow and to generate project specific reports;
    Graphic Communication, Graphic Design or Art (the medium which the project intends to use create the interface for the ICT applications);
    Experience in Geographical Information Systems.

    Responsibilities
    The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

    Develop and implement the Section’s medium and long-term goals and objectives, and related annual audit and work plans
    Plan, organize, direct and coordinate the activities of multiple teams and resources of the Section
    Define the broad objectives and scope for each audit/review
    Provide direction and leadership with respect to all phases of each audit/review with a view to ensuring that OIOS standards are complied with and that audit/review objectives are achieved within budget
    Review working papers and related audit/review communications (e.g., audit reports)

    Job – Specific Qualification

    Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), and Certified International Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent is desirable.

    Work Experience

    A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in audit, finance, accounting, administration, statistics, computer science or related area is required.
    Experience in audit management is required.
    Experience in analysis of complete sets of data to identify anomalies and trends is required.
    Experience in using data analytics tools such as IDEA, ACL, and Excel for analysis of entire populations of data is required.
    Experience in auditing in the public sector is desirable.
    Experience within the United Nations system, or similar large international organization is desirable.
    Experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

    The Conflict Resolution Officer reports to the Regional Ombudsman in Nairobi and works under the general authority of the United Nations Ombudsman.
    Responsibilities
    Within delegated authority the Conflict Resolution Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

    Assist in providing an impartial, independent and informal conflict resolution mechanism for addressing the employment-related concerns of staff members and related personnel of the Secretariat.
    Assist in conducting mediations, facilitated dialogues and other conflict resolution processes, including mediations referred by the UN Dispute Tribunal (UNDT).
    Explore with staff members and related personnel their options and the different avenues open to them, taking into account the rights and obligations existing between the Organization and staff members or related personnel when required.
    Participate in informal and independent fact-finding as required on issues brought to the attention of the Regional Ombudsman.
    Assist in identifying and analyzing policies, procedures and practices that cause tension or conflict and participate in analyzing trends.
